It wont work on my pc:(
When i try to start up the shortcut the front page of eve online comes and after a while it goes away.
It wont let me login

Completed the dummies guide exactly and i'm still getting the "status unknown" message, and he mentions to make sure to select Singularity as the server, i'm not given a choice.

I have problems log in the test server singularity... It says that it the username or password is invalid.
I enter correct information, as I can log in my account page, and also with the revelation's build...

thanks for the the tip on the missing dx file i drop one in my windows folder and it worked got onto test server it looks great. lol but know cant get back onto tranq main server. i have seprate folders for main server and test server. so god knows it comes up corrupt message so know i have uninstalled main eve folder and starting a fresh to see if that works fingers crossed.

Hey, apologies but i'm just going to duck in here and ask what build of trinity are we on?
Since i downloaded a small patch last night before going to bed my build (44568) is incompatible and doesnt give me the option of downloading a newer patch. I'm downloading this one at the moment -

Connecting to the server in this state could lead to a rather unpleasant game experience. Please restart the client prior to logging in."" mmm will try and delete the cache file on the test server folder to see if that works

I can't login with a similar issue, I try to login and it goes through all the processes, but then it just resets, try to connect again and get that error.

- applied eveclassicpatch41736-44637_test.exe
- shortcut edited with lua and test server ip
comes up with -- status unknown
firewall disabled - no difference
had similar for last two days - but DOES indicate when new paches are available...
any ideas?

I have a compatible version as I can see the number of players connected and such, but I am not allowed to connect. Since I just reactivated my account recently (apparently after Sisi's monthly update) it seems possible that Sisi thinks that my account is not active... but I would think it would refresh its active account reg more often then that...

You need to request your account to be reactivated on the test server by going to this thread. It's a fairly simple and quick process from what i can tell.
The reason is, for arguments sake, if your account became inactive on 10th November and then CCP did a new mirror for the test server on 11th November and, again, for ease of understanding, placed that new mirror on SiSi the same day, the 11th, then you wouldn't be able to use the test server unless you requested reactivation.
The same applies the opposite way around - you can continue to play on the test server if your account is inactive, until a new mirror is made whilst your account is inactive.

OK problem solved -- changed a couple of settings on my router sisi now working :-)
What settings did you change, i am having the same problem?

changed some of the port forwarding settings - put my gaming pc in the DMZ ---
would prob be best if the specific ports being used by the sisi client be forwarded correctly though...

I'm getting the same problem. Yesterday SiSi was working just perfectly, then I donwloaded the new graphics, and edited the shortcut with the "/end /LUA:OFF...", but it says:
Server: 87.237.38.50
Status: Unknown
My firewall isn't blocking it because I can play TQ just fine.

I can't get onto SiSi either, up until 2 days ago I had no problems. It still offers me new patches for it but the server status is always "unknown" as if the server is down, yet I can connect to TQ just fine.

Update:
I still cannot connect, but this time it's because I need to download a patch that's 42.2Mb in size. It won't dl through the client, and I can't download it through the "patches" section, it just hangs at 0% when I try.

Gonna need some help here. I've tried putting my router into DMZ, put in the I.P etc etc. But still getting no joy. What exactly do I have to do here to get on SiSi?

Try deleting your cache folders perhaps.

Sisi worked fine for me yesterday, but today I had to install the 44778 patch and now all I get is an "Incompatible (release)" message.
A bit annoying, since it seems that everyone else is getting in.

If you download the patch ( current tq - current sisi ) after patching it tries to login , you will get `incompatible release` ( i assume this because it does not apply any switches in your shortcut .
If you simply exit then restart from your sisi shortcut , it will login fine .
If not , then add the /server:87.237.38.50 switch to your shortcut

It's saying I have an incompatible release even though I'm running 44778.
It was working, and then I installed the premium content form here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=648337&page=1#25
Now it's saying that 44778 is Invalid (Release).

This happened to me I had to delete all my character settings in local appdata CCP folder :s.
I kept getting incompatible release when I was booting game off the start menu shortcut you have to use the desktop one perhaps.

I still get the incompat. release as well... so I tried the IP thingy and it'll bring the splash screen with the 2 Ferox's on it to load the game, but when it goes away nothing replaces it. I gave it a good 5 minutes to boot but no dice. My task manager also has the exe running... but I can't manage to get it to work properly. Oh, and when running from the actual folder I still get the release line... any suggestions?

Hi guys had the same problems you did, I thought I had the right switch and ip address at the end of the command line in the short cut, and couldn't understand why I was getting an incompatable release message. I found that I had missed a space in the command line, (eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF /server:87.237.38.50)between the end of "LUA:OFF" and the / before the word "server"
check the ip address displayed next to the server status, when you try and login, if it doesn't match what the command line in the shortcut says you have mistyped the command somewhere or left out a space. This is the command line I had that wouldn't work (eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF/server:87.237.38.50) and this one works (eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF /server:87.237.38.50) as above I just missed out one space:) I can now get into sisy with version 4.10.44778 try it and see if it works for you.

Having the same connection issue as a few others here. Have been playing the build fine until the latest patch, 44778, but now it say Incompatible, and is looking for 45000?, yet when i tried to find one, it tells me its for classic? just kinda disappointing wanted to see the final changes. Any and all help is appreciated
