While I can't be sure of their motives 100%, I'd say the appearance of ISS playing to BoB's direction has alot more to do with it than their own personal interests in the station.

Pure Blind is one of those extremely splayed-out regions. EC-P8R and P2-TTL are >20 jumps from each other IIRC. EC-P8R is next door to Torrinos and just about 5 jumps from Nonni for Christ's sake.

It doesn't matter that you turned the outpost back into TRUST's hands; you should never have accepted to run it or even hold it in the first place.
