CCP like to introduce Money Trade Items in The Goose Golden Eggs EVE Online?, EVE Online is a succesfull game in the past years, is your basement, is a secure basement, Is not a market experiment !.
Really do you want to transform EVE Online Pay2Play in an EVE Online Free2Play + Money Trade Items?, really?, think about that.
Is CQ representing your technology in avatars rendering and movement in WoD and DUST514?, are you going to compete with the others game makers with that?, really?.
Do you like to expand your player base?, then try to make possible to pay EVE Online in local money across a lot of countrys, learn it from Travian. EVE Online is a Bad Game that the Players make Good. |

Guys look at it from a future subscription stand point. As eve needs to attract more new players. However we need to keep the old ones in game as well.
The new store and aur are here to stay so lets look at the problems. IE stuff to your CQ or char.
Nothing like implants/ammo/ships/skill points/standings should ever be bought with real $$$$. Regardless if they can be sold for isk later or not.
Problems/Solutions.
Problems 1) CQ way to laggy and screws multi client use. 2) AUR proposed for purchase of ships/ammo and so on 3) extreme lack of communication from CCP regarding changes that where effectively game breaking.
Solutions 1) Have an option for players to use the OLD view but then have a disembark ship option that gives you a cool animation of your chars pod getting loaded into a holder and then dropping out of the pod.
that way those of us that dont mind CQ can still experience it.
2) Provide a guarantee to players that the AUR/New shop will never for the future of eve be used to BUY in game items that give any player a benefit over another. IE implants/ammo/ships/skill points/standings
3) Start actually communicating with players in regards to future changes. at the end of the day we pay to play this game and some of us have alot more than just 1 account.
I have already seen the effect of this on players.
Friends have unsubscribed because it wont work on their mac book others that have older computers have unsubscribed until they can afford to buy a new PC.
Please remember this is just a summary of what i see the issues to be and some ideas as solutions. But CCP need to hear from every player that wants changes.
Me personally if i cant use multi client i will be unsubbing at least 8 of my accounts.

Well, back in the original threadnaught, it was predicted the response by CCP would be PR. And so it has.
The statements by the CCP'ers in this thread completely lack substance and, IMHO, make this whole thing worse. They've not said one thing except that the Aurum/Cash shop poker WILL remain up our arses.
Which means nothing at all has changed, nothing at all WILL change. All the plans in the newsletter are on track. Full speed ahead.
Until the money runs out because we all leave...

CCP - please don't break our game.
I love Eve, it's an amazing place. Some of the recent changes have been awesome, turrets for example, and the simple change of the way we leave our station. But please, please, don't break our game.
Look at the community now. Broken and raging because of fear that they will lose what the love. Why would you go against that? It actually makes sense to keep your players, because Eve players will buy Dust, and Eve players will try WoD. Of course they will, they'll be curious.
Just don't break our game.

CCP Pann,
The main issue is that it appears that CCP has been telling the players/customers one thing, while planning to do something else. The :Fearless:Greed is Good, document that keeps being mentioned is the biggest reason for the outrage. We need to know, with proof, if it is an actual CCP document, or not. And, unfortunately, it may be too late for anyone to believe any response to this. The biggest part of that is CCP Fallout's comments about MT. While he admitted that the players have said time and again that we don't want them in EVE, he wants to push them on us anyway. And then, not just for vanity items, but enhancements. We don't want that, and we don't appreciate being lied too. (In case you haven't noticed, John Turbefeild(sp?) has become somewhat of a hero for us through the same document.)
Next thing is, CQ was promised to be optional, and it is, sort of. Instead of letting those that want the hanger view, which a large portion of us do, you make us stare at a door. So the choice is a door, or CQ, some immersion there, thanks. The prices in the NEX, while way outside the meaning of micro-transactions, are not a major concern. The fact that they are so high makes it seem that CCP is just trying to soak as much money from its loyal fanbase as it can. I don't see the NEX going away, but never sell enhancements.
While I see a lot of "I don't pay for EVE so CCP can develop DUST and WoD!" complaints, it really would be shortsighted of us to actually believe that we should have any say in how CCP uses the money we pay to play EVE. And I really do hope that those game become solid, with as a supportive, and vocal, player base as EVE's. Because, if they don't, I fear for a game that I do care about.
In the end, all we really ask for is that someone step up and explain why CCP appears to be telling us one thing, then planning on doing what it is so obvious that the players don't want. We love this game, we want to continue to support it, and we will, if CCP stays to what it promised. I know that I, for one, and many others support a rise in the subscription price, instead of MT. Please listen to that part very closely. Because, if you lose us, EVE dies. If EVE dies, CCP may very well become like the dinosaurs. And we know what happened to them, don't we?

