Nice patch. Installed it Wednesday and most everything seems slick.
One little thing though that sticks out to me now, is the format for distance on the overview. May I suggest (if it hasnÆt been already in the last ten pages I didnÆt read) that it is far easier to quickly read a distance written as æ23 kmÆ than one written as æ23kmÆ (or 8209 m vs. 8209m) Add all that mishmash of numbers and letters up to a whole overview and frequent squinting soon ensues. I checked an old screenshot and it used to have a space. (Vision is 20/15 btw on a 19Æ LCD in its native res, so it isnÆt æcause IÆm blind.) No big deal but it could go on a æwould be niceÆ list of fixes.
(The courier runner outcry couldÆve been avoided by an earlier announcement of that Tuesday plan youÆve got posted up now. Personally I was expecting no less than 2 weeks to a (or) month(s) at best for restoration of balance to the universe. I was probably one of the more optimistic ones with that assumption.)

Is each mission suppose to replay over and over, on average, since the patch, ive done only 2 different missions over and over for more than 12hrs of play time now

reprocessing ammo:
if i have 4 stacks with 100 units of ammo in them each, it will show in the right click menu that 400 items are to be reprocessed instead of 4. the reprocessing works as expected though.
this also affects missiles, and may affect hybrid ammo/laser crystals/cap booster charges.
i've bugreported it

And how exacly isn't 400 units of ammo = 400 items? That's how it's always worked, with ore as well. That you need a certain 'batch' number to reprocess hardly changes the number of items, eh?

did anything "capital" get fixed? so many bugs and yet this was supposed to be a big patch with fixes and optimizations? yet fighters still will not mwd back... while other drones do... and a number of other issues still there

I've run into an interesting problem. Using a recon frigate I fit probe launcher and cloaking device. Fly out to some random location. Attempt to launch probes while cloak is active. I know you shouldn't be able to. It will post a message about being unable to launch probes while cloaked. A moment later the probe launcher is empty of ALL of it's probes. Poof gone noda, into the ether they go! The do not appear in the cargo hold or in space.
This has been tested by 2 other corp m8's.

I had a few other overview issues come up.
One is that a couple hostile NPC ships (sansha's) were displayed with red text, but a white size icon. And after being destroyed, they did not dissapear from the overview. At one point I had 5 NPC's on the overview, but none were actually present.
It has been very unresponsive to change in status of player ships as well. If you have it set that gang members aren't shown, and somebody else enters into the gang, they will remain on the overview until you close/re-open it.
Another time I jumped through a gate, and after entering the system I did not get any of the distances to objects while cloaked. After uncloaking, all the distances showed up normally. At first, I thought it was a new change and I found it interesting, but this only happened a couple times.
And as a curiosity, were the lighting effects or something else on the ship skins changed at all? I can't place the exact difference yet, but they look different. A bit sharper and better lit I think.
The whole system also feels more responsive. Less delay when going through mail, markets and a lot of things that usually have a bit of lag to them.

I've found that this is only the case if you have more than one overview category open.
If you only have one category open at a time I didn't notice this bug. When you have more than one category open (Ships and Structures in this example), the display resets and you have to re-scroll down to (de)select another item from that category. In this case I had Ships open and was (de)selecting items from Structures and had to scroll down to begin the process again everytime something was (de)selected.
Simply closing the Ships category solved the problem. I tried it again with other categories and the same problem existed.
Nothing huge, but a pain if you don't know or figure out the workaround, especially in light of overview settings being reset.

There is a new system, called "Trossere" connected to "Vittenyn" after the patch. This is deep inside the Gallente sovereignty. The ingoing and the outgoing gate of "Trossere" are the caldari gate models and NOT the gallente! All others gates around the Sinq Laison region are Gallente gates.
I know this is a minor bug but i hope it will be fixed soon!

Use the free tool Pingplotter to check your connection. A few pilots reported a lot of packet loss yesterday. If you're routed past the same half-dead boxes, you might be able to poke your ISP. --*=*=*--

"If a ship cloaks while it is being locked, the lock cycle is not broken. The cloaked ship will then decloak when the cycle completes."

