If you could tell us why having more than 5 tabs has been stopped that'd be great.
Patched my client and have still got my epic 20 tab overview but... now I can't share it, or seemingly get a new computer. Ever.

Does anyone else think the new starscapes/backgrounds are just terrible? I REALLY hate to say it, and I love CCP, but the Dominion backgrounds are just UGLY. Compared to the beauty of Apocrypha's systems, I was shocked when I logged in and saw these mushy, low res blobs taking up my once gorgeous space.
At first I thought it was just my computer, or perhaps my display settings had reset, but on the highest settings, the once amazing nebulas and gas clouds that occupy Eve were pixilated, ugly THINGS with no definition whatsoever!.
I apologize that I'm so blunt about it, but I'd rather run Eve at 15-20 fps than be forced to play it at 50 fps with these terrible backgrounds.

The new mail system is a significant improvement. That one has been long overdue. The new browser is working much better than the old one. Nice shiny planets.
I am however, very disappointed with the skill nerfs. It's a slap in the face to the pilots that have invested the time to train up those skills. Further, the skill nerfs in hacking and archaeology trivialize the exploration profession. My 2 isk.

Major weird thing going on with corp taxes
my corp tax has a 80% tax (this is on purpose as im in a 1 man corp intending to use the corp wallet like a savings account)
this is what i see happening:
i get a bounty reward for 1,000,000 ISK i see a entry showing that 800,000 of it is taken by corp taxes
BUT
then i see an entry in my corp wallet for 1,600,000 ISK for that same bounty and then i see the 800,000 subtracted by a random 50% tax thats applied to the corp ITSELF
if u look at the math:
i make 100%, 80% is taken from me....but the corp receives 200% of that 80% whatever that is, and then it has 50% of that taken to compensate
so i still get my 80% tax
but its so backwards...what the hell is going on with the math here? why cant my corp just have 80% given to it straight? is this some bad code that wasn't able to be fixed so u guys had to throw on a 50% to the corps themselves to compensate?
hotfix plz? |

Anybody else miffed that they put in the hours to train dependent skills only to have those dependencies reduced? From the looks of things it's to help with the COSMOS and epic mission arcs, but still...
Maybe that's just mean spirited of me. Looking forward to delving further into Dominion.

I never knew there was so much wrong with Eve.
I mean WoW! Thank you for all of the Great fixes.
The one change I am mostly not pleased with is from the Patch notes, "Agents & Missions" section. That is, "All existent Epic Arcs, Blood Stained Stars, Penumbra, Right to Rule, Syndication, and Wilfire, will now provide faction standing bonuses associated with the chosen ending upon completion". Now that I'm concurrently running Penumbra, Right to Rule, Syndication, and Wilfire, I'll have to be very careful about the order of completion so as to not screw up my relatively non-biased existing faction standings. This change seems to be more of the same of CCP's 'Peace Doesn't Pay' mentality. Please understand that it Does pay -at least until my subscription runs out next month. So, will you offer suggestions to those who don't want the faction standing gains? Those who have already begun all of the level four epic arcs... will you grandfather us (I doubt that I'm the only one.) into not getting faction standing gains is we so chose? I'd much rather have LP.
But thank you for so many other great fixes and improvements.

It bothered me a bit at first. Yet, with the reduced prerequisite requirements, I would have been less inclined to train up to the higher skill levels.
Perhaps your running the epic arcs and, like myself, just finished up training some prerequisites in order to run the mission(s).

Requested to post here from the Features and ideas original thread.
Anyways, to summize, everything being lumped into the inbox, personal mails, etc get cluttered with corp/alliance/etc and can become quite annoying to find and sort. Especially for CEO's like myself which receive mails from non corp members, etc. Ideally, can their be an option to remove corp, mailing list mails, etc from the inbox?

I was looking forward to the new graphics having seen them on sisi but I have to say in their current form on tranq I'm pretty underwhelmed.
Unfortunately they really reduced the res on the new planets and moons compared to the way they were in some builds on the test server. They were looking great with good detail at one point.
Please give people with faster computers a way of turning the res up on the new planets.

so someone else brought this up on a different forum
under the subscription account stuff:
Your card will be automatically charged $14.95 for every month of game time until you change your payment method or cancel your account. You will be charged an additional $5.00 registration fee with your first payment, which will not be charged again. Your account will be activated immediately
They said that they have already paid the original activation fee, and have just been de-activated, but wanted to re-up with dominion. Is this $5 fee going to continue to get charged every time the account is cancelled?