I'm most disappointed that CCP released a Dev blog saying look at all we did after the patch in response to the players when what it really did was use 2000 words to show **** all work to justify the VERY FEW things in addition to the station walking everyone turned off.

Put Hilmar in front of a camera and have him read a statement, make a Powerpoint or something, but I want to look into your EYES and see whether you are telling the truth. Because honestly, your words mean pretty much nothing to me anymore.
I agree, a video effort will give the community the appropriate impression that CCP are taking the issue seriously. Said video must include a copy of the "Greed is Good" issue of Fearless exploding in Hilmar's face :)

I'm new to EVE, extremely new, and I'm sad I've wasted the money subscribing to this game to have it ruined so soon after starting. I've already left three other MMO games that changed (or added) micro-transactions to their game, and I guess EVE will be the 4th.
I'm off to go in search of a new MMO to play that is everything for one price, just as I was doing when I found EVE.
quoted because he makes a good point.
CCP, remove your terribad microtransactions.

We are being treated with outright contempt, the newsletter proves that beyond a doubt. I wonder what percentage of the community you'll have left after this storm dies down?

This thread is a bit like an avalanche so I'm sure my two cents will get drowned with the rest but I wanted to throw it in anyway in the hope that it helps CCP to realize that a great many players are concerned by recent events.
I understand that CCP is inherently a business and will seek to make as much revenue as possible. I also understand that the time and effort of the development cycle means we as the players will see "unfinished" releases like the CQ and that there will inevitably be bugs and other errors.
The critical issue now is a growing lack of faith in CCP's genuine goodwill towards its playerbase and gameplay-driven vision for the game itself. EVE is a great game with many, many flaws. But I think many of us are willing to hang with it over the bumps because we want desperately to believe that the end-goals of the game designers are rather close to ours.
A lot of the conversations during the AT9 coverage helped to reinforce my belief in the sound judgement of people like Soundwave, Zulu and Greyscale. Unfortunately the leaked newsletter (while meant for internal use only) betrayed much of that built-up goodwill. The statements from that document need to be directly addressed to the playerbase and if there is a context to put them in (like Soundwave just playing devil's advocate), I hope it is genuine and open.
tl;dr: EVE is a game I love to play, and CCP is company I want to trust. Please stop making that difficult.

GUYS GUYS ****.
THis answer has already been ****ing answered in the leaked internal document -- YES they will be selling NON-VANITY AUR ITEMS! Ammo, ships, standings, and anything else they come up with.
Instead of asking a question you already have an answer for, start demanding justification for this answer!
It may have been answered in the leaked document. But if that's the case then and they are sticking to it then they could tell us.
My guess is yes that was the plan initially but because of all the protests they will have to review it. My guess also is that because they're not answering that question they don't have the authority to answer the question. So until they've discussed it with those that can make those decisions and have decided what the damage will be with either answer they are unlikely to answer that question.

This is wrong.
Having a subscription means that you should have 100% access of the game, regardless of "special goods" being offered in the market. By adding micro tranactions, it creates an image of greed and lack of support for their gaming community. People already have to pay for their internet service, as well as paying for their monthly gaming fee. By adding this, it is actualy swindeling out of their money. These future micro transactions genrate a bad image and reduces the strenght of the community. Actions like these generate these riots, and if YOU CPP do not realize this, then you will get no where with your community.
Sincerely
Christian. F
