Ok, a buddy told me the link works, you just have to click it a shitload of times to actually get it to work. So, after clicking on the patch link 100 times or more (literally) I finally didn't get a 404 error, and got it to download. After installing the patch though nothing has changed, I'm still getting status unknown.

strange now its telling me incompatible version again..so i cant even type my login and password to get the "wrong password" error.

Well I got one day of testing out of the 'Copy TQ folder and change the shortcut' process.I havent been able to get in for a couple days now.
Every patch I download says its incompatible with my current build,copying TQ folder AGAIN and changing shortcut now gives me an 'Incompatible"Release" notification.I see that there's been 10 - 25 people on lately..Im guessing devs but if anybody has in actual fact been able to get on that would be good to know. |

Well, I'm not a Dev, but I can tell you that everyone I've talked to hasn't been able to get on since the last update, and I've asked a friggin ton of people. Moreover, only 2 people said they were able to connect after the Emp patch, and as of the last update, they can't anymore. Me personally, I'm one of the majority that hasnt been able to log on test AT ALL since FW rolled out. I'd like to hear what the Devs have to say about it too.

Since people seem to be having trouble with patching;
TQ > SiSi - Classic
TQ > SiSi - Premium
This site is a huge help when trying to get on the test server when just creating a shortcut with the added line doesn't do the trick on its own, or at least it was for me.

It worked patched up but Its now saying my password is incorrect which is not correct lol. Makes no sense apparently thres 0 players too.

Okay i have made Sisi work multiple times and im an not a ****** with a computer There is simply something not working i have tried EVERY single method on the forums. All 87, yes i counted them ... Ive even tried my own ideas. Im fed up why Must i suffer for this?

Ok.I made another copy of my TQ folder and completely shredded all evidence of the previous SiSi folders.
Added the extra line to to the shortcut target and BANG..auto-updated itself to the test patch and all is gravy.Been on for the past 2 days. |

Got it installed and working fine, bought a Nidhoggur for 100 isk and when try to get on board, get told:-
Operation of Nidhoggur requires the skills Jump Drive Operation level 1, Minmatar Carrier level 1, Capital Ships level 1.
Figured would be instant skill buy and instant learn as this is test server ?
43 minutes for lvl 1 cruiser, would take me ages to learn all the skills
You currently have 34 skills and 826,409 skill points
Testing is nice idea for the really, really old players, but a waste of time for anyone that does not have lots of skills

You, like many other peopel when they first hear about the test server, misunderstand it's purpose.
The test server is where devs put up changes that they think they are going to put into Tranq eventually.
They've already looked for bugs, now they want people with skills exactly as they are to test so they can find all the little weird things that pop up when people with REAL characters test them.

Does anyone know when the test server will be updated with skills and such? I don't know the scheduling for that, I just recently figured out how to get onto it, so I don't know allot about it. Read some stickys but didn't see anything about Test updates or it being brought up to speed with TQ character stats etc.

Is the server down atm? I'm getting no connectivity, I just made the copy of my folder, so maybe I did it wrong, but I was able to download the patch, so I don't think so.

I'm getting some bizarre problem. I have copied my TQ folder, created a new shortcut (as per the OP), connected to SISI, received the "there is a new patch" message, let it download and patch up all with no reported errors then when I try to connect the process just seems to well, die.
I get the initial EA splash window, then Eve disappears from the Task Manager application window and then .. nothing.
Anyone any idea ?

ok, managed to get this all working ok
3 mill sp down though .. *sigh
for those that seem to have the issue of wrong passwords and user names, it turns out that if you changed your password after the mirror was done it will not work, you need to use your old password

It hasnt been down for a week...Ive been on daily as well as 100 or so other players have.I suggest you all shred any evidence of your old SiSi folders....copy your TQ folder again (I know..its a hassle)..change that shortcut address and try again.It 'should' autopatch and run straight away..if it doesn't then its Dev time Im afraid. |

man, how annoying is that? I just deleted the install of eve premium, now I have wait 10 mins while eve downloads...

I just tried to go onto test server by changing the server address to Singularity, It worked but is a little slow to boot up so be patient.
so what worked for me is ( Im on vista BTW )
/end /lua:off /server:Singularity

is the server up? Any one on it? Is there anyone reading this? Am I alive? Is this a dream? hello? plz help. Ive tried a bunch of times now and the most i get is Status:Unkown. Does this mean the server is offline or is there something Im not doing right?
