OK -
In case CCP cares to keep a tally on people liking or disliking the update, I am definitely on the dislike side.
I made myself wait it out and TRY to make due, but I'm at the end of my rope. I have been playing eve for 3 years, and this is the worst (by far) update yet...IMO.
I won't get into specifics as to what I don't like (most of it would just be regurgitated from what has already been stated on this thread anyway) - but I just hope CCP reads this and acknowledges that another loyal customer is displeased...for what its worth.

No it couldnt. Unless you bought some 2 billion isk gist mods. ravens never fit a proper tank.
Correct. I was reasonably happy with L4 missions flying a pair of CNRs with faction and T2 fittings, able to shield permatank. I still lost ships, the most recent a bil ISK CNR in Worlds Collide when one of the mission ships got stuck and couldn't warp out.
For me the L4 missions were OK, not perfect, certainly not an ISK factory. If I used faction missiles in my CN cruise launchers I often had a net loss on the mission rewards and bounties. If I didn't use faction missiles it was an interminable slugfest to kill the rats.

You had to choose before moron. My point is that you CANT GANK.
And my point is that running L4 missions with a pair of CNRs with shield permatank and faction/T2 fittings was OK, but far from a slam dunk win. It was OK and I was willing to run them, mostly for the POS charters from the LP store to keep the alliance POSs running.
After QR I ran an L3 Angel Extravaganza (L3 to be on the safe side). I even went so far as to escort the Raven with a spider tank. The whole experience was awful. I immediately put my last CNR up for sale, got 850 mil for it (fitted), and I'm happy to say goodbye to missions. I no longer need to fuel POSs because CCP ninja-changed the corp faction standings calculation and without a heads up we lost all faction standings in our POS corp. So no more POSs.

We have whine and quit also.
I'm voicing my opinions in several threads and reducing my nine accounts to one or two, mostly due to the stupid and unnecessary change to unsubbed training and the lies and spin to which we were treated in connection thereto, but a variety of other unpleasantness also figures in, including the missile nerf and GTC changes.
Originally by: Jason Edwards I'm not gone because I'm paid up for awhile.
In late 2006, after an unacceptable response to a petition, I switched to paying all my accounts on a 30-day basis. I didn't want to be stuck with a long prepaid time, preferring instead to be able to hit CCP in the pocketbook within 30 days of their latest sins. I got the reimbursement for that lost ship that was denied in the petition response by taking it directly out of CCP's revenue.

Say goodbye to 3 accounts. I won't be renewing my subs.
First of all, my 7m sps in missiles is worthless now since I couldn't dream of ever pvping again in a ham drake, cruise or torp raven effectively. Especially since a BS can now speed tank cruise missiles. (Good one CCP) You guys pulled a major @#$@ you to every non carebear caldari pvper out there with these changes. Missiles were already nerfed to the point of being worthless without high skills, right fit, and right piloting. Now an AB fitted BS can run circles around a cruise raven going under 200m/s and speed tank cruises. WT*
The last 2 'expansions' have been extremely disappointing. Quantum Rise and all the changes leading up to it are completely humiliating to myself as a long-time paying subscriber. Quantum Rise in short is a joke and obviously ill-tested and prepped... reminds me of a certain BOOT.INI problem you created last time you rushed an expansion. Keep up the quality work with your half-@** beta testing, ignoring the player base, and out right lies to the general eve-population. (Ghost training selling feature - then called bug/exploit.)
CCP, you should be adding or improving the content of EVE, don't drastically change the game play so extensively and nerf roles players have spent months training and expect everyone to swallow it and spend months training to adapt to only be nerfed again.
This expansion is more of a giant nerf bat and bug fix then anything else. Sure you added a new ship and a couple 'wow' features, but this expansion falls way below previous expectations of what an expansion should be.
This, this, this, this and this.
And as a carebear I should point out that I don't feel I got anything from QR other than the Orca and the module timer indicators. They killed my ability to run missions, they made my POS corp faction standings disappear with a ninja change to corp faction standings calculations and no, I'm not inclined to start another monumental epic of training and fitting just to jump through nonsensical hoops constructed for me by mindless, nerfbat-wielding CCPers.
No more missions, no more POSs, no more research, no more manufacturing, no more POS mining, and no more 7 of my 9 accounts.

I, too, have sworn off doing any more missions, but I'm only mining until my subs run out between Dec 12 and 19. Then I'll only keep 1-2 accounts active out of 9. It's obvious that CCP doesn't want my money enough to behave as if they want it.

