Your uber patch messed up all form of pvp except for blobbing.
Seeing a 20 man bs fleet get owned bij a simliar number of frigs is plain wrong. Missles don't hit frigs,arties, AC, lasers and blaster lag the tracking to kill em, neuting them is easily countered by slapping some NOS on your ship.
This patch is just one carebear patch, making it easier for absolute noobs to play the game. Medals, great improvement, FFS what added value do they give to the game? Certificates, likewise Cycle timer, one of the most annoying things in the game New jump gates, w00t, we were waiting for that
I dunno who or what got in your mind to nerf the game like this but IMHO you should be fired instantly.
"The new patch will bring more tactics to the game"....; right, lets all get in frigs, the more we have the better it is.
14 more days till my accounts run out... you can be certain that i won't be renewing them... and for those stupid carebears and mission *****s.. nope can't have my stuff
CCP grow some balls and have the decency to admit this patch is not what it should be, unnerf your goddamm stupid n00bchanges and let Eve become the MMORPG that differentiates from games like WoW
oh and try to answer some of the remarks given in this thread before. seems to me you only answer the questions you like

I fully agree. I had to ask a fellow corpmate to come help me with his Raven to finish Worlds Collide. I could not kill with my t2 drones the Elite webbing frigs. Gallente BS's are a waste now and all the training I did for them. If there are 2 elite frigs in your lvl 4 mission, you are doomed in a Mega or hype. Now I will have to spend over 80 mil to retrofit my hype to long range rather than a Blaster platform as the ship's description claims.
The Drones nerf is a joke. Drones are useless and gallente's relying on drones for smaller ships can kiss their BS goodbye due to web/jam.
I guess this is so that we all give up missioning which was causing some of the lagg around isinokka and ibura, and we all get a nice orca and sit there mindlessly mining. HOW BORING WILL EVE BECOME!!!?

patched fine, logged in fine, no problems with game-play whatsoever. no lag (not worse than before).
i really like the cycle timers, i think they're very subtle (just right really), don't understand people who complain of them being very distracting (but i agree an option to turn them on/off wouldn't hurt).
i also solo lvl4s, and haven't tried one yet since the patch, so reserve judgement on that. but if it's a bit harder, well, more challenge - more fun. if it's nearly undoable, then... we'll see.
all in all, things look good so far, remarkably little problems actually, following such a significant patch.

Not much testing yet, but what I can say about using missiles in missions (torps only though):
- with golem the torp dps is fine now, on par with other races close combat weapons - flight speed with afterburner golem is a bit... meh, now. Could be higher really - nerfing range of torpedoes is baaddd.. I now have about 4km less on standard torps than before - drones are fine. Light drones rip through frigs as usual, same for meds and cruisers. - torpedo dps on cruisers is obviously quite a bit lower (still easily doable with golem torps) , but it's just fine that bringing a mate now is more lucrative than doing it solo. Marauders made lonely before QR...
Apart from missiles:
- module timer should be configurable. It IS distracting that all my active mods have the timer, as I don't care about timers of e.g. active hardeners, damage control, etc - module timer isn't working correctly. Needs fixing
- certificates needs more options like being able to show for corpmembers only, show for personnel manager/directors only etc

I agree. Seems like not only the PvP is f***ed up but PvE too. Medium and Heavy drones are now the same as they both have the same signature resolution. If you want medium drones to have a signature resolution of 125 then you have to increase it for heavy drones or decrease it for medium they can't have the same because it's unlogical. As for missiles i would suggest keeping them as they were before. There's also one medium slot less (on allmost all ships) because now i (and other players) have to have an AB in it because of slow ships speeds if i / they want to come close to NPC mission-battleships and take them out or to the acceleration gates / mission objective that is 100km away.

Standard Refinery Foreman has prerequisites including Refinery Efficiency (Level 1), Metallurgy (Level 2) and Scrapmetal Processing. However to be able to train for the Scrapmetal processing skill you already need both Metallurgy and Refinery Efficiency at Level 5.
This means that the requirements stated on the Certificate Planner of Refinery Efficiency (Level 1) and Metallurgy (Level 2) are superfluous.
Similarly Improved Refinery Foreman has Refinery Efficiency and Metallurgy requirements of Level 4 and Scrapmetal Processing Level 4, but Refinery Efficiency and Metallurgy will already be at level 5 due to scrapmetal processing.

