I'll bet CCP doesn't have the line item in the project plan that reads "Roll-back".

So, let's take the monthly amount an account costs ($14.95), and do the math and you come up with about 50 cents per day. Slightly more than 2 cents per hour. Downtime goes for an extra 3 hours. You want your 6 cents back?
Haha 6 cents for a single person is not that much but count it like this... For example 40k players x 6 cents and you get 2400 USD (or EUR) to refund :) Thats considerable "loss" for them

Edited by: Araxian on 31/05/2011 17:18:24 I think CCP should in future consider overestimating patch DT by 250%, that way, they will only be 2-3 hours later than the start-up time they give us!
oh and...
Incompatible (Version) - When will i be able to download that 0.5GB's - Now would be nice so that i can log the **** on when the sever finally comes back up

(To all those crying about downtime)
I dont understand how you can seriously have nothing better to do than just sit here for hour after hour waiting, crying, and moaning how a game (thats right, a G A M E) isnt online yet. So what. Wow... you have to go ONE day without playing. OH MY GOD! THE WORLD MIGHT END! Seriously. Go find something to do... get a job or a girlfrien... or hell, BOTH! Stop crying in the forums about how they didnt do this or they are taking to long. All you are doing is showing how truely immature you are. Hell, go play a console game or one of the other 500 games we all know you have on your computer! Geez!

Thank you.
Who said anything about testing the patch? Hehehe, if they have, those issues they have now would have been uncovered during the test. They just patch singularity, if it doesn't crash, all's good, then the flaunt how good programmers they are.. hehehe.

She'd have won in most other countries as well. The coffee is expected to be hot. It is not expected or anticipated that the coffee will be hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns in a few seconds of exposure.
Worth considering where, exactly the burns were in this case. Guy's look down at your little friend. Imagine it with all 3 layers of skin peeling off. How much would THAT hurt?

Originally by: Billiejo Jackson Edited by: Billiejo Jackson on 31/05/2011 16:36:39 The sacred Aztec calendar is properly called the Eagle Bowl. It represents the solar deity Tonatiuh. The amazingly accurate calendar has been in use in various forms for more than 2,000 years. A Zapotec prophecy, based on the Eagle Bowl, states:
ôAfter Thirteen Heavens of Decreasing Choice, and Nine Hells of Increasing Doom, the Tree of Life shall blossom with a fruit never before known in the creation, and that fruit shall be the New Spirit of Men.ö
The 13 Heavens and 9 Hells were each 52 years long (1,144 years total). Each of the 9 Hells were to be worse than the last. On the final day of the last Hell (August 17, 1987), Tezcatlipoca, god of death, would remove his mask of jade to reveal himself as Quetzelcoatl, god of peace.
In the mythology of the Aztecs, the first age of mankind ended with the animals devouring humans. The second age was finished by wind, the third by fire, and the fourth by water. The present fifth epoch is called Nahui-Olin (Sun of Earthquake), which began in 3113 BC and will end on December 24, 2011. It will be the last destruction of human existence on Earth. The date coincides closely with that determined by the brothers McKenna in The Invisible Landscape as ôthe end of historyö indicated by their computer analysis of the ancient Chinese oracle-calendar, the I Ching.
The Mayan calendar is divided into Seven Ages of Man. The fourth epoch ended in August 1987. The Mayan calendar comes to an end on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Only a few people will survive the catastrophe that ensues. In the fifth age, humanity will realize its spiritual destiny. In the sixth age, we will realize God within ourselves, and in the seventh age we will become so spiritual that we will be telepathic.

God, get an F'n grip folks. CCP's come a LOOOOONG way from their previous Patch-Time Fopahs (DAYS vs an extra 2hrs).

It was more than just hot, it was industrial grade scolding hot. McDonalds was told to reduce the temp of coffee 3 times due to serious burns prior to this incident and they actually made it hotter. This stuff was hot enough for the worst burns in under .5 seconds and was not safe for any sort of human consumption.
Also the lid was not properly placed on the cup to keep the coffee contained. This case has multiple incidences of neglect on the part of McDonald's. What isn't reported is the damages were reduced later on on a settlement in the case.

Hold on everyone I need to whine... Ok here we go... nothing original
Dear CCP,
Are you aware that due to your extended down time and my ignorance that you (and by you and I mean myself) have cost me an hour of no training time. I didn't calculate for extended downtime like I should have because I cannot possibly understand that stuff goes wrong. I have absolutely no common sense when it comes to server upgrades and patches. In fact I don't even understand why I doesn't work sense it WORKED on the test server? You know, the server where most things get tested to the best of everyone ability? Surely I cannot understand that the difference between the test server and this one is the number of people connected, which is what, some 47,000 difference, if not more. I really also cannot understand how problems with starbases occurred since my plain ignorance can only assume that they worked fine on the test server.
So, Can You please hurry up since I am just not smart enough to understand that stuff like this takes time. I mean really, 8 hours? That seems way to much for me, I mean if I had a job and worked on something for 8 hours I would get pretty mad and impatient.
Sincerly, A Non-CCP hater/troll/begger/idiot.
