VERY nice stats.. If you're able to fly a Hulk you're very close to flying one..
Any decent Hulk pilot will have MF5 anyways...
Though : No compression :(

Giving it compression would have made the Rorqual completely useless.
As is, it's a mega hauler with bonuses for mining ops, and also fills the gap between industrial and full blown freighter. Plus it's cheap enough that people might actually use it, unlike the Rorq that sits in pos bubbles.

Mining ops will be so much nicer with one of these. Any time you cut down the numer of hauler runs you need to do its a very good thing.

Nice thing about it is the fact it doesn't have to be in deployed mode to give the boosts...

This will be AWESOME for looting / salvaging missions / belts. Though a 4th / 5th high slot would have been very nice in that regard.

Looting yes, but salvaging? with only 3 highs its ability to salvage will be limited... |

I agree. Looting, yes. Salvaging, no.
But, on the plus side, i'll be able to double to amount of mining command links I can run. Woot!
Although, I was hoping for more cargo capacity. As it is now, my 2 dedicated miners will fill 90k m3 worth of space rather quickly. And with no compression, he'll be running back to base, although doing it less often now. |

well, if you get salvaging up to 5, and maybe a couple of salvaging rigs, then you could run a dual tractor, single salvager - which should be able to keep up with the tractoring. |

No kidding... that's a mission runner's dream. Not only can it loot/salvage the killing field, but it provides gang bonuses.

Sounds like just the BPO. Just like the Rorq I believe. It will have to be built and then you will be at the mercy of the price gougers. |

Only if you want it in the first week, with the bpo being in empire the market should stabilize fast.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. But hopefully, the turn-around time for BPC's will be pretty quick. Although i'll hate to see what the Blueprint scammers are going to start charging for the first few simply because it's new and they know that miners want one.

Well, i'm hoping that some will want to make money off of the BPO right away, so they won't take the time to get ME/PE up right away and will just start cranking out copies.

The mining foreman links and the tractor beam are pretty much a given. I threw on the ECM just to tick off the rats more than anything, but I was stumped as for a third medium slot item. The cargo expanders and optimization rigs are simply because i'm a cargo space junkie.
Thoughts?
(Yes, I know, the setup is not finalized, but it's all about speculation and "what ifs" at this point anyway, so why not) |
