it's him. just you wait. (he's the only one connected to the old series too - and R & D are not above playing "meta-games" with both series...)

Ooh - why didn't I think of that? I've been holding to the idea that Leoban was telling the truth when he told the President "Adama is a cylon" right back in the first season, but it never occurred to me to connect to an Adama from the original series. I think I'd actually be quite happy to see that Zarek as the final Cylon now Trinity Nova Mercenary Services Web Site - Nominated for the 2008 E-ON Magazine Awards |

No, no...see, what you want is for it to end, so you can buy the DVD set, and watch it from the beginning and see how everything ties in!
Yup!
And that comment above me about Zarech is very intriguing...
I'll be frustrated as well as overjoyed when I find out who it is, because I simply can't decide.

I have a feeling that by the end of the series it will transpire that the BSG and convoy will reach earth and it will be uninhabited, and settle there, with renegade cylons, 6's and boomer's and it will turn out that it is the foundation of modern humanity on earth, with the followers of the old gods settling in italy and the followers of the one god settling in the fertile crescent (palistine)
Maybe that is far fetched but the ancient romans and greeks worshiped many gods, and the birth place of judaism which is the oldest of the religions from the 4 holy books started out in palestine.

ok i watched the first 4 episodes. TBH reckon that writer strike they had back along affected this season...
I actually found myself browsing eve-o forums during some parts of this season.
After reading whats to come on tv.com well i cant say im looking forward to it.. at all.
Another truce with the cylons... christ sake i wanted to see them hunt them down until we found earth, find out earth has some **** off big guns and watch a massive war and live happily ever after; cue unanwsered questioned ending for a possible film; then wait for the video game to be realeased LOL.
I do want to be surprised ofc, but tbh im bored already. Ugh... Prolly would have given it more slack if it wernt so long since i watch the previous seris, left us all on such a high aswell!

As I and others have said elsewhere, only Ellen is a possibility, based on what Moore has said, though he only specified 2 or the 3 Adamas.

i dont think it will be any character that is currently portrayed in the BSG version of "the last supper" that is currently on display on the bsg website. it is interesting to "read" the photograph though - in the context of the original painting. for thos that havent, y'all should read the art history interpretation about daVinci's "Last Supper": its very interesting...
i also dont think it will be another "main" character; they already shot their wad with at least 2 (tyrell and colonel tigh) main characters turning out to be cylons.
starbuck is a red herring. shes not a cylon. her "arc" is there to fool you into suspecting she is. her "arc" is about knowing who you are in the face of total doubt and "believing in yourself".
i have a suspicioun that the final cylon will one who was present >on the planet< where they found out about the nebula. lucy lawless sees who the final cylon is on that planet and is immediately like "oh its you!", which to me suggests it was one of those present (on the planet). she hadnt met many (if any at all) other "humans" before that story-arc.
that leaves zareck (richard hatch). (who was present on the planet, who was also a freedom-fighter fighting for equal rights everywhere, who was an adama, who tells lee he hopes he will do the right thing "when truth is staring you in the face")

We're all forgetting someone important.
Anastasia Dualla
Leoben said that "Adama is a Cylon," correct? Well this obviously suggests the Admiral or Lee. BUT!
We've all forgotten that even though everyone still refers to her as "Dualla," she's married to Lee, and there's been noting in the series to indicate that they're divorced, only separated. Which makes her legal last name - that's right - Adama.

I think the cylon she saw there was actually Anders, hence why she asked for forgiveness (remember she was about to kill him when they were buried under the ruins of the bomb on Caprica). It would make sense she'd think "oh****" when she realised one of the final five she'd been searching so hard for was someone she almost killed.

Except he said it long before they were married or even in a relationship. You could argue he was predicting things to come but it doesn't really seem right. |

Except Leoben has made accurate prophecies in the past, and seems to know a whole lot of things that he shouldn't. For example, he knew of Starbuck's "special destiny" and knew that Starbuck would tell him that she loves him (which he did).
Could it be coincidence? Maybe. But I think not. ---------------- Tarminic - 35 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

Or atleast somekind of developement(finding earth and getting allies or a warfare type of build up).
I mean BSG is starting to turn into a scifi reality tv show where you have alot of anti social people beating the frack out of eachother and ultimately do not progress. |

BSG is turning into a soap opera in space. The Cylon insurrection was interesting. I liked that part. This stuff with Baltar needs to stop though. I find that character extremely boring now. The crazy Cylon lady thats in his mind is fine but this religious crap needs to go. |

battlestar always has been a soap opera in space. both in the late 70's and now
its a character drama first and foremost. that being said, you like it or you dont. what you are witnessing now is something most shows wont ever attempt, the finalization of a plot line.
we could have more pew pew (and i'm all for it) and they could continue to try and escalate the stakes and keep the show running forever and ever and ever.... and like most shows that do that, after season 6 everyone would say 'they should have quit while they were ahead'.
i find this 4th season to be pretty intriguing. we are seeing the characters morph into what will eventually climax into a great grand finale. its a tragedy, so this is the downward spiral and i really dont think i've seen a show this good ever.
to each their own. personally, it doesn't get any better than this. if todays tv shows were books, i look at bsg as classic lit / Shakespearian even where the run of the mill are more like harry potter / eregon / what have you
(terrible analogy i know, but i think it sort of applies) bottom line, it breaks the mold, i like that. it does it w/ depth and consistency and in a very artistic way.

Potential SPOILER: In last episode they will attack each others near Earth, in massive blob fest, system will lag and node crash. Carebear Earthlings will petition to God about how dangerous is to fly around, then He will send giant solar storm to wipe em all. Starback and Apollo will be the only survivors, with great duty to repopulate Earth again. Last scene: Apolo is playing with their 20 kids, Starbuck is waving to them, than she looks straight in the camera, puts evil grin on her face, her eyes turns into red and history rewinds. The End

Just finished this weeks episode. I would say it was better than the last few but still nowhere near what it was. It is very obvious that the writers are trying desperately to keep us holding on.
In the middle of this episode I thought, "this is why books and movies will never come close to TV". Simply put if your reading the book or watching the movie you already paid for it. No need to hold the action back.
The good news is I can cancel my cable subscription knowing I'm not missing anything and keep a few bucks out of the pocket of my crappy cable provider (charter).
I still think BSG is the best sci-fi series produced but its over. My second favorite was farscape, they kept it going all the way to the end.

When the get to earth, and I reckon it will transpire that the convoy will be the foundation for modern humanity, I think baltar will turn out to be jesus, preaching the word of the one god, calling it now.
