Just want to bump this and let everyone know that our EOH Player Guide is now available (PDF format). It provides everything you need to know about EOH, how to get chips, play in ring games or tournaments, cash out, etc. It doesn't teach you how to play Texas Hold'em...you'll have to figure that out for yourself! While intended as a resource for those new to EOH or wondering what it is all about, even our regular players may find useful reference info in the Guide.
Please email all feedback (suggestions, error reports, etc.) to me so that the Guide can be kept as accurate and useful as possible.

From my experience with pokerstars.com it seems that there is something to it. You ever try to transfer funds there?
I hope Eve doesn't get sued for someone losing a bunch claiming it was to easy or whatever the laws are about.

For those of you looking for more traditional poker tournaments, we've been running 10-person tournaments with more standard payouts, ie 50%/30%/20% of the prize pool for 1st/2nd/3rd. We've had these going most nights at the 105M, 54M and 28M level. Had errors trying to login yesterday. Today, I can't login either. When I try to reset password, it tells me that there are no users by that name. I was playing 3 days ago, so had an account. Any ideas what happened here?

We're in the middle of an upgrade so there are some woes and some big changes.
All logins and registrations now go through http://www.eohpoker.com/
You can only launch Mavens via the 'Launch Mavens' button on the website once you log in.
Ring chips are now ONLY handled by auto-deposit, which is now pulled from the EVE Online Hold'Em corporation instead of the old character.
There is an issue with accounts younger than a week where you have to actually reregister with the EXACT SAME username AND password in order to have the website resync with Mavens. We should have better methods to reset this within a few days, so I apologize for any delays.

Oh, btw.. My account is more than a few weeks old, so it won't let me re-register. I also can't seem to find anyway to open a help-desk ticket without a log-in, so this is my only means of getting help. EOH Poker channel in game was unable to help me.

Selene, any chance you'll ever reduce the rake on the bigger ring games? I've played there a few months but the last month or so i've played "regular" tables almost exclusively, and its hard to get a table going. So what ends up happening is two people playing heads up for a while hoping a bigger game gets going....and while you're waiting the rake is raping both stacks. I played against one of your bankers a few days ago and we lost over 100m just to rake in a very short period of time (would have been more if i hadn't taken all the isk on the table :) ). To compare, its only 25m for roughly the same stakes in a 525m DT, and we probably played just slightly longer than a DT lasts. Since then i've cashed out all my ring chips and just gone to DTs/tournaments because the rake is so high on the rings.
Not really whining, as i've cashed out over 10bil profit just in ring game chips, just hoping you might see a player's side of things. The big games rarely get going anymore, and i think this is partially to blame.

This has come up several times lately. We're discussing making rake on all tables a flat 5%, but dropping the max rake per hand to maybe 1.5 x BB. That way you high rollers don't get abused to hell, and you can actually play 1v1 or 3-way for a while in order to get a table to fill without needing to immediately leave due to the silly high rake.
It's a change I expect to happen soon. Right now we're busy with other parts of our upgrade, and I'd like to talk with staff more before redoing how we rake Ring. Any thoughts are appreciated =)

We're trying the new table rakes. At the moment all tables are capped at 2 x Big Blind, and rake is 5% on the smaller tables and 3% on the higher ones (Reg+). Let us know how this feels compared to before.

Well so far I think it's nice to not do 1v1 and have both go negative same time. Well, not as fast anyway
Edit: I am not quite positive on this, but prior to this change was the cap for the rake?

The legendary high stakes poker player and banker at EOH Poker Yogogoeseverywhere was involved in some high stakes 1v1 shortly after downtime with stargirl x .
The games started out at 525mill isk a game but quickly escalated to 2bill a game then 3bill and then 5bill isk 1v1 games.
Unfortunately for yogo luck was not with him , and stargirl x ended up with estimated 15bill isk.
Yogo has busted many players in the past with his high stakes games, but so far today luck has been against him ,but poker is 24/7 at EOH Poker so there is still plenty of time for a comeback
