We've tracked down a likely culprit and are working on a fix. Sometimes seemingly innocent changes in low-level rendering code can have unforeseen side effects.
We'll try to get a fix out on Sisi as soon as possible so that we can verify we've really figured it out this time. |

Whatever the patch changed. The sideeffect is that it has no effect. *scnr*

No changes here. Upon logging into 2nd client I go from about 40 FPS to ~5 FPS or worse.
GeForce 9800GT, 4gb ram
Also, latest patch has botched up the in-station inventory tree. Default tree size is super-narrow, and it NEVER saves it when I make it wider.

Older Nvidia graphic here, 8GB and I5. I noticed it yesterday for the first time (where i actually tried to check, wtf happened, might have occured earlier). Started, when i logged in a 3rd client and caused my fps to drop massivly to around 5-10. I logged the 3rd client off and the fps didn't change much (maxed at 12). Today i tried some more and it was going good with 2 clients (one docked all the time - A, other in space doing stuff - B). After I docked and undocked a few times (2-3 don't know, Clioent B) both client's fps drop to 15 and don't seem to recover. It seems to slow down my system aswell, although nothing indicates that (CPU and RAM-usage as always). When I minimize the client which seemingly causes the slowdown (Client B), Client A goes up again (while minimizing A doesn't do the same on B). Maximizing B will result in slowing down the system again. |

2x GTX560 running in SLI here, using 2560*1600 resolution, fixed window mode.
Single client - constant 60fps.
Start 2nd client - 60fps. After ~5 minutes however, both clients slow down to < 5fps. GPU usage drops down to single digits and the fans slow down. Nothing resolves this issue except closing one of the clients. After doing that the framerate jumps back to 60fps almost immediately.
DXDIAG: http://pastebin.com/GjBTr5jH
Unfortunately I'm not able to run SISI but I hope this helps. |

Hi!
Our test-server Singularity was just updated with a patch for these performance problems. We found some issues in our rendering code, which caused the GPU being flooded with very small requests. This has been fixed now on Singularity and we assume that this will solve the performance problems or at least reduce them a lot.
It would be awesome if you could help us by testing this on Singularity, as we have still trouble with reproducing the issue reliably in-house. Please report back here, if it worked for you, or if you client is still totally slow. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Problem seems SOLVED for me with todays patch on TQ. I also forced my NVIDIA drivers for set antialiasing OFF. |

same here also since 1.1 cannot run more than 1 client without huge fps drops/system hangup, vid card set to performance, no improvement |

Patch today made the problem a little better for me... fps drop from 60 to 20 with single client when undocking or jumping or docking.. So something is helping but still cannot run two clients without major issues. |

Hi there,
Got on Sisi, downloaded patch, started 2 clients and went to do usually things i do on TQ server. And everthing is fine, 2 clients running smooth, 60fps, just like before this Inferno 1.1 patch
My vote for putting this on TQ ASAP!!! |

Todays patch June 28th, did not do anything! I don't know what people are talking about. Test server looks good though. |

Do you guys mind posting here if these fixes make it out to TQ? Otherwise I'll test Singularity when I get home from work. |

Since the latest patch everything has been running smoothly with two clients at 60FPS for me. Hopefully this surprise downtime doesn't mess it up again =P |

If the patch this unscheduled downtime was supposed to fix it, it didn't. |

The fix is currently only on SIngularity, the unscheduled downtime on TQ did not include it. We hope to be able to bring the fix to TQ with the next patch, assuming that we find no problems with it. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

The patch on sisi didnt fix it for me, my problem is i get major slowdowns with a single client after a few session changes or alt tabbing for some reason. i already put a bug report out about it on tq. |

SISI fixed it for me, although framerate is slightly below par. It's playable again though:) The box said "Requires Windows-á2000 or better", so I installed Linux. |

The current Singularity patch fixed these issues for me as well. No more framrate dropping connected with the UI, no more random anti aliasing on session changes.
Looking forward to the implementation on TQ. |

Spent about an hour on Sisi tonight testing, and the issue appears to be resolved there for me, lets hope this can get rolled out on to TQ soon. And just to balance the earlier flames of some people i for one find the attention this issue received from CCP to be very good, and am impressed with the efforts of the staff members at CCP for their effort in rectifying. |

On Singularity now and I believe the problem is solved.
But then again, there's no one else flying ships and nothing to create enough lag (no POS where I landed). So hopefully I can test more and find something to fill up my brackets and overview.
Edit: I'm getting an average of 30FPS which is below normal pre-1.1 but it's plenty to play with. Better than the 4-5 FPS I was getting the other day at my POS. |

if 30fps is the average we can expect, then its not fixed. im getting that on one client. it is better than 4fps, but in no way acceptable performance. |

It's better, but not quite fixed. Hiding the UI still causes a substantial rise in framerate. Support showing T2 and faction frequency crystal damage in the info window. (Link was wrong, now fixed) |

Current build on Sisi made absolutely no progress for me. I am still seeing very horrible lag after 5-10 minutes in-game and out. But the lag when logged onto Sisi still disappears as soon as I minimize the client. |

Where I was 30-40fps on TQ, I am 80-120 on SiSi
Even at the fight area with brackets on, I stayed about 40 the whole time. |
