I'm pretty happy with the new expansion so far. I like the new certificate system and appreciate all the little improvements such as the improved overview tabs. Some of us do notice.
My suggestions:
1. There needs to be a method for certificates to be viewable by only corp or alliance members. 2. One of the refining certificates requires both Metallurgy 2 and Scrapmetal Processing (which requires Metallurgy 5). That seems odd. 3. There needs to be more "ship oriented" certificates. For instance, there could be a "Battleship Pilot" certificate when you reach Battleship 1 for any race.
As a side note, why did my picture stop working in the forums?

Originally by: Tiger313 I have two questions concerning certificates:
- Currently you have the option to keep them to yourself or show them off to the world. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make a third option to show to corp members? And perhaps even a fourth option to only show to corp members with recruitment access?
- Is it possible to make certificates work with recruitment ads so you can set a minimum and/or maximum prerequisite and people who don't have the proper certs don't need to apply/get auto-filtered out or flagged as not suited for the job?
I'd like to see options for corp and alliance visbility as well as the private and public options. Would be a lot more useful. I love the idea of tying them into recruitment as well, I see that as their main use.
The requirements for some certificates seem strange to me, the basic common ore refiner for example has scrap metal processing as a requirement which seems like quite a high level of skill required for something on the basic level particularly when use see this recommended on some barges. Not sure how the scrap metal processing relates to barge though I could see it being in higher levels or the certificate.
As a miner I love the module timer - personally I don't find it a distraction and never want it turned off though giving others the option might be nice.

You can also group your weapons on the fitting screen. Hold shift + drag&drop. Only empty weapons of the exact same model can be grouped.
make it so weapons can be grouped no matter the type.. the other thing is just lazy programmers. ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded |

The little white line that runs the circumference of the module buttons in space when you active it is nice.
However, when you're in the middle of an MWD cycle and you cloak, if you decloak and re-activate the module, that white line does not return to the 6 o'clock position as it should.

Graphics & general responsiveness seem less precise and sharp compared to Empyrean Age. More flickering; longer undocking times and response to changes; maybe it's just me but a lot of the lighting seems much more washed out than it did before, with textures just seeming a lot darker and less affected by lighting. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... GJ CCP not a bad fix, not as bad as i was afraid of, but:
when do we get local changes ? i thought at least a 0.0 local delay was gonna be put into this patch, so where is it and can i haz ?
where did AFs 4th bonus go, no its just not listed as standard resist bonus, but not listed as anything. pls give AFs a nice bonus to make them good, liek a AB bonus so they go around 1.5k ABing and should mitigate most larger damage types making them worthwhile.
storefronts, where are they ? can i haz ?
diemos/thorax change from MWD cap penalty maybe ? maybe to armor rep ammound or something, maybe make the previous changes you wanted to do ( - MWD bonus, +armor repair bonus, +650 cap) and leave slot layout alone, that would make it nicer again
damp ship, fix pls ? inline them at least to their previous level

Let me explain something.
Mission runners are about 70% caldari aka raven variant. I personally have used dominix the last year; gotten ishtar more recently. BUT I also have CNR for running missions against angels and drones.
Speed nerf and missile nerf was related to pvp. Carebears have absolutely nothing to so with nano***s.
So with that taken into account; missile nerf should have been 100% unchanged to missions.
I just got finished running IO. The difference is stunning. I got the mission finished... but damn... nearly got popped doing it.
Seems like you cant do that anymore. Will have to train for something else... but oh right... there's a huge unbalance in the game now. So any proposed better option will also be nerfed. ------------------------ Have you fed your slaves recently? -BRB Rens |

I only got to play around for about an hour or so last night...
but I like the new jump gates. I saw one of the new ones last night in empire.
My biggest love so far is the activation timer. who ever designed this at CCP deserves a handjob. straight up.
im surprised you guys didnt have this feature sooner, but it is a great tool when mining, to know when your next cycle will be to re-direct your miners before the roid goes POP! _____________________ *warp drive acti...wait, where are we going?*

Have run the following Level 4s since patch: Angel Extravaganza, The Assault (Guristas), The Blockade (Angel), Pirate Invasion (Sansha) and Intercept the Pirate Saboteurs (Guristas). Using CNR with 7x CN Cruise Launchers and 5 x Hammerhead II. If there is any difference in the length of time it took me to solo each of them it was barely noticable. At worst, some NPC HACs needed one more salvo.
As for using Cruise against frigates, get some drones.