The thing which is bothering me most about this patch is that following the HUGE changes to PVP mechanics, many (if not all) of my ships need new setups. That in itself is not a major problem - The real problem for me is RIGS.
For example - Some ships which I previously had fit with MWD's are now only viable with an afterburner... Fine, I'll switch that.... But wait, I have a CCC rig fitted because my previous setup was cap hungry with the MWD - But now with the AB, that CCC rig is a complete waste and adds nothing to my setup. My only option is to destroy the rig and buy something else.
Given that I have 20 or 30 rigged PVP ships in my hangars across EVE, this is going to turn into a very VERY expensive exercise - And seeing as these changes have been forced upon us by the new patch, I personally think CCP need to give us the option to remove rigs without destroying them, even if only on a temporary basis. |

Good job CCP.
The only negatives i found were
1) a lag/latency increase which felt much yesterday but today things seemed to be better. 2) Certificates is more likely to confuse the new players since they suggest absurd skill combinations. I think the certificates need to be looked into more carefuly. 3) GTCs boosted. I don't like GTC becaue i believe they legalise macro farmers in a sence. 4) Some minor bugs with the weapon grouping
Apart that i am very happy with the changes All in all best patch ever! |

When I say a temporary basis, I mean that following this patch we should be allowed to remove rigs from our existing ships as a one-off (maybe via petition). I'm not suggesting that Rigs should be changed to become removable, merely that our existing rigs should be removed in the same way that people have had implant sets removed. |

I further confirm this. Light drones exist to devour frigates and drone bays exist in battleships so that BS pilots have the option of including a defense against frigates in their build. You want that drone bay to be versitale: you can either use your drones for target painting so you can focus your mids on your tank, add ECM to your PvP fleet when you're short on EWAR pilots, enhance your DPS with heavy attack drones, give yourself a defense against smaller ships that would be hard to hit using your BS class weapons, or more. But that defense against smaller ships HAS to be present in this list. Battleships do not have enough intrinsic value right now to be useful if they must be babied by anti-frigate ships. I get better DPS in a T2 fit Drake using T1 ammo then I do in a cruise missile fit Raven with a comperable tank.
What role to light scout drones now play in this game if they are not effective against frigates? Why are you changing game content instead of adding new content? These changes are not nessairly for the better and people have commited ISK and real-life money (in skill training time) to your former balance. Try to be gentle when screwing up people who have paid you their money.

Apologies if this has alreadt been posted, I haven't read through 6 pages. It would be great if people only posted issues not general whines!
Anyway there seem to be some issues with the certificates - some don't show up in the list on the left of the planner, but you can still see them by clicking on the links from other certs on thr right.
Also in leadership, the fleet coordinator cert needs 4 improved certs to get but is only standard -surely it should be at least improved, probably even elite?
Nice work with the patch ccp. I might not like everything in it but I love a lot of it!

To be blunt about this patch...... the game wasn't broken don't fix it
The pilots who flew "ludicrous speed" ships trained long and hard to get where they did and spent a lot of money getting there too, and tbh ludicrous speed only gave you survivability at getting away from gatecamps and was useless in pvp versus heavy neuts and a rapier on your side
CCP: go back to the old pvp mechanics but keep the new content and just add web bubbles as an option for dictors and the whole thing would be sorted instead of EVERYONE having to learn the game all over again WTF !!! and costing a lot of isk to all refitting their ships and doing away with now useless rigs.
Theres a lot of your existing customer base about to leave the game, people who have spent years training up missiles skills navigation etc just to have it all thrown back in their faces.

The game changes are an improvement. I like most the overall more of basic agility, the game feels not slower but faster.
That you have to use a wider range of weapons to come through missions its ok. Even if the "hammerhead-IIs and done"-way before was comfortable, it made some things almost too simple and plain. Also that not each mwd eats a quarter of the cap anymore before you did anything with it makes some more tactics possible.
The module timer is great, but could be visually a little more in the background. Maybe the light green glow that goes round the button instead of pulsing?
I encountered two traffic advisories in low-populated areas yesterday and the jumping took some time. Never had this before QR.
Overall: Nice extension.

Problem with two different Eve icons in the Games browser folder in Vista.
I have two icons in the Games folder in Vista, but I know why it's happening. I have the regular Eve folder and a test folder for Singularity inside the CCP folder (called EVETest) and that version is the one showing up in the Games browser with the eve.exe icon. The other ("official" game) appears with the "Trinity" cover.
Official game Test folder game that appears here Login of official client, with username on it. Login of test folder that appears when I use the second Eve icon, without username.
The test version can't be erased from the folder, but it can be hidden using the right button menu. ----

Uhm....why no certs for capital ships? Seems like you didn't finish the job...like rest of patch.
This patch should have been called "Rise of the Frigates" due to the other nerfs.
Instead of nerfing the hell out of everything, why don't you give the carebears a difficulty setting and OMFGWTHBBQYERARES non-nerf setting for those that PVP?

hehe people complaining should just quit as CCP never listens to player complaints, and people looking for answer should not have a hope unless they are showing all praise for CCP their questions or complaints can't be answered, if you go and see past replies from them they usually reply only the questions they like or if some one is showering heavy praise on them. that's the way this MMO has gone to and you are not bound to stick with it.

