Do we have to go to the CQ once we are docked or is it optional...cuse srsly i dont want to lag my station trader in jita 4-4 to some kind of pannel until I can check my orders...
For the regular game Incarna will be fun i think.

While very pretty and certainly nice for new players, the in space UI needs WAY more work than the in station UI, and adding dress up dolls to it is not the way to fix it.
I agree that there are other things that can use work, but this time Incarna got the work. 5-boxers like yourself (I only run 2) are an issue, yes, and one that you've been spoiled with to this point.
On duality, same as on TQ now, a minimized client (even in CQ) drops to nearly 0 resource usage (other then mem obviously). So as long as you minimize each client instead of alt-tabbing, and you have 6-8g of ram, your probably over-reacting. All of that is for the windows users out there, I dont buy macs.
I really don't think 'Please don't FORCE me to load your dress up dolls add on CCP' is an over-reaction. It's more of a constructive suggestion to help anyone who doesn't have a $1500 or more computer purchased in the past year to play eve without excessive lag on loading the 'worthless visual fluff' that incarna is.

I'd really rather not have to load all the crap for 4 clients. Since we can access all the services via neocom, why not just let us chill in the ship or whatever to avoid CQ completely?? You guys have been doing great work fixing up the client and reducing unnecessary windows/click etc...loading all this crap and walking around seems to be in the opposite direction (even if it looks nice). I'm looking forward to the public areas though, that is good content...not just fluff.

This will be an enormous step towards full immersion. To actually be the capsuleer, watching my ship.
Absolutely beautiful.
I adore the artistry. My only reservation, and not because I enjoy being a sourpuss, is when we're actually walking in stations. I really do hope CCP will find a way to offer meaningful content. The feature has to fit the narrative. If you can do that I'll be your forever fawning fan.

One thing I noticed on the Duality build is when you dock the neocom buttons and the station services buttons load first and are active BEFORE the room and avatar are loaded. So for everyone who wants to do a quick dock, refit, undock, the time to load the room is irrelevant, you do not need to wait for it.
If you want to test it, be sure to undock in a ship with no turrets fitted (there is a big bug). I just undocked in my pod.

I bet we'll be happy with new players who enjoy deeper and more enjoyable EvE that CCP continues to create and build on top with each and every expansion than listen to your whining 'please don't change the 2003 gameplay'!
I have played this game for over 6 years now and I can honestly say the above statement is crap...... CCP has constantly given us free expansions. Unfortunantly most of the changes and the added "depth" you speak of have only been half completed. There is so much more CCP can do then give everyone a room to walk around in. How about you look into the following:
1- Stable nodes---besides Jita.... been waiting for this forever 2- Sov warfare--- been broke a long time 3- Agent missions--- There is no depth and the recent changes have removed all sense of accomplishement from working up standings now. 4- Sleepers--so much more is possible with this to add "depth" 5- Incursions--- depth issues again 6- Bounty system--- this could create a new profession 7- Jovians-- OMG.... The Jove have been a part of Eve Lore since the beginning and nothing has been done with them........ 8- This list can go on forever but I wanted to highlight a few examples of what should be addressed instead of walk in stations.
I am absolutely a fan of this game or I wouldn't have invested this much time in it. However, as the game continues to be placed on "easy mode" and new features continue to be added instead of correcting 1/2 done features it will cause alot of the veteran players that helped get this game going to consider other options. I for one HATE the idea of walk around stations and I hope that I can chose to not load the station environment.
CCP- Please continue to provide new content and changes to the game but make those changes and improvements something that will build off or correct the current game. Do not add something just to say you did it......

Great news ! It's been a long time \o/
But I am curious about the RP justification of ending in the CQ fully washed and dressed every time I will dock.
From my point of vue, I remain while in space in a liquid substance that fills my pod. So when docking, the pod has to empty itself (like in the incarna teaser video), then free me, then I should have a shower, then dress up... Every time I dock ? This feels a bit awkward.
Plus... I can see my ship on the balcony, but... How do I physically go back to it ? Where did my capsule go ?
This combined with the nice black screen + loading bar breaks immersion a lot from my point of vue...
From what I imagine, the good'ol hangar interface fits just fine until the moment when "things need to be done that must not be registered on any network"... and then you go do your business in station
I also have concerns about when the multiplayer part of Incarna will be released : if pilots are automatically sent into the station, then there will be places (who said Jita 4-4 ?) where pilots will keep appearing/disappearing all over the station, all the time ! This or the "spawn" point will always be crowded with tens of players idle (because doing things that don't require Walking in Station). Immersion breaking, too ?

