In the character sheet, under the currently training skilly display, it's got the date and time of completion, then it's got this on the next line: "(null) (Stores SP)"
Should that be there? |

Thanks!
No problem,
if you find any more bugs/features, please leave a message. It's always good to have stuff to do.

Err, no... or it shouldn't show up as (null) but the type of clone you have and how much SP it stores. |

Edited by: Keldeena on 08/02/2009 03:22:21 Feature requests/dreams:
1. Double-clicking on a skill in the character sheet pops up a new window that displays that skill info.
*edit 2 got cut* 2. Skill/item/ship browser.
3. (not sure if this one is possible - I guess it depends on the structure of the item/skill database(s) - not an urgent one anyway) Right-clicking on a skill in the character sheet/Skill browser presents a menu option "Show items this skill affects"
4. Another 2 right-click menu items for skills: Show pre-requisites for this skill. Show skills that this skill enables. |

They are all very possible, will take a while to get there probably though.
Around the same time skill planning is implemented. |

I definately have a clone, but it's not showing up there.
Also, a skill summary at the top of the character page would be nice. Something like:
125 known skills 48 Skills at level 5 |

Could you try to right click on your character, and select invalidate cache?
Or if that doesn't work, delete the database. It might have been corrupted by the buggy version.

Invalidating cache did nothing.
Deleting the database fixed the problem ^^
I've poked and prodded just about everything I can for this release. Looking forward to the next one.
Finally - display of skills on charachter sheet isn't aesthetically pleasing at the moment. Too much wasted/white space. I feel like some of the skill info should be right-aligned. |

0.0.9.2 is out,
This time the loading of data should work, and I mean that I can't find any problems. Honestly, it works...
Oh, well.

Never mind. .9.2 looks good! Keep up the great work!
Wonderful,
Some of your suggestions have been implemented for the next version too.

It includes a host of awesome features including:
Fixed the SP/hour problem. You can no longer add duplicate characters. Nicer Portraits (Notice the rounded edges). Shows amount of known skill, and the number on level 5. Grouping of skills in the list.
Some more probably, but I am too lazy to look at the commit logs.

I hope there will be some additional progress this weekend, we'll see how much other stuff that needs to be done.

Had to delete the database again to refresh changes properly with the last update. But it's looking good.
Thanks for the X skills trained and N at Level V.
Can we get sub-totals on the groups in the character sheet? eg: Drones - 11 skills - 1,254,332 Skill points

Quite possibly, yes. That wouldn't be a problem I think.

This is getting better every day! Keep up the great work.
Just a matter of time before you start adding skill planner type stuff, eh?

Time, yes.
While it's probably an illusion (Especially lunch time), it seems to be a necessary component in software development unfortunatly.
But I am working on it, might take a while before it is ready though.

This first two-digits release is great! Thanks a lot for the skill grouping...
Now what I'd like to see (if not to much trouble) is the time remaining before the current skill is complete ("8 min 45 sec" or "12 days 4 hours 23 min" for example)... Preferably written near the character names on the main screen, and big enough to be seen rapidly... The end date is an important information, but I find the remaining time more useful, especially for short skills!
Anyway, keep up the good work, your progresses are astonishing... And by the way, are you planning something to deal with the skill queue coming soon?

I am adding an option for it (replacing the completion date) in the next release, probably as default.

No idea actually, anyone knows if this is going to have any implications for the api? It might just appear as if the player swapped the skill manually...
Those who live on march 10th will see I guess...
I plan to have an apochribba (can anyone remember how it's spelled, honestly..?) release ready as soon as there is a datadump.

I was also thinking about asking for something to do with the skill queue, but then I couldn't really think of what would be useful in the skill planner..
Perhaps you could build some logic where you say "I can only log in once every x days" and the skill planner designs your plan so that you can queue up your skills each time and lose the least amount of training time.

Hm... I was right then... odd, I tend to spell bad. ;)
So does Apochribba add some mining related bonuses on the revelation..? Hm... but does it really matter in the end, *everybody* loves the Veldnought. Bonus or no bonus.
All hail the Veldnought!

Edited by: Aurora Morgan on 17/02/2009 13:09:58 Sorry to bring the thread on topic again, but 0.0.11 just got released.
New awesome features include.
Fixed a bug causing multiple notifications for skill training completed. Shows rank in skill list. Loader now uses (Processors + 1) threads instead of 2. Now sure all core data calls are from the main thread. Fix bug when training the same skill twice in a row. Group cells in the skill list now shows skillpoints and amount of skills. Fixed some skill level issues. Preferences Window. Skill training format option (Absolute / Relative). Skill level format option (Roman / Arabic). Character window closes if the character is removed. Removed old API-key window.
Available from http://Ceres.doesntexist.org/bin or from the auto updater.
Ps. I compensated the faster loader with loading a _lot_ more stuff... <3

Works fine here. By the way, thanks for the auto-updater, it makes Ceres really easier to use.
Just because I love making suggestions (and because you're really reactive ), could it be possible to graphically display the level the skills are currently trained, with 5 bars more or less filled, just as it is in the in-game skill sheet?

Possibly, am going to think about it a bit.

If someone was running Ceres this morning during down time, you might have noticed that it doesn't really show anything useful anymore.
Remove the bugged characters and re-add them.
OR
You either need to restore your database (Remove the Ceres.sqlite3 in ~/Library/Application Support/Ceres, and optionally rename one of the old databases to Ceres.sqlite3)
Sorry, I think I have fixed it now.

I'm still kind of new to Mac, so I'm not really sure what version you mean when you say Leopard.
I have v10.4.11 OSX. Is that too old to run it? When I try and run Ceres it says it's missing a program to run it, so I'm assuming yes but just wanted to make sure because I really need something like EVEMon and EFT for my laptop.
