Originally by: kieron Disappearing overivew settings are known and will be looked at when the Devs return to the office in a couple hours.
This issue has been known before (as I reported it) and occured regularly with major updates. Never with any explanation.
What makes you think that "looking at it" will make the deleted settings magically reappear (copying back the .dat files will just shred them again)?
My main's account just run out today and I think it'll stay like that for a while. So no more comments on the patch from me.. |

Both computers are XP with SP2
Those 3 programs are part of Norton Internet Security - so nothing to do with Eve.
However, I did notice on my system that the patch caused Norton Firewall to recognize it as a new program, and prompt for firewall configuration. Make sure you allow it if/when it prompts.
Another issue some had with the test client was their version of DirectX - might want to make sure you've got the latest version/updates.

Hurray! You guys fixed that annoying graphical bug behind projectile modules (the ugly transparent square thingy). Can't see any mention of it in the patch notes but it's definitely gone.

OK, found a bug with drones not orbiting.
Reproduce:
1. Release drones (i use 4 lights and 1 medium in the test). 2. MWD in a straight line so you outrun them. When you are 10 km from them, click "Return and orbit" and then stop your ship. 3. The drones will approach your ship, but get stuck in a blob about 2300m from the ship and not orbit. Clicking "Return and orbit" many times doesnt help anything. Basicly you have to click "return to drone bay" and then release them again to get them to orbit.
I dont know if this worked before the patch, but i think so... didnt notice it before, and now i noticed it right away.

As a veteran of several online patches (I used to work in banking networks) I just have to say, phenomenal job! Yes the patch time went over. Yes there were issues with the patch download and some code issues. But to deploy an entire code branch in 16 hours? You guys get to wear the big red "S". Thanks for all the hard work. --- After things go from bad to worse, the cycle will repeat itself. |

I hope this hasn't been posted yet - only read the first and last page and looks mostly like whiners, no genuine bug reports. So:
When installing BPO's for production, the job fails because 'you don't have enough of xxx material'. I most certainly do have xxx of the material, in fact I have xxx^6 of it.
This happens for all BPO's, T1 and T2. Could devs look into it when you get a sec please?
I'm installing from corp hanger and pointing to the corp 'material' hanger for input and 'marketing' hangar for output (as always).
Please let me know if you require more detailed information.

I have updated both clients on my system (win XP SP1) and both are running stable with no (clientside) problems so far. If the few glitches (overview, fonts, etc...) are ironed out, i give CCP two thumbs up for this deployment.
Back to the patch-front ;)

Please bring back Courier Missions ASAP!
These missions are the main reason I play EVE, and the main thing I concentrate on while I'm ingame. What good is it to offer thousands of strictly kill missions?
Two accounts with nothing to do = no reason to bother being here...
Bad move CCP!

Just wanted to say the UI seems more snappy. Opening a dropdown of my assets with a hanger full of gear (100+ items) would normally lag a bit before opening. Very snappy now. Market seems to browse faster. We came out the other end of this patch with some scrapes and scratches but stronger in the end. Great job.

Courier missions are a necessity in this game! I suggest a few hotfixes to return the to EVE immediately. Those of us that rely on these missions to earn our isk are unfairly affected by this change! Please bring them back CCP... |

When I try to place a sell order for an item via Market the descrption text appears *vertically* in the sell order screen. Also, the regional average price and the difference between it and my own sell price is not displayed. I can however, still place the sell order without problems.

"To make Chinese characters displayed properly, it requires a REALLY clear type for the words. I know EVE uses 04 alike fonts for latin characters, but for Chinese, it requires Simsun, and AT LEASE 12px (or 9pt) with no filter (like sharpen / smooth in P.S.) and bold to make it clear visually. Or otherwise, everthing just screw up and made a mess in my chat channel."
Hmm this is perhaps a good thing. I mean it in the sense, if poor font rendering is negatively affecting not only the western font readability ... if there's one thing that can maybe make CCP overhaul their font rendering, it's collective complaints from Chinese player base about problems they're having with the fonts, in their beta -.o