Originally by: stefanowich With missile nerfing rendering Caldari pretty much useless I'll find it hard to re-open my wallet on the 23rd of November when my account expires and once again renew my subscription. Maybe CCP is doing me a favour after all? There are hundreds, actually thousands, of other games out there that I can play if I manage to break the spell of EVE and be "free" again. I couldn't do that alone but I think CCP just helped me quit EVE Online for good. My fiance salutes CCP for that, "daddy" is coming home again honey. As for me, I'm still a bit grumpy but time heals all wounds and I'll soon find something else. Thanks CCP! I couldn't have done it without your help, and definately not without Quantum Rise.
I, too, can thank CCP for breaking my addiction, starting with the GTC changes, then strongly with the assinine unsubbed training change, then with missile and speed nerfs.
I, though, don't need to find another game. I will now have more time and money for audiobooks, work, and family.

Orca corp hangar requires that ships be within 1500 meters. That is too short a range for positioning ships around the Orca. The corp hangar should have the same range as the POS corp hangar -- 3000 meters.
There are also still anomalies in moving things into and out of the Orca's corp hangar, giving database-related messages we have never, ever seen before. Closing and reopening the corp hangar seems to clear it up but is annoying to have to do.

You can barely kill the frigs in a BS before the bloody expansion now you can even take them out with drones.
In so much that I lost a bloody BS to them due to being scrammed.
I suggest the following:
- Remove Frigs from lvl 4 missions - Increase the damage small scout drones do to Rat frig - Remove the scram ability from Rat frigs in lvl4 missions - Increase the Isk/lp value so it is worth the time to bring people to help in missions since the current amounts are not worth the time or reward.
Until this crap is sorted out I'm sticking to mining sod this.
Level 4 missions are now challenging instead of just farmable. Put some work into adapting your fittings and strategies, and maybe add on some more skills.

My reactions to QR so far:
1. The speed-nerfing of missiles has been way overdone and needs to be dialed back, especially since webbers have been nerfed as well. Other posters have shown the math on how ridiculous it is.
2. The increased importance of target radius would be fine except that target painters do not do enough to compensate (I have to mount two in order to get decent results). The effect of target painters should be buffed.
3. The cycle timers are a great improvement, because they both make activated modules more visible and show the timing of the modules.
I can understand the desire to nerf missiles, but at this point they are almost useless in many situations. Toning down the effects of speed on missiles, and increasing the effectiveness of target painters, will make the changes more balanced. Please, please do not get rid of the cycle timers; they are the best improvement to the UI since I started playing. ____________________________________

Ok I don't know how many times this has been mentioned before and where, but I'll just mention it here for good measure.
FIX NPC SHIP SPEEDS.
speednerf... fine. missilenerf... fine, I guess.
But PLEASE I BEG YOU fix npc ship speeds to be in line with the new player ship speeds.
That is all. __________________________________________________

Edited by: 0k00l on 02/12/2008 09:17:44 CCP ruined my hope for missile PVP after the QR. 2 subs canceled. Nerfing interceptors speed by 2 (Before 10 km/sec - after - 5km/sec) nothing to compare with 10-x for missile explosion velocity - non sense!

Missiles now = BB guns
Are you telling me that if i fire a tomohawk cruise missile - designed to blow up a bunker or large building/complex - at a cat, it will glance off giving it just a headache??? I mean come on, the shere kinetic energy of a cruise missile hitting a frig would put a hole in it... im not saying frigs should be one shot kill, but it was fine the way it was
You have ****ed up caldari for PvP and now PVE too. the crow used to be a great ship, it did what an intercepter should. anyone that takes an intercepter into battle is 99% likely to go against someone with a scram, so why put intercepters in the game at all if they are just frigs after being scrammed?
Leave the game how it was - no one was complaining

Fight in Syndicate (not renowned for being heaving with people). Less than 40 people on each side. Results in lag, even after taking the 'new anti-lag measures' under advice.

Dont know if this has been reported but i'm not going to read all these pages of notes lookig for it,...
Since QR,I am unable to move items from a Station container inside a Corp hangar (I am director and have full access to the Corp hangar and the Station Container inside it), into my hangar. It allows me but no items are moved. SOMETIMES, if I log off and back in the items are moved across but this is a pain just to have to move items... Also the same when moving from station container inside a corp hangar to my cargohold on the ship....
Any details if this has been reported, CCP?
Regards,
Jason Brisbane