What's good for the game is more interesting and engaging content. This is 'get out and watch TV in station'. Like I keep saying, this is detrimental to eve if CQ takes more system load than minimum in space system load. No reason to make it a compulsory 'feature' if it's more system intensive than space at all. Especially not when there's not added functionality to the station for not being in your ship.
Right now, All I want is to make sure that CCP keeps in mind that not everyone has the ability to run the full graphics clients well, that includes people who bought their computers recently.
Eve has always been one of the less system intensive MMOs on the market, and I hope this trend continues as it keeps the barrier of entry low allows more people to play, and overall enriches Eve online better than a 0 game mechanic version of 2nd life that uses Eve currency to create minor isk sinks.

Actaully the hardware you can get for $30 will end up costing you ú30 in the UK thanks to added taxes and general ripoff tendancies. Same with the Ç30, in between the dollar and sterling but less ripoff tendancies and most likely less tax compared to the UK.
So yes, buying the same hardware in the different regions will end up costing about the same value regadless of the currency selected.

Especially in light of wannabee competitors like Black Prophecy which aim specifically for lower requirements. Sure, can't compare those currently to EVE, thank god they couldn't get over the budget requirements for single cluster technology so they ended up picking other business model. But still, with gratification of gameplay slowly becoming a factor a lower treshold of entry becomes an argument.

"When you dock your ship, your Captain's Quarters will replace the current hangar view"
Sounds pretty compulsory to me, please CCP listen to those that want the option to turn this off, it's an option that's non-breaking, costs nothing to implement and instantly makes a bunch of players happy when they want to be sure they can do stuff as quickly/easily as possible. It's been said many times before and is worth saying again now: You don't have to force new content down peoples throats for it to be appreciated! Personally I think stations have alot of potential (not that I think there's the will to implement much of it) and could be great, but if those that aren't particulaly interested are only moaning about having to load them they'll never appreciate any of it, whereas if it was something optional we could choose to play with when we wanted there's a damn sight more chance of everyone growing to enjoy the in-station experience, at the times they want too.
Please please please CCP just give us an option to disable/enable automatic loading of stations, or at least stop pretending you listen to your players.

Ok so let me get this straight-
In theory, now all the long limbed roes, dairy products, and other miscellaneous items become "real" in our CQ? Do we have a fridge to put these in now? I am not leaving my milk on the counter, it will stink up the joint.
What about the janitors and exotic dancers I have in my items hangar... Can I let them out now and have a big old party in my CQ? (Not so much the janitors, unless they are really French(oops, Gallente) maids)
Will there EVER be ship spinning again? I really do love the concept of being "an avatar", but I would still like an option to ship spin from time to time. It's the little things after all.
How soon till I can buy the bar of my dreams and start making ISK inside the station? (Not to mention put those exotic dancers to work)
Will the motel 6 bed be used in order to log off, change characters, or quit game? It would make the most sense to allow that.
Finally, what are we getting on June 21; JUST Minmatar stations, or all four races' CQs? I generally stay in a Gallente Station, as I do not like the Ghetto look of the Minmatar stations. (Just cause I black don't mean I ghetto, ya feel me?) In any event we have not seen any vids or pix of the other three races' CQs...
Enquiring minds want to know.
Btw when the heck did you all mirror Duality... I STILL cannot get in!!! I've had my account live for almost a month now.

First of all, you don't need a $1500 computer bought recently to get good performance in incarna. My $1000 or less computer from 2 years or so ago gets 60+ fps on duality at 1920x1280 res with 4x AA on stop trying to make that redicilous and unfounded argument.
Secondly what do you expect them to do when releasing Incarna otherwise? Release one big expansion with all of it in there and just make their customers power through the inevitable bugs and headaches that will come with that? The way they have chosen to release incarna IS the best way for them to do it because it will allow them to deal with a smaller number of issues at a time.

My $800 dollar computer from this year can barely pull 20 FPS on the lowest settings... So really going with an unfounded claim here.
I expect CCP to do what was stated in the past, make walking in stations OPTIONAL.

Duality mirror is like 2 months old. While they might put out a newer build on duality i am guessing they will put the new CQ build on sisi the 2 or 3 of next month.
Also for all the duality haters duality currently is not running the new cliant that is currently on sisi. CQ is optimized to run that cliant I expect frame rate to increase by a facter of 3 this is not including optimizations.

Over the last 2 years especially CCP has released content that was well not finished, with a promise to return to it in the future. To date it has not returned to any of them to do anything more than minor tweaks and as a result most are not utilized or as functional as they should be.
So exactly how can we trust that Incarna will ever be more than just the Captain's Quartes, after all you've dangled this for 6 years at least, and you still don't have any interaction between toons in station...
