I'm a main. I'm a pvper first. Miner second. I also do (POS) logistics for EDF and a whole load of other stuff. However, I certainly spend more time in combat ships than I do in mining ships and haulers, at least I try to.
In fact I think I'm the only member of EDF whose occupation is classified as "All-round".

Indeed your contributions to IAC's pvp prowess have been numerous and Gavriel has no right to call you a miner.
Killboard stats for Alaxen in IAC: kill count 12, loss count 11, two of which haulers full of ore. Nice :)

One thing is for sure, -A- are doing the likes of Rupert Murdoch proud. If Eve continues as is there will be only a few chosen alliances holding 0.0 space. It will only be a matter of time before the -A- call goes out that TCF and CVA are "not worthy" of holding space with continued pressure on any of their allies to drop standings to neut or red them. Then we are likely to see a nap between 2 of the three super powers with the odd man out the next victim. Congratulations -A-! You are the Eve equivalent of Wal-mart.

Avi and Thundirr have said it quite well already, so no point for me to repeat anything about that :)
As for the battles, well we failed to bring enough opposition in zxic when the 200+ (nice) -A- fleet came for it, decided to not let 50 people die by going up against the wall of ships so our fleet remained safe, saddened by the oncoming loss and annoyed by the lack of response.
F4R went pretty much the same, POS gunners tried to do their best, but without a decent fleet it's hard to defend a cyno jammer (Titan would have helped, but the pilot would have been drunk anyways and we'd have lost it in a manner befitting IAC). Due to the slight exodus we were experiencing there was a hole in the POS coverage, making it far too easy for -A- (DKoD even,) to put up a staging pos and have their caps safe and sound in F4R. I spent most of the weekend repping pos mods and seeing them incapped by a 45 man cap fleet hours before the towers would come out of reinforced. There were some skirmishes, but nothing worth mentioning. There were a lot of stupid IAC losses by people who seemed utterly oblivious to any intel or reds in local. Nothing new there too eh :D.
JZV remains, I'll die fighting there and luckily I'm not alone :). This all was bound to happen, I too was hoping for good fights, sadly we just don't have the man power left to go toe to toe with -A- atm, so we'll see if we can get you into a new sleipnir Svetlanna :)
I look forward to some nice little skirmishes over the next days/weeks(?) and after that time will tell :) My entire pvp career has been in IAC, the same looseness and ragtag drunkenness of it all.. I just can't imagine pvp without it, so we'll see what happens. At least we're not dead yet :P

Eh. What? Did you not get the memo?
"AAA killing IAC. I am 100% guilty in that. I said that before many times on TS. That's was me who insulted them in Russian forum so they came after us. I said them thruth and they became mad. This is not Eaiaden fault or someone else. 100% my mine. Since some of you have trouble with understandnig my emo-english-speach I just wrote this down here. Why I did that? I did that because I love IAC. And can't see it's became an alliance which is killling any participation in it. All who have will and plan to improve our alliance is getting burned and getting burned really fast. Just remember all our previous leaders. Where they all? Where is FC? You know the story better than me." - Hachou

The best part of this is that the Goons have turned their back on you, and it is -A- wiping you out. For some reason it makes me very happy indeed.
On the other hand I'm sad to see IAC go, but it appears your allies were not as helpful as you'd have liked.

We even ratted in mb belts and many ratters who left IAC in rush were very disappointed of this fact .

Hey, if thats what you want to believe then more power to you. Actions speak louder than words and I have yet to see -A- bring it to any of the alliances most would consider "authorities". So, I think I "gasp" the meaning quite wll and it is you falling a little short of fully getting a "gasp" of your alliance name. On another note, I think it is wonderful that your alliance lets it greeters post on coad.

I think I've gone through a whole box of microwave popcorn so far, this thread. I remember ISS caving just up the road from IAC. It was truly frustrating to listen to an alliance smack you that was incapable of doing anything to you alone. The only light at the end of that tunnel was the thought that eventually everything you do comes back to you.
Say hi to Karma for me, IAC. If it's definition is any reflection of it's intention, you might want to put on some pads or something.

o7 to AAA. Never once did I lose respect in how skilled your fleets are. (Even if you got some really dumb cap pilots! :p )
I've fought AAA since before joining IAC, back in Querious in Brotherhood of Steel (lol). It was fun stuff, and I'll forever remember names like Blaster Worm, DHB FooFighter, and roxa.
I'm sure this isn't the last we'll see if them, of course. I have every intention of baiting one of their generous blob nanofleets sometime soon. :]

-A- has always been the enemy Lost my first BS to a mixed IAC/-A-/KOS camp in F4 while I was in CODE RED. Then the nano-gangs in Querious against BoS. Then -A- turning against IAC.

Try this again. I totally "gasp" the name of your alliance. I don't think you live up to it. Haven't seen -A- partake of battle festivities with any of those alliances the eve community would consider authorities. When you actually war against bob and/or goons then you may have something. Btw I think Svetlanna is a wonderful name for a greeter. Is it Indonesian?

IIRC, IAC dominated ISS until ISS called in every merc alliance/corp is could get its hands on, including MC. IAC could have wiped out ISS with their eyes closed if it wasn't for all the mercs.
But anyway, that's the past! :D I just got back in game and ready to do what I can to get some good pewpew!~

Originally by: sartorii This is a complete mis-perception. 'panic' as such was caused by Executive management attempting to micromanage the member corps. I cant speak for all the corps that left, but more than one said 'F-this' the week before the standings reset due to internal 'restructuring'
I agree that some corps were upset and considering leaving before the reset, but AFAIK many of the stricter requirements were being debated still and technically no one had left before the day of the Goon standings reset. I also was shocked when, during the invasion, the ongoing removal of innactive corps was not halted temporarily. It didn't matter in the end but that could have ended up being a key mistake. In short, I'm not defending the execs, but I do have a different take on the starting point of the failure cascade.
Our "fleet admiral" and the man who replaced him the previous week BOTH left with a particular corp the SAME day of the Goon reset. Vexara posted their farewell mail in alliance mail on their behalf with a little note saying "oh yeah and Genco is out too." Everyone, including corps that had no problem with the new rules, freaked out a bit at this point.
The new rules scared corps who wanted a casual environment. The standings reset and the rumors about a huge AAA + Goon + more fleet coming to kill us in a few days was what concinved the active pvp corps it was hopeless, and they are the ones you actually need when 200 BS show up to offline your cynojammers.

If you are posting because you think I'm unfairly mentioning your corp you should know I actually shared and understand Order + Promu's feelings about IAC. We had plenty of rants about the things we put up with in IAC that other alliances didn't have to deal with. I still respect e'm as players regardless of their pullout.
Would have been much better if we all stayed for the opening night's fleet battles and lost some BS in style though. Promu IIRC didn't have any BS left of course, but you know what I mean :P |
