If the client thinks you have no implants, it should also display training time wrong even if server-side it calculates/updates right. C\|S\|I\|N\|x.

I thought when they were introduced though, there was a (small) percentage that your implants could be destroyed? Not just the bug, but an intended game mechanic. I had a jump clone in amarr. And another clone (my main with +3 implants) which I took to minmitar space. When I decided to go PVPing, I cloned back to unimplanted clone in amarr. I then made a new clone in amarr to take the place of the one i was going to take out PVPing. I then outfitted my PVP clone with +2 implants. So, lets review: 1 non-implanted clone in amarr space 1 clone with +3 implants in minmitar space 1 PVP clone with +2 implants. So I get podded in my +2 PVP clone, and suddenly my +3 implants are gone, but my minmitar clone has +2 implants in it. I know I couldnt have taken my +3 clone out to PVP because that is the clone I jumped out of, and I have only cloned jumped once since I started. It seems to be wierd.. I learned long ago to not do anything other than minor market transactions and courier missions for a couple days after patch day, because there are always major side effects of very tough to locate and otherwise very minor bugs. I won't even consider switching from my long learning skill to something I really want now until after Monday and TQ appears to be consistently stable. But bump for those learning very expensive mistakes. I wouldn't personally pay for newly introduced skills till I was sure that they worked as intended, and new ships worked as intended (does the Cloning Vat on a Mothership work yet?). But then I've never been a "bleeding edge of technology" kind of guy, in or out of Eve. See i mean you lose a ship, and it takes 3-4 weeks to get even an answer back. I can barely imagine how bad its going to be, with 10,000 petitions wondering where my implants are. Will you be reimbursing us for our lost skill training time? Or our ability to no longer have our fancy pirate implant bonuses? Can i install new implants, and still get my old ones replaced? It might be something as simple as the program thinking you are replacing implants and then removing them for not recognizing separate J-clones.

CCP in the help channel said not to replace the lost implants with new ones...can't jump to another clone either. So basically I'm losing the one thing I can't replace, time. If they are taking so long to replace because they are trying to figure out how to help with lost time (yeah right) then I'll happily wait.

For now it just comes down to the minor inconvenience of post-patch growing pains. If you can't sit that out, I'd suggest avoiding online games altogether, as you'll find similar experiences everywhere. Of course, all my assurances are null and void if nothing is actually fixed, but it's still early, give it time.

Did not even look at the implants just assumed that they would be fine. Log in this afternoon and was joking with a corpmate about how cool it was that CCP pwnt everyones boot.ini, then he says 'and implants too' so im like 'wut?!' and he tells me about this issue so I look at my implants and sure enough I am missing half of them :(. All my +4's are still there but slots 6 through 9, which were filled with a 'noble' set went poof. I am really not very happy about this situation. As people have mentioned, it would be nice if we were told if we could buy temporary implants. I also want to point out that you didn't have to clone jump. When you activate that jump clone you assume that one of the possible risks is losing your implants. In fact, when you log onto eve, you are assuming all responsibility for what may or may not happen to your character as the result of a content patch. Really too, this is an easy 10 minute fix if you had the GM client. That you are playing an MMO and haven't been able to access and fix this issue, whether from spawning new implants via a game client, or finding and isolating the code issue and correcting yourself absolves CCP of all responsibility. So, stop whining for free stuff you greedy bastard. GET OVER IT. -Karl

This is one of the cases where "our logs do not indicate..." simply will not be accepted by the community.

You will be lucky if your reimbursed within a month. The game's on 23/7 after all, I've always expected that they work shifts. That aside ... they want info, so does everyone. I (for one) have just successfully clone jumped. I was in Auvergne in a clone with five plus 5 implants, & jumped to Grinacanne into a clone with five plus 4 implants & 5 hardwirings. When I arrived, I immediately checked character sheet & found all implants still in place, both in the clone I'd just jumped into, & the clone I'd just left. Phew. I then restarted training & found it was taking much longer than it ought to complete current skill. I then checked my attributes - & found them all in the 18-19 range, despite my character sheet showing I was in plus 4s :( However, after relogging I found my attributes were correctly showing as in the 22-23 range, & my training time to have reduced to reflect this. So, jump cloning seems slightly buggy, but safe. Unless I was just lucky (& Eyam never gets lucky). Official response would still be nice, please. Eyam.

The clone I jumped FROM had: +3 (Basic) implants in slots 1-4 and a +4 (Standard) in slot 5. These are still there. The clone I jumped TO had: +4 (Standard) in slots 1-5. I filed a petition like mentioned in this thread, but because i train a rank8 skill to 5 i needed new implants asap, and already got me 2 new ones (in target clone). lets hope ccp doesnt simply "overwrite" the ones i buyed today. i also hope they somehow keep track what had been installed in the clones, because the potential to abuse here is obvious.... hey, ccp, i just lost a full grade snake set, all of them... oh, and some hardwirings (me looks at wishlist) uhuh....

Basicly they are not troubleshooters but sudo lawyers with a good command of written language and contract law. There job is for all effect more damage limitation than being alowed to just tell the facts, which is painful who alot or anybody who cares about there work/profession. Basicly IT got hijacked by accountants in the mid 90's to the extent that its all about accounting for what has happened and what you want to do more than actualy making it work. Engineers/techs put there finger in the air and know it will work and take X amount of time but accountancy forces it to take twice as much time due to all the burocratic hurdles. I once was able to get some hardware sorted in minutes by grabbing the head accountant and telling him that his PC owuld be dead come monday unless he brought this kit. Had it been 1000 users then he would of said fill in the forms and submit the request for the review commity.... You see the trend we live in. CCP is a company and as such are forced into this trend. Though less than most, which is worth a thought, but still; The bigger they are the more internal overheads generated from the likes of accounts/marketing and HR all empire building

Point is, implants are not exactly on the tip of the iceberg, so-to-speak, of issues that they're working on though if they don't have a few people off to the side working on them now, they will in time. Bottom line, stop expecting immediate fixes as those fixes do take time to actually get done and there are plenty of other things that need fixing as well besides implants. That's how it is with ALL online games and Eve Online is no different.

Bio Break Domination.	Posted - 2007.12.10 08:36:00 - [347] I JCed from an empty clone to a clone with 5 x +4s and 5 hardwirings, and lost all but 2 +4s and 1 hardwiring. This was on the evening of the 6th Dec. Petition has been put in, not yet heard anything. I have since JCed back to my empty clone, then back to the clone with the remaining implants, and I didnt lose any thiat time. Maybe it has been fixed, but CCP don't yet know how to reimburse everyone who were affected?

Not as critical as the POS bugs but it keeps people trapped in their jumpclone if they are not willing to risk their implants because of some stupid (maybe random) unconfirmed bug. Then I jumped to a clone without implants: no losses. Finally I jumped from the no-implant clone to another implanted clone: no losses. I think this squares with what other posters on this thread are largely saying.

As petitions go, it'd be a quick turn-around to have it closed in 5 days... but at the same time, I'd think their process in this case would be 1) Find implant-related petitions filed post-patch (Reimbursements -> Jump Clones) 2) Scan text 3) Call up DB history 4) Reimburse 5) Message If the issue is fixed, I'd assign a person to just sit down and go through all the implant ones and get them done. Then all the POS petitions. The problem, as far as I can tell, is that their reimbursement policy is so strict that investigation takes forever, and they can't/don't/won't relax it, even for a situation like this. No corp mates have faced this problem also. It has been over 7 days since I sent a Petition. I do understand that CCP has a lot of issues to deal with since the upgrade and are working hard on fixing different issues. But the difference between implants and a lost ship is that you can use another ship to rat or pvp or do missions when you get your ship back you can still use both of them or sell one. But with implants you loss skill points which really you can not get back. The only way I can not loss skill points is to sit in Empire in my other clone and not do much, or spend some more money and put new implants on a fresh clone which is a bit hard. I really enjoy playing this game and have spent many hours collecting the ISK that I used to buy the implants that I have lost due to a game bug and not my error. Just to make sure my point it clear nearly everything in the game can be given back or gained back one way or another the only thing that you will never get back is lost skill training time. ----------------- -------------------------------- One day the lag will get us all.

I too have been checking this thread every day for 6 days to see if its safe to jumpclone. Wanting to wait until CCP said something , Xmas will come sooner. Patience with CCP having finally run out i took the gamble with no official word. I checked first with others in my corp and alliance and they all reported successful clone jumps of late. This morning i jumpcloned 2 characters with sets of implants on both ends and i didnt lose any. Weather all who ive talked to (including me) have just been incredibly lucky or it is really fixed i cant say. If it works again tomorrow for the trip back then ill b assuming it was fixed.

Unfortunately, they gave me the wrong implants -_-; I don't even know how this happens. I sent them a very specific list of what was lost, but they claimed that they can't see that I had those implants. Instead, they gave me a set that is identical to the implants I have in another jump clone in that same system. Sadly, those implants (my pvp and stealth bomber set) are worth less than the ones I lost (my speed set). I've been playing EVE for around two years now, I think, and this is the first time I've been this frustrated with CCP. And I don't think I've ever played a game as buggy as EVE. I never had any of my implants destroyed even while jump cloning excessively. Until one day, I logged in to find that 3 of my 4 jump clones just disappeared. There goes about 200m in implants I am a bit frustrated now. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ty. So I am happy that I got them back. No real response to lost training time but we know ccp's position on that already so no surprise. At the very least there should have been a post here on this stickied thread, the thread unstuck and the community informed. After all these years, I can only express my disappointment at your handling of this issue, I'm used to much better co-ordination in CCP regarding things like this. "CCP Casqade" should have posted that here in this thread, where loads of people were waiting for a response. Bad show on CCP's side this time.
