Anxiously awaited turned into a let down so far. Seems like one ok episode is followed by an awful one with the 4th being the worst so far.
Whoever wrote the storyline is an idiot, the whole Balthar thing is downright ridiculouse.
Lee Adama turned into a douchebag? I¦m not sure if I should be looking forward to episode 5 BSG needs more spaceships pew pew and less soap drama!

Yeah, I'm getting the same impression, every time there's a religious or politic scene I just go "Oh, not again..."
I wouldn't mind these bits to be in the storyline, but it gets a bit uninteresting when it's the main focus point.

***Possible Spoilers Below!***
For some odd reason, I have a feeling the Cylon civil war is going to spill over in to the human fleet. With all the political shifts happening with in the fleet, certain factions are begin to grow hostile towards one another. With the Cylons fighting each other, and the Sharon and Six models wanting to reunite with the "Final Five" which they believe are in the fleet, they may end up making contact. Next weeks episode preview shows Starbucks ship meeting with a few Cylons to try and find the way back to Earth. We'll just have to see how things turn out.

Yeah, because the development of a small cult, centred on a charismatic leader preaching a gospel of a single loving God, which grows into a popular movement challenging the established polytheistic worship of Zeus, Ares, Athena etc - that could never happen in real life. Oh ... wait ...
Am still enjoying the series so far here, despite the lack of fancy battle scenes since episode 1 - I have this suspicion that they may, possibly, be developing characters and storylines first so that the action coming later has a context that makes sense. The way storytellers do when given the space to do what they're good at and not pressured by tv and movie execs who understand money and statistics but not drama and craft. I'd say that so far in season 4 the Colonial side of the story is running out of good plots, but the Cylon side of things has given the show a whole new direction imo.

With the religion theme going on in BSG, I am forced to comment that there is too much pew pew pew and not enough pew pew pew.

I suspect they are laying down the ground work for the rest of the season. With a pretty dramatic role change for the final five the writers I imagine have to reafirm that these guys are still the ones we have come to know.
On a related note, did anyone catch how Baltar got up after being struck down by the guard? I wonder if that was a hint that Baltars "imaginary" Number 6 isnt so imaginary.

Baltar's Internal Six has manipulated physical objects before, though I don't think anybody besides Baltar was present at the time. I also suspect that Shelly Godfrey was just Baltar's Six who allowed herself to be seen by others.

14.
2 for Razor, plus the 4 already shown from a season 20.
And I totally disagree. It's been awesome so far. I can't wait for the next.
Baltar's Baltar ghost/eidilon, whatever: hilarious.
Plus they even mentioned Mithras. I absolutely love the religious angle. And the civil war adds so many possibilities. The only problem with episode 4 was the lack of the Cylons.
Plus, Tory is one evil *****. Interesting...

BSG jump the tracks into Bizarro land a long time ago.
Last year I got so sick of it I stopped watching.
Now, since I don't care any more and am just watching to see what happens it's easier to enjoy it.
To a large degree what I'm seeing here are the grasping, pitiful, convulsions of a dying race. They've suffered what was a killing blow at the beginning of the series and are just gasping out their last days in confused self destruction.
The Humanoid Cylon's are all insane, which is about what you would get from trying to program humanity into machines. The problem there is that there are only 12 total models and 5 of those have been inactive up until now. With so few personalities it's to easy to slip over the line without the moderating influence of vast numbers of other personalities. Get half a dozen humans together in a clique and you're going to get some odd slants to the groups direction.
Anyway, it seems that the great strength of this show is in people wanting to see what's coming next and how it all will end - which is why it seems to have such limited appeal in re-runs. Once everyone knows what's happened - there's no interest in watching it again.
*shrug*
Like I said, I've long since ceased to care about the show but I'll watch it just to see how all of this finally ends up.
Which is more than I could say for Voyager. Once the half Klingon engineer whose name I'm not going to try to spell without looking it up got pregnant I just couldn't stand to watch a bunch of excruciatingly baby centric episodes so I just stopped. Tuned in for the finale but was busy playing a game while it was on so didn't catch much of that. Yeah, yeah, desperate measures, yeah, yeah super worm hole, yeah OK they're back - the end - thank goodness. 7 of 9 was the only reason I watched that show as long as I did.

I didnt like how chief's wife died, Stupid way to go really. They are starting to show that some of the people on the bsg are idiots. I am also starting to get the feeling that they have few good episodes left wth earth and all that, and are jsut filling up the gaps with random crap.
Killing off teh good cylons, kililing of chief's wife, and letting balther live to be a messiah, Since when to random chicks at a young age jsut get up and decide to make a religion of ther own? and hot the heck did that baby get betteR? |

I've been wondering about her for a long time, actually.
More and more now I'm beginning to think that there is a third power involving itself in things aside from the Humans and the Cylons, possibly the "Original Programmers" or the "God" that the Cylons worship.
If the Six in Baltar's head is just a delusion, why is she right so much? If you look back through the series she has consistently saved his ass, from creating a functional Cylon detector to guiding his actions to form the cult. It's far too much to be a simple coincidence, in my opinion.
And then you throw in the fact that the same type of apparition has appeared to Caprica 6 in the form of Baltar, and even to Baltar himself at one point. Waaaaay too much to be a coincidence. |

My dad *****ed a joke about that very same thing.
I wonder what Athena would do if she learned atleast 3 of the final five are people she knows/close to.
I wonder if the final five are so diffrent from the other cylons as well, if you recall, Boomer and the Chief were an item for a decent amount of time yet Boomer didnt seem to notice even after realizing she was a cylon. Considering the cylons have some sort of ability of picking out individuals in a group (IE Athena reconized Boomer just by looking at her) it would seem odd that they wouldnt reconize the final 5 even if the final 5 didnt know themselves.
Maybe the final five are infact humans that were just slightly altered by the cylons and so their level of technology isnt nearly as high? Heck in the mini serise they were hanging around in that storm around the station and none of them started to break down even (though that may simply be a loop hole in the story).

What really interests me about these two "imaginary" characters is how they differ in their perspective, for example with regards to the colonies, one saw it as part of a divine plan, the other states it was nothing but murder (or words to that effect).
