This is a roaming BS, if it's to have a BC inertia and speed, it should be treated as a roaming ship. I think they should reiterate thier position on making the mach a armor tanker, cause those reasons are bogus!!

I don't get these changes.
The whole line of Sansha ships are getting stumped, losing their shields and making them mediocre at best on both base shields and armor. We all know Sansha ships are 100% shield tankers, and they lose shields? No wonder the Nightmare prices are dropping like a rock. Only slight boost is a small addition to the cap pool and, in the case of Succu, a 2m reduction in sig radius.
So what is the grand plan behind the change to Sansha? To force them into an active (read: shield booster) shield tank instead of the buffer we use for PvP?
Also, for the blood raider ships. Yes, it's fantastic that we can now actually use the Ashimmu and Cruor (granted they get a boost to the grid so it's possible to fit anything on them without gimping them to oblivion). But do tell me again exactly what are these ships supposed to be doing? The Curse/Pilgrim are already doing exactly what these ships are, with the only difference being the BR ships being forced to use turrets rather than drones to get the job done.
So they have a webber bonus? What difference does that make? The target ship is going to be neuted to oblivion anyways, so any prop-mods are going to shut down on the target anyways. yes they can chug down capboosters to keep rolling, but thus far I have never had a problem with an unwebbed ship while I flew my Curse/Pilgrim. Also the cost on the BR ships is the same as the Recons, with lower resists.
Other than flavour, the BR ships are an obsolete ship class, aside from the Bhaalgorn since there is no dedicated T2 neut/nos ship in the battleship hull size.
So make the useless ships alittle less useful than their T2 counterparts, and nerf the only decent pirate ships that requires Amarr training.
Fantastic.
Just to point out an example, the Succubus is losing 200 shields, and it's a frigate hull. That's ripping away 25% of the shields. In addition the Worm has armor and hull boosted up, as well as getting 25m3 dronebay... what's that all about?
No, not trolling and saying nerf the Worm or don't boost it. Saying the Succu is getting the arse-end of the stick in this horsetrade deal of a pirateship balance.

Opinions and Attitudes, we have way too many in Eve now. All this griping is part of what is keeping it from happening. Just because you fit a ship a certain way does not mean everyone elae does or even should. How boring would Eve be if everyone flew the same ships, fit same way, and used same ammo? Screw all that, let's have more diversity and some serious fun.

I love most of the changes and i dont think that the guristas are over powered as they were under powered before this.

Im new - but I like missiles - I have been look for a decent faction missile frig -- these upgrades are INSANE -- 2 KILLER new missile frigs and a cruiser - worm - gila - and hookbill navy -- Im gonna sell me a plex just to buy a worm and gila b4 the patch comes and I cant get one - I can LP the hookbill

Good luck trying to fit any modules to the Hookbill with its lol CPU. After MWD, SMLs and a Disruptor II you can't actually fit, well, almost anything.

I want it to run complexes so the MWD and Disruptor 2 are not needed everyone is not planing to use every ship for pvp

I've been playing with the Gila quite a bit and it's going to be pretty nice. Realistically, it's not a lot different than an Ishtar, but for mission running, I think it will be a slight improvement. Anyway, that's just opinion. On the fact side, CPU is pretty tight if you want to fit a drone link augmentor -- but if you don't your max drone range is 50 km which is pretty poor. Max targeting range is just under 70km, so being able to hit out at 70km with drones is nice.
A CPU implant could be a good call on this boat. Gives you a better chance of uses Republic LSE to keep your sig radius down. With 3 CN LSE and 3 Purger's, the sig radius is 242 with shield rigging 4. With 3 Republic Fleet LSE the sig radius is 221. - - - -- - - - -- - - - -- - - - Little known fact: 95% of DS's signatures have nothing to do with EVE. |

don't know about phantasm and the frigate but most (ie non-******ed) use active on a nightmare since if you are willing to spend the isk (presumably you are using a nightmare for pvp) you can get a stronger tank with active. I think the same is true with phantasm.

No. Wrong. Period.
Without t2 resists or an x-l booster, you're not going to get much out of a shield tank, especially not on a laser boat. The phantasm's been a buffer tanked pvp ship since it was changed to a shield/laser boat ages ago. |

Really, as Kenzu pointed out, it's undoable to fit modules to use the ship to its advantage.
I fitted 3 meta4 heavy assaults, a drone control unit, a T2 automated targeting system in the high, and 3 T2 BCUs, a T2 damage control in the low, and I'm already at 332.75 CPU, with all CPU skills maxed. Leaves 17.25 CPU for the mid slots, assuming there are no missile rigs.
Come on' you guyz claim this type of ship should allow for some personalized fitting, but with 350 CPU, this ship is a joke.  Might as well be honest, and remove like 4 slots.
Did any of the devs actually fit and fly this thing?

Imho, A faction ship - navy or pirate should only have bonuses applied when using that factions weps/ammo and mods. Expensive to lose but fun to fight in.
Dronebay on the shmu is silly. Taking a turret hp off is sillier!!

well that gives ccp an idea if they want to create a 2nd bs class for pirate factions perhaps tech 3 variants and that is bonuses when factional weapons modules etc fitted. Could be a future expansion and new tier 2 faction bs Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

hey the dramiel will still be ****e if u dont change it. 100% bonus to 2 turrets isnt good enough. uwe just made it on par with a regular tech1 frig. drop the drone bay and give it atleast 150% or 200% which the daredevil got in turret bonus, also drop the falloff for tracking and we got a decent ship atleast.

It launches 3 light drones, has 4 falloff and tracking bonused guns, and is the single fastest ship in the game.
Don't touch it. This is my ship of choice (well, one of them) once dominion hits.

drones isnt worth ****. gets popped too fast and damage on light scout ist anything to get excited for. more turret damage over drones anyday. why is everything becoming drone carriers all of a sudden btw.

have you ever tried it on sisi? that thing will be a ceptor killer/ubertackler. you can easily get 8-9k/s out of it with implants.

Well, straight-line speed isn't everything, either. I've played around with over-size mwd's on ships, and it gimps the acceleration and turning to the point where they're practically worthless. It's sounds scary on the forums, but in practice I'd easily pwn you with a ship that is only half as fast, because I'd be able to maneuver where you'd just be a heavy flying turd. Errr... I mean brick. :) Trying to orbit in one of those monstrosities is like trying to make a u-turn in a snowball that's rolling downhill.

Will it even accelerate fast enough to reach full speed before capping out though?
Either way, i think you can fit a 10MN on the dramiel anyways...

CCP, I approve of the desire to improve the pirate ships... they were largely in significant need of help... BUT
Please don't ruin the Sansha line.... they were working nicely already... You could pretty much just have left them alone instead of this nerfbat stuff.