The space ship camera movement is just plain awful if I put it nicely. Looking at your own ship from 200km away the field moves like no tomorrow. It is disorientating and discomforting. Surely, even for realism, the space people in future can make cameras that have don't act like a boat on sea. Already went through the menus and didn't find a way to turn it off. I is annoyed. I don't mind the ships moving around when on stations but for usability and comfort's sake get the old camera back. please?
Also the star background looks very low resolution.
Also a bug. You have your sounds turned off but you still hear the sounds. You need to turn them on and back off to get rid of them.
Also the web browser lacks some very basic functions. Being able to make the text bigger and smaller would be really nice, like the A+ and A- buttons on chat screens. And why did you have to make a ccp bad gui (R) for this thing too? What's so difficult to code that double clicking or middle clicking on the tab bar opens a new window and middle clicking on already open tab closes it? Was it too extreme to have the de facto mouse gestures for back and forth in the browser? Hold right mouse button down and press left and you go back. Vice versa and you go forward. Instead you put the + and - buttons as far away from each others. I guess looks/symmetry is more important than usability?
Under the hood it is all and fluffy but using it could be a lot more convenient. I guess at ccp you can't have things like user interface and usability in same sentence. I mean, they are the opposite of each other, right? ________________________________________ I don't have a signature |

Knowing CCP, they only give us one fixed option.
I am personally very glad that they toned it down, preventing my computer from freezing every time I undock, warp or try to do ANYTHING. I appreciate CCP's listening to me on Sisi when I multiple times pointed out bugs and reported them, resulting in this fix to which I am *incredibly* grateful for.
Thanks CCP.

Things i don't like:
1. Insane memory leak - AGAIN. for some reason its like that after every expansion.
2. The last time i was on SiSi the stars were more, bigger and brighter. Now on TQ they are again some tiny little dots, slightly better then they were before.

Well, having learned from my horror experience trying to install Apocrypha earlier in the year, I employed the same solution to get Dominion running this time around: install on another PC, then copy the extracted files over to mine. That only left a weird DirectX problem which only took a few more minutes to resolve before I finally made it in.
The first thing I noticed when logging on to an Empire alt was the flatter UI. WHY? It looks so... cheap... and boring. Bring back the bevelling, bring it back I say!
Then I switched to my main in wormspace and oh my, the class 3 background has been darkened, hooray! It actually feels like space now, and not just a sea of perpetual smog. Thank you! :D
The stars look so much better as well. I notice that they fade out a bit in areas with nebulae, nice touch; perhaps the same could be done when looking towards the sun? If anything, it seems the stars actually look brighter when viewed closer to the sun. Also, I realise how the zoom effect works on stars, but what are the chances of some sort of slider control to maybe allow the stars to be a little more visible at default viewing distances, at the expense of the overall zoom effect strength, if that makes sense?
The moon next to my POS didn't look like a dead rock anymore, so I just had to warp to each planet in my system so see what they look like, and very nice they are indeed. My favourite of the ones I've seen so far is the lava planet, mmmm. The others range from awesome to OK, but all are a vast improvement on what there was. It's beginning to feel like the Trinity graphics upgrade is almost complete; next should be nebulae that doesn't always remind you of another constellation somewhere else, please. ♥
Sound, as has already been reported, continued to work for me even when turning it off from the Esc menu. Toggled it a couple of times to kill it properly.
Also, why was a Sovereignty indicator added to the top left info in wormspace systems? Sure the status reads "unclaimed", but since that's always the case out there, should it not read "unclaimable"? Or better yet, why does it even need to be there at all? Please say you're not thinking about actually enabling sov in wormspace? :|
Performance-wise, no discernible change although I'm still yet to get into a fight. Happy to put that off for a day or two though, keeping in mind we're still just the day after patch day.
But so far anyway, Dominion for me is not without its faults, but thumbs leaning up purely on the strength of the graphical improvements. \o/

The "bobbing" of the camera has been around for as long as I can remember (as in pre-RMR) and doesn't seem to be any different now, unless you've manually adjusted your FoV to zoom in a bit (which increases the effect).
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

no it's no, it's procedurally generated. More starts are mathematically added as you zoom in.

The bouncing around in space totally breaks the Emmersion of the game. There are no waves in space CCP.. seriously! Are you guys really that stupid?
This is something I vaugely recal before but it has been 'enhanced' in this patch and is much more severe.
So far this is my only major complaint. Game patched fine.
Minor complaints: *UI is flat and old looking but functional. *Channels took a bit to find but once found wasn't a problem using. *Jukebox is now playing my own music. I am happy with that. It was fairly simple to figure out. *Corp interface is only marginally better. I give you a 2/10 for trying. *Mail system is a cluster **** and while I understand the need to change it, I don't believe it is working as well as you intended. it is more cumbersome than it needs to be. *Fleet finder doesn't appear to be working properly under any settings option. *Map seems a bit 'odd' but just may be I am not used to it yet. *Star field is static for me. I don't seem to be able to 'zoom in' to it as others have described.
Things I like: Everything else so far seems to rock.

It has been mentioned in this thread but I'd like to mention it again. Camera floating around is really annoying, and for some reason it feels like the camera is slower to respond?
Also, I have to agree with stars looking blurred and very low quality. Planets on the not so sunny side are pitch black and block the sun completely, would be nice to have the edges of the planet light up a bit.
