Nice try, that's not the point I was making. The point is that a relatively small organization has had numerous stories they submitted accepted, whereas goons have had relatively few and in general those stories have little input from us/discussion of our verison of events.
So what are the numbers then?
Quote: In any event, mission accomplished, as it appears ISD took our concerns seriously (evidenced by the recent well-written and balanced news article describing the events occuring in 49-). So thanks for keeping this in the public eye.
Except that the previous Delve articles were also well-written and balanced!

Edited by: Oran Sound on 23/03/2009 17:00:46 There should be an article on the recent name change of the Kenzoku Alliance. Should I also e-mail this to the ISD, CCP Mitnal?
Its a cool event, being the first recorded name change of an alliance.

Well Amiable Quinn if you appreciate that Goonswarm are "nobodies" then there is no reason why they should be considered any more relevant than anybody else playing this game is there?
Ultimately it comes down to submitting interesting news-leads. If we're all "nobodies" then the name of the organization has no relevance and its all about ISD news getting informed about things that the rest of the "nobodies" in the player base find intriguing.
This pretty much invalidates the accusation of "bias" that the goonswarm posters have been making in the thread.

It wasn't so long ago that this thread was being used by the Goons and their friends to complain that BoB/Ken were getting too much coverage. How things change! I'm also reasonably certain that alliances have had their names changed in the past.

I'm actually, pretty sure that CCP has never done name changes on a whim except in exceptional cases of abuse. In most cases, they have told the alliances to just remake the alliance if they had made a spelling mistake in the name. Granted, this would cause SOV and isk to be lost, woops. And a whole raft of other issues would arise. This is far easier for them than changing/editing their database entry for the old AllianceID to have a new name.

Its not like they have any sov to worry about losing.

and yet they still seem to be missing quite a few members, according to the Dotlan figures.
Quote: SFShootme's initial response was that RKK members could wind up in a new corporation formed with members of Destructive Influence, to be called Relentless Influence [RiCE]. LadyScarlet of Destructive Influence even displayed a banner which she claimed was supposed to be their official picture.

Member of Reikoku Corporation takes "Pleasant Dump" ISD Reporter Shill Worthington
Earlier today New Eden was rocked by news of a member of Reikoku having a "pleasant dump" and "reading good news in his horoscope."
Reikoku member Surrius Bidness described the situation as "very nice" and told this ISD reporter that, according to his local paper's horoscopes, he would "face a challenge today and overcome it."
When asked what that challenge might be, Surrius replied "well, we've managed to lure The Goonsfleet into Delve and I believe this horoscope is a sign that we will be able to make them homeless." Without getting off the toilet, Surrious continued to report that "this was all part of a greater plan" and that they were "biding their time until the Goons would be destroyed."
There were rumors of a major capfleet battle somewhere in the region of Querigous, but New Eden was again rocked by news that a member of the Destructive Influence corporation doomsdayed a group of six Northern Coalition members near Lowsec. When asked about the situation, titan pilot Fat Buttes replied that "our tactics are simply superior." Wiping grease off his chin from his English breakfast, Buttes said "the fight was awesome and is an indication of our growing strength."
No other events occurred today as far as our staff are aware.

Edited by: Lizhia Birath on 07/04/2009 07:51:15 Since its apparently open season on reporting any kind of crap there is, I'd like to submit the following;
Today Lizhia Birath mined Plagioclase for 3 hours straight. She has been planning on buying a large quantity of ammo bpo's for research and manufacturing. What impact this will have on the ammunitions market has yet to be seen. Lizhia had this to say about the future: "Toooth tooooth twiddelie toooth"
I did not mean to outdo the ISD but its so damn hard not to :I Ps. this might be a bit biased

Edited by: Captain Thunk on 07/04/2009 08:38:56 Clarity Brown should never stop posting.
Not that I think he needs any encouragement as even when Kenzoku have been docked for a month, he still has the remarkable ability to dredge up some story on Ken bowel movements or something.
Luckily Clarity was on hand to explain the Reikoku situation before the general public, which is significantly more stupid than a Kenzoku player, may have misinterpreted the situation and believed the greatest alliance ever to grace the face of Eve-Online may have done something stupid.
I look forward to Hilarity Browns next thrilling episode, which of course will no doubt feature everyone's favourite anime based alliance.