..If u are Caldari pilot who is flying a BS...but cant go to a command ship yet.....(as in my situation) your build and setup is stuffed....(even in high sec..which is where I fly)
I say to the developers, you have gone too far...This needs redressing fast!!!

Btw. I was just starting to get into L4s. I've been forced back to L3s by the missile nerf. I've invested a good month into training missiles to get there, and now all that has been rendered void... ------------------

Had no problems installing. Certificates are interesting, and a good way for people to sort themselves starting out in the game. Cycle timers are genius, and much overdue. New stargates are quite something.
Mixed feelings about speed nerfs and missile nerfs, but if it forces people to use all kinds of different ships instead of the same small bunch of I-win combos, then I'm all for it. I'm sure people will work it all out.
People grizzling about BS's not being able to handle frigates seemed a bit weird though. So I ran a quick low end mission in my Megathron BS - had no problems dealing with a wall of Elite Frigates using small t2 drones - they ate the lot without complaints, and without any noticeable differences to before. I was going to try more serious missions except....
...for CONCORD. Tested 425mm railguns at a frigate at 50km - the guns blew it away no problems (hint, gunnery ftw missile boys), but CONCORD suddenly pronounced my use of a Targeting Computer to be a criminal offence and my Megathron got headshotted before I could blink. This had better be a bug!

All the crying thats rises up here from the Caldari BS mission runners is a thing to think about. Drones hit T2 frig no more? Cruise missiles a crap now? Come on, be serious guys. There was a major unbalance in lvl4 mission boats, namely the raven. You DONT do missions too slow now. No, you do it as fast as with any other BS now!
You even can do the missions exactly as fast as before, just fit a targetpainter and try, how much more volley damage you do even on a npc- BS! If your drones cant hit T2 frigs -> skill these drones ffs and put the painter on them. So you have to crap your tank for the painter on your BS? A single BS was NEVER mind to sit in the middle of a lvl 4 mission and tank the full damage from all npcs there. As minmatar or whatever you'd know that.
Remember, all is good, if you survive the mission. How long this mission lasts is subject to your skills, not to ccp.
I did buzz kill in a phoon and guess what? Warrior II plus targetpainter (or webber if you want) KILL T2 frigs. If not, spend another million or two in you drone, maybe.
And so the cry is not "we cant do mission anymore bwahahahahuhu", but its only " I need 45 minutes now fnr wc instead of 35 bwahahuhuhu".
Welcome to the non raven mission runners world. Adapt or die. CCP did never change anything because of whines an a few closed accounts.

With respect to awards-- no (apparent) ability to go back and edit a decoration (or delete it) before issuing the first one. No ability to deprecate a decoration so that no more can be issued.
No alliance decorations? I thought this was coming.
Absolutely need the ability to issue decorations to anyone--regardless of corporation, alliance, etc. -- with the recipient's acceptance. It's just a pointer to the template record anyway, right?
Anyway, thanks for adding some fun fluff.

I am amazed that I don't see more complaining about the lag! Ever since the patch lag has at least doubled. It appears mainly to occur only if you have your weapons grouped together, which is crazy because weapons grouping supposed to have reduced the number of database requests... I have almost lost my maelstrom a few times because of lag recently. Although I do admit, I am an avid hull tanker :)
As far as the speed and missle nerf is concerned i am a big fan. I feel that my crow is now more effective than ever. Smaller sig radius means its more difficult to get hit by guns and missles (reduced missle explosion velocity helps too). I can now perma run my mwd :) and I don't have to worry as much about some nano stabber catching up to my 4000 m/s speed.
AND if you have good missle skills, your missles are still VERY effective. Granted missles are not quite the EASY button on smaller targest with torps and cruise missles like they used to be, but if you ever tried to take out a frigate at close range with arties... you will have an appreciation for the flexibility that missles have still retained.

I'm not sure if anyone have noticed but the Caldari's main weapon - missiles and torps hae benn f***ed up completely! I have Cruise on lvl5 and every other missile related skill on lvl4 + 3 best missile hardwirings and as I was testing my CNR with a friend in a Hawk, I was doing 7 (SEVEN) dmg!!!
I simply cannot imagine e.g. Worlds collide with that.......
No wonder people are switching to mining, leaving PvE or even the Game itself...
Very dissapointing...
