I would like to know if OUCH is still recruiting and what are the requirements to join?
Thing is, I preferred mining over PVP, until some bastard blew up my ship. So now it's time for bloody vengeance.
However, before I get to hunt down the guy and nail a piece of his hull to my hangar's wall I need to get my PVP skills up. |

OUCH is always recruiting. We welcome noobs with bare minimum SP, and we welcome carebears with 50 million SP. We are an OPEN university. We take anyone who wants to follow our program and learn to survive in Nullsec.
Other than a willingness to follow our new student rules, we have no entry requirements. Most applications are accepted within 24 hours and the complete training cycle can be completed in as little as two weeks (may be longer if your play schedule is limited).
We are NOT Eve University -- They teach people how to play Eve.
We are NOT Agony Unleashed -- They are a PvP corp that runs occasional PvP classes.

Either way that's fine with me. I think I should get down the very basics of surviving in 0.0 space first. And who's to say that the things I learn won't help me in a PVP fight?
Of course if OUCH doesn't teach me what I want I can always find a PVP specialized uni.
However, I'll be happy to sign up for OUCH's training course.
After all basic survival first, fancy flying tricks later. |

You know the saying: Don't fly anything you can't afford to lose. I would say, in null, it's a better idea not to fly anything you can't afford to replace a half dozen times.
A lot of people spend a lot of time building up a war chest so they can afford all of the shiny ships that they know they are going to lose when they start venturing into low sec and null.
OUCH students fly T1 frigates while they learn the ropes. As the Brit's say, they're cheap as chips.
You don't have to be rich to learn how to survive in null and get a little pvp fun in.

This coming weekend is our monthly Frigate Free For All. It's held in hi sec and all students are welcome.

Scout on scan , main gang still a jump behind
anticipation rising ................

BUBBLE SUES OUCH FOR "PREDATORY" BUSINESS PRACTICES

A high ranking Hemin county court clerk leaked a report claiming that the Curse Coalition of Mobile Warp Disruptors has filed suit against Open University of Celestial Hardship. Reportedly, the suit charges OUCH with predatory business practices and infringment upon free enterprise. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the clerk said the suit claimed OUCH has embarked upon a "heinous campaign" carefully designed to drive the coalition out of business and put their remaining members out on the street. The coalition is reportedly demanding that OUCH cease and desist all further "bubble avoidance" training courses, and is also demanding an undisclosed settlement sum.
Glob Yule, Public Relations Officer for the Coalition responded by saying, "The Open University of Celestial Hardship has embarked on an ongoing and escalating campaign specifically designed to drive our members out of business. If their predatory business practices are not brought to an immediate stop, we risk the complete dissolution of the bubble industry in Curse. If left unchecked, there will soon be not a single pilot left in Curse who hasn't learned how to avoid the bubble. The few remaining members of our coalition will be unemployed and bereft of means. Surely, the populace of Curse will stand behind us."
Directors of OUCH were not immediately available for comment. Reportedly, they were camping their own bubble and happily dispatching the remaining untrained pilots in Curse.

OUCH trained pilots are survivalists. There's no record of missed tackles, avoided gate camps, or failed probe downs. There's no board registering the narrow escapes. There is only the satisfaction of not ending up as a statistic on someone else's kill board.
We will teach you what we know about survival so that when you leave OUCH to join a serious pvp corp, you're able to get to get to where the fleet needs you in one piece.

Taught a class last night. I was a little off my game: took every bit of three hours to explain fleet ops, scouting, target assessment and why small gang PvP is the Eve that CCP should be selling, instead of large scale SOV warfare.
Usually takes only two and a half, but there were a few questions.

This Corp of trainers deserves a big bump!!
Was with this Corp for a little over a month and must say that after completing the required modules you no longer need to be afraid of null!
I was a carebear for the first part of life, Since ouch's training regiment I can traverse null without any problems whatsover. The Corp is laid back (as long as you stick to a few rules which are there to ensure your survival), and the guys are simply great company.
You can learn alot from them! Give Ouch a go!