Loved the cert functionality.
Whats needed to make this exceptionally useful would be the ability to design your own personal / corp certs as a lot of the standard certs are not that great in there choice of skills.
Theres room for lots more standard certs as well imo. One that blatetly missing is Jump Navigator. |

Is this a patch issue? Do premium graphics change the look inside a station compared to the normal graphics? By looks I mean the interior of the station is different in it's build compared to my computer.
Station interiors are different in Classic and Premium. Did not change in Quantum Rise, has been like that since Trinity.

Another fps nerf Every new expansion puts a heavier load on the system and it's not taking it (Intel core2duo 6600, 2Gb Ram, X-Fi Xtreme, ATI HD4870 1Gb)
Two clients in classic mode and when one has focus the other gets a fps of 3 or less... This is terrible.
And to finish it off, the bug reporting pages are NOT available at this time

Confirmed.
Trying to judge a pilot's readyness (skillpoint-wise) to be given a powerful combat ship is always a challenge and up until now I've encouraged pilots to provide me with their public API keys so I can craft their best ship fit in EFT. This is a lot of work for me and a lot of people don't like giving out even limited API keys, so in this way the certificate system is a great to quickly, easily, and effectively asses pilots' readyness to use certain combat ships or what have you. Except that I don't quite agree with the cert training reqs: Many of the more basic and intermediate certs, for example the cruiser-class missiles, require training in both Heavy Missiles and Heavy Assault Missiles to achieve. I don't want my pilots splitting halving their skillpoints by splitting between two different weapons, instead I want to guide member training along very focused very specialized paths. Certificates will let me do what I want to do if they can be customized and "show to corp/alliance only".

Could you maybe look into interceptor speed again? Right now they are pretty much useless for what they were intended to do. If I warp to a belt/plex to tackle someone, he just warps out before I am able to get to him for tackling, same if he warps to a gate at a distance. Also, I think the nerf for the snake implants is a bit too much. My LG Snake Epsilon gave me 5%, now it's not even 1%. Bear in mind that people sacrifice skill training time to carry those implants. I agree that speed might have needed a 'rebalance', but the small tackling ships rely on their speed both for tanking and for their usefulness in combat generally.
Also notice that the interceptors' signature radius bonus has been changed, but the Hyena still has the same old bonus which doesn't make that much sense now. Maybe you could also change the webifier efficiency to make Minmatar Electronic Attack Ships and Recons more useful again.

Seem to have found a bug... Sometimes when i come in to a system, things dont appear... such as my ship... stations ect... only visual tho. they all appear on the overviw still. But still really annoying, also sometimes dont get any sound from thrusters ect. that could be really serious if you get targeted as you may not hear the targeting sound.
Hope this helps.
Also so far all seems good |

1) Spelling? Leadership\*\Harvesting Comptroller. Shouldn't that be 'Controller'? Seems to carry consistently through the whole subtree and descriptions.
2) There seems to be a discrepancy in the requirements of Starter Professions\Basic\Amarr Industry - Prospector compared to the other three races' equivalent: Amarr requires Industry to be at level 4, the three other races only at level 3.
Given that we standardize on American English, I believe comptroller is a valid word, and it does sound cooler.
Any inconsistencies in the starter professions basic certs are (or should be) a product of inconsistencies in the skills you're awarded at character creation for different races. I believe in this case for example it's just down to the fact that Amarr Prospectors start with Industry 4 while everyone else starts with Industry 3.

just drawing attention to what's been said before about the certificates system: having only the ability to set certificates private or hidden isn't very secure. We don't want our enemies to find out of all our pilots what they can and can not do, right? It'd be perfect if the permissions can be expanded so you can set certain certifticates to show to corp and/or alliances mates only.
Editing: liking the rest so far. Speed nerf is painful but was probably needed. We'll find out how it affects gameplay, won't we? Next up, walking in stations?? :) --- The one whose ship names don't pass the sanity test while the rest of him is rather sane |

Well sure, it's a word valid word in English English too, but maybe not a word which means what you intended. But hey, your universe, your lore, the word can mean whatever the hell you like in EVE.

I just want to chime in in favor of the cycle timer on the modules. I'm one of the many EVE players with color vision problems, and the pulsing that used to be the only way to see that a module was "on" was often invisible against bright stellar backgrounds. The high-contrast white circle is *much* better.
The timer functionality is awesome too, but just the enhanced visibility makes this a huge win for me.
I'm still maintaining an open mind about the missile changes, but please-oh-please don't dally with the further changes being made to the stealth bomber. These changes got rid of the last thing (small ships) the SB could eat with its alpha-strike, and if the bomber isn't going to be an alpha-strike ship, it's going to be a lot less fun to fly. ------------------ Ironfleet.com |
