Very true, I don't think everyone realises what that 25% mass reduction actually means for that ship.
The boost in speed by ABs and MWDs is going to go up by a huge amount, it may not be much faster unboosted, but with either an AB or MWD this ship is going to be FAST. Also acceleration depends a lot on mass and dropping 25% means this thing can align and accelerate to maximum speed much faster than any conventional battleship, it should also corner much better now.
It may not track as well as it did, but AC tracking isn't exactly horrid anyway, it'll just have issues with T2 ammo. More fall-off will also mean that it effectively does more damage at it's normal ranges than before, since you're not as deep into falloff. Again, not a bad thing.
Granted, minmatar large projectiles need to be looked at, but this ship certainly isn't bad at all.

Why none of new faction or pirate turret ships (except Navy Slicer) have optimal range bonuses? It's logical what falloff bonuses are better for close range turrets which prevail in solo fits and not many people are ready to risk their expensive toys in bigger fights, but still, one or two ships geared for medium-long range fights would be nice to have.

Someone at ccp love droneboats thats for sure, but its not a main Caldari weapon, and shield resist bonus just screams OP.
I fail to see why the gallente should have 3 droneboats when they could just shieldtank the new navy dominix with its six meds, if thats what they wish.
These changes will give gallente 2 lines of pirate ships perfect for them and missile users will have none.
And as Liang pointed out its damage will be sub-par to a navy domi. But I guess thats ok for those who want to afk-run missions.
I could ofc accept a compromise. Remove the useless railgun bonus and give the gallente drone bonus to it but no increase in dronebay. You either use 3 heavy drones that can be killed or a mix of medium/light drones to kill tacklers. My point is drones should just remain a complement, and not become its primary weapon system.
Are guristas Caldari with some Gallente influences or is it a gallente line with some caldari influences?
Or just scrap this **** and go back to the drawing board, CCP.

Just one question. what about the unique ships? I see no mention of these. The uniques except the new Freki and Mimir are going to be a bit poor compared to the faction ships when these changes go through

well some of my hangar ornaments might need to get the dust blown off.
not to be cliche ccp basher, but this should have been done when hacs were created.
the hurf blurf towards minmatar (by ccp, not ppl posting) is expected and just salt in the wound. mach should be faster, wtf falloff instead of tracking? just imo. the cynabal, whatever. oh, and lol @ not giving 3 turrets to the dramiel, good one. you should give them another missle hardpoint or something, and redo the design to something like this
blood ships need that love, the gila will be fun again. some ships look great here.
hey, is it true ccp isn't ignoring minmatar and they are actually going to major boost artillery and acs and thats why the ships dont need much change?

agreed. changing the gallente bonus' is good idea, but totally crippling the caldari side to do it's not.
the hookbill becomes the new, improved worm- great.
the worm changes to a strange ishkur clone. rather see it 3 launchers as before, 25 bandwidth/50 bay and a 5 km / lvl drone range bonus. this would keep it's long range role.
gila i don't know what to say.. sad to lose the launcher, but the drone bay / bandwidth is amazing. only it's rarity will keep the forums from filling with cries ala pre bandwidth myrmidon.
and the rattle, which i fly.. just depressing. it's a long-range missile ship. i have both bs skills to 5 and glad to see the unused hybrid bonus changed, but i think it's way skewed too much to the gallente side. 
oh well.. hang that 5% / lvl shld resist bonus on there and half of eve's eyes glaze over.

Lol, masochist much? Slower missioner than a CNR, Navy Domi and Golem which all totally outclass it. Dps will suck bigtime in comparison to every faction and pirate bs, but hey YOU CAN TANK! Oh, and if you want any even slightly meaningfull usability out of it then you will have to fit torp range rigs, so no passive tanking for joo either.

If tempest could get the same mass reduction then it would be at least something we could hug and dream.
If projectiles get some love machariel will be a good ship. In fact will be a very powerful 1v1 ship.....

Precisely. Serps are the mainly Gallente pirate faction, Guristas are the mainly Caldari pirate faction. The new Gurista ships are more Gallante than Gallente, with a shield tank and missile ship welded on top. Stupid and makes no sense with the backstory.
Glad to see people with a primarilly Caldari focus arriving at the same conclusion many Gallente focused pilots have.

Two points I'd like considered:
1) Reintroducing ships with a web bonus should be a no no. Why reduce the strength of webbers only to find that you need to put on several ships a webber bonus to make them work as intended. It should be one or the other, otherwise it will become that you just use ships with a web bonus or don't use webs at all.
2) The serpentis ships really demonstrate that blasters are no longer working as intended when in order to create a close range damage dealer EVERY ship needed a webber bonus. What about the hyperion? Feels a bit of a slap in the face to Gallente pilots who were once meant to be blaster experts, but will now realise that the only feasible method is to fly serpentis instead.

edit: if you look at it the sansha cruiser and frig now have significantly less overall hp than any of the other faction ships.. why did they need to be nerfed to be "in line" with the other factions ships???
I agree. What gives with the HP nerf? Is CCP intentionally trying to make sansha ships suck? how about some extra powergrid/cpu for them? (and some better cap capacity!)
