There is a lot of history between ISS and IAC, and actually a lot of it was very friendly.
We were basically nublets together, out on our first 0.0 adventure, and we were there when you first deployed G-7 (indeed I docked the very day it was deployed), it was only after a year or so things turned south. That was mainly the fault of ISS, we didn't manage the relationship with you very well.
ISS was in many ways a great project to be a part of, but you'd be correct in saying the majority of ISS could not shoot spaceships to save their lives. But the projects the alliance ran (first ever in-game IPO, first ever public outpost, etc) made it very interesting to be a part of. I enjoyed it, and ultimately enjoying the time I spend playing eve is why I log on.
edit: I also want to add that the IAC of today is just IAC in name, all the pilots and corps I remember from the early days have moved on... its definately time for it to die

The Kensington Report refers to the ISS as the inventors of fail in the popular MMOG Eve Online. Researchers consider that though Butter Dog and some of his companions have decided to avoid dealing with the failure and dwell on bitterness, that is not always the case.
Investigations indicate that many of them resorted to: emo,alleged ISS former member, and even ending up in here because of the anti-social behaviour which made Butter Dog famous.
Sources are un-sure about the background of Mr. Dog, though one of them declared under the protection of anonymity: "I've known Butter all my life, and I swear to God, never have I seen such animalic desire, and keenness for self-inlficted pain". Delirium tremens, amirite?

We of the U'K have fought IAC from the early days of Providence and since moving to Curse have done everything in our power to make life difficult for IAC .
We played no part in their demise and the alliance crumbling apart , but it has come to our attention from within that IAC's current move to Curse is to dislodge us from our current bases .
Sunday we caught IAC anchoring a med ts pos in YKE . We quickly put it into reinforced , killing a number of their support .
Yesterday morning we finished the pos off with a small rr bship fleet . My figures are not completely accurate , but IAC lost in the region of 12 ships to our 3 .
IAC !!! , you tried to remove us when you were a fully functional alliance outnumbering us 4,5-1 , how do you expect to achieve this now ?.

Having a great time watching IAC flip flop and flounder here, but I sense a misused chess analogy in this thread. As a fan of chess, I have to say I've never felt threatened by another player nor seen a game lost due to intimidation.

hydra had NC support and was fighting an alliance a third their size
iac had zero support and was fighting an alliance not only much larger but also much stronger pound for pound
