Did ANYONE notice the Empyrean Age teaser that was used as an EVE Online commercial during the second to the last commercial break on BSG last night????
http://www.eveonline.com/empyreanage/index.html (Teaser 1)
I was laying in bed sick with a fever watching BSG and I saw this EVE online commercial on TV (SciFi HD) and it gave me goose bumps. I had to pinch myself to make sure I was awake or not delerious. At first it didn't even compute, I thought it was a new game, like a BSG game, then I was like HOLY **** that's an EVE commercial on TV (US)!!
FFS it's about time CCP!

They are Human Cylon hybrids though, a point made quite clearly by Baltar when it used Heras stem cells to temporarly cure Roslins cancer. What Saul and Caperica have going though is a 100% cylon offsping on their hands if it is indeed Saul's (my dad made the interesting point that it could be possible more then one person was visiting Caperica). -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

It could actually be Baltars as he was sleeping with her back on the base star before being captured although I'm really not sure exactly how much time has passed since then.

True, though I would say atleast 3-4 months in the BSG universe have passed from the end of Baltars threesomes with Caperica and Diana to now so wouldnt there be atleast some physical indications in Caperica of her pregnancy around now atleast?
Damn, I wonder if the child in Athena, Roslins, and Caperica's dream is even Hera now. They never show the childs face right? -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

Found this while browsing the Youtubes. I present you with .... the 1 minute per season funny BSG recap video! "Bad Boomer!"
Also entertaining, a movie in 9/11 conspiracy style dealing with the fact that the Cylons never actually nuked New Caprica, but that something else was used instead. Yes, you heard it right, the nukes are a lie!
(No, both of these are not rickrolls, I swear)
More on topic, I just got up to speed on the latest episodes, and watching them all reaffirmed my belief that this is probably one of the best sci-fi series out there. Seriously, the wild plot and excellent character development are stunning imho. That last episode was pretty damned good.
Bets on who the final Cylon is: Either Romo Lampkin, Tom Zarek or Gaeta, with Gaeta being the least favorite of the choices...

She also has guards and security cameras on her 24/7 except when Saul is visiting. There's no way that anyone else could have been responsible, I don't think.
Plus, this alone suggests that the final five are fundamentally different from the other 7 human cylon models, as they can't have children. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

I don't know mhow accurate this is, or even if it's well known and I am behind the times, but according to the IMDB there is at least one more episode in June, thats 10 episodes from this last season, then at least 9 or the last 10 are due for broadcast in 2009

I've been betting on Tom Zarek since the season started because:
- hypotheticaly thinking: he already knows he's the 5th, thus resulting in his previous crimes of terrorism (as well as would also give credence to his constant political character manipulations) - he's not in the "last supper" BSG image that was released, where the directors said that everyone in the picture who is not a cylon is not the 5th - it's a nod to the old series - This is going to sound dumb and is not really worthy of a bullet point, but being bored at work and reading here and there, I just realized, if you count the letters in his name, "tom zarek" has the same number as "the fifth."

There's the obvious places where you can find information necessary to share data between many peers, if you will. I usually get the HD versions of the episodes about an hour after they're aired online, which is more than fast enough for me
Edit: This episode might be one of the better ones yet I think. I'll refrain from further comments until everyone has had a chance to see it though :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, I don't think CCP regards posting links to such material or software as a favorable action, so I'll refrain from posting direct links. If someone else feels the need to invoke the wrath of the forum mods, they're free to go right ahead.

I've never seen an episode of BSG, more-over i've never seen a single second of an episode of BSG, however, as with all sci-fi based series they all follow a set formula. Name any sci-fi series and its always the same .. stick with me here ...
Initially, they are ALL cgi heavy, this is to draw you into the series. Slowly they get more 'soapy' as this is far cheaper to make than cgi heavy episodes. ALL series will get a set fiscal amount per series. The writers/ producers/ directors have to make that money last. So they have to save money by making some episodes far cheaper to save money for the more expensive episodes IE: spaceships pew pew ones. Therefore they have to get 'soapy' to a) lay a future plotline b) expand character development c) save money. Therefore far more episodes take place on a planet / caves / ship corridors etc as these are incredibly cheap in comparison. I dont know the financial details of BSG but I do know that by series 3 of Star Trek Next Generation, each episode was only given 1 million dollers per episode. A CGI heavy episode would cost in excess 2 million so they had to save that money from somewhere. Therefore ST got more 'soapy' to save money. Purely financial. This will be true for BSG as well. If you want more BSG you have to balance the fact that to get 3/4 spaceship pewy pewy ones you need to put up with 20 'soapy' ones. Otherwise they would never raise the money to continue making BSG at all.

I recall reading that towards the end when SG-1 was still playing the average episode code about 2 million to produce. I think that was after they blew up the piramad (sp) (I recall someone actually saying they were over budget with that episode and worried that would cause the show to be canned). -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

Btw baltar is the cylon, dianna said the final cylon wasnt in the fleet, so that means either the pesident or baltar...
And dianna already said the president isnt a cylon.

If baltar was the 5th 3 would have said so out right. She is/was on a holy quest to bring all her people under one roof.
This means 2 possibilites.
1. The child growing in Caperica is the 12th model as he/she would be the first pure cylon offspring. However this is unlikely as 3 has seen all 5 faces.
2. The final cylon is alive on earth somewhere which means the planet isnt entirely dead. This is the more likely option and makes the most sence as the final 5 have been or were orginally from earth. This also explains the unique viper and the signal the other four were getting. However given that signals take time to travel in space the question is how long ago was the signal sent from earth. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:
