I dont know much about pilk(even though he is on my side and i see him in gangs giving boni), but TT is the kind of guy who fielded youknowwhat in a tournament. Thats not the kind of guy that tries to hide behind petty excuses in my book. Besides its a gentlemans agreement, some of you might not understand that but normal betting rules dont apply to that. Those kind of bets are never voided for any reason, apart from one of the involved parties being less then they thought themselves to be. When you place a bet, you are making a contract with the bookmaker. This means that when you place the bet, you agree to the rules listed specifically at this time, with the provisions stated at the time (stake size, terms of the wager, etc) and you agree to honour the terms and conditions of the bet as stated. The bet was, that IAC would hold the station on the 20th. There were no Act of God, Server Downtime, random kitty attack, etc, clauses in the contract, as witnessed by CAOD, and so as such, the bet stands. This is standard practice at any reputable bookmaker throughout the world. Analogies to a soccer game or William hill are silly, because William Hill as a bookmaker has a set of defined rules, which you agree to when you place a bet with them. Their rules cover things like match cancellation, team forfeits, crowd riots, disqualification, etc. No rules regarding the bet being void or extended were agreed to in this bet, therefore the bet stands "as is". Unfortunately everyone's going to look at my ticker and flame me, but I'd say the same thing even if bob had lost sov previously and were trying to take it back as the server went down.