So the intended behaviour seems to be the old behaviour. If you cloak before lock is complete, lock will be broken (but this is currently bugged).

I've noticed a few issues with cloack too.
I cloaked when speeding to a jet can and when within 5000m's of it the module quite rightly deactivated and I couldn't reactivate due to it needing to recharge. What did happen that was weird was that my view still showed me as cloaked!
A quick trip to a rat belt and they locked me ok. Hung out near a gate at sniping distance but my calls in local "can you see me?" went unheeded but as I was in low sec at the time I guess that's understandable.
Attempted to cloak again and the ship model entirely disappeared! Then on uncloak all returned to normal.
I'll try to reproduce this and if I can formally report it.
RE cloaking whilst being locked. I agree that you have always been able to do this and that only when you are locked can you not cloak. Hence the recharge time, to give those ships you are uncloaking in front of time to lock you fully before you hide again.

Same here. Both nights since the patch I've had 4-5 "connection lost" after several weeks of their being pretty rare. Usually happened to both clients which suggests a comms issue, but usually I've been able to reconnect without rebooting the router which suggests the connection isn't actually dropping. It could be the line, but it's a remarkable coincidence if the fault exactly aligned with the new patch. Has the new patch perhaps lowered its acceptable thresholds for determining "lost" connections?

I too have had a number (about 4) of CTD's since the patch. Before the patch CTD's were extremely rare on my system.
My warp sounds are also missing.

A bug with reloading weapons has reappered.
This bug activates when one or more weapons are already reloading automatically, having been emptied, and the player then manually selects the reload all option.
What follows is all weapons go into an reloading attempt but they never complete the cycle. They will continue flashing and not reload until their action is broken by manually dragging one of the weapons icons to a different slot. They can then be reloaded manually, one at a time.
If this happens, the reload all option will be broken until the UI is reset by docking or jumping.

Another overview related issue:
1. If you create a container preset but have friendly ships (gang, corp and alliance) disabled in your overall overview settings then friendly containers (i.e. your loot drops) are not being shown on the overview (i.e. containers are clasified as ships).
Insurance related issues:
1. Insurance expiry notice is not given before you open the insurance section in a station. Plus Insurance expiry is date/time stamped with the moment you open the insurance section in a station.
*. Have insurance expire on your ships, buy a new ship one week later, open insurance section in order to insure the new ship and you'll receive the insurance expiry notices.
2. Insurance expiry notice doesnot state which ship lost it's insurance.
*. Open one of the above created insurance expiry notices and you'll note that no info is given on which ship the insurance ran out on (might have to do with shipname changed, or ship being repackaged and assembled). ----------------------------------------------- The BIG Lottery |

I have already bugreported this issue so many times (with screenshots) that no, I am not going to do it again.
Plz, tell to the decision makers that (in case they didn't know, which I seriously don't think, eh?) there are some fonts that are universally used on the net for their main characteristic: readability. What is the problem in just using, for instance, a standard VERDANA font? Seriously, what is the problem ?
Or make the font selectable from a list.
Or just give us back the opportunity to replace the fonts: why did u take that away? What unnominable exploits did this possibility lead to?

I still have "unknow server" so I have been unable to get in the game since the dragon patch. Win XP SP2 no router, cable modem. cache cleared. No customer service to help....auto replues do not count.
I'd call that a fatal error.Its going to be fatal to ccp's wallet pretty soon.

I haven't seen a Dev post or I might have overlooked the thread but please stop gate queuing. I'm not sure if this was an accident or an actual "feature" but it makes EvE a tedium to play.
Imagine you have some buddies 2 jumps away (real scenario that happend last night) and they say hey we are camping and have some incoming hostiles. So I get my Crow and start trying to travel into a .4 and then .3 before hitting 0.0. Well I get stuck in the first system with 14 people for roughly 15 - 20 minutes. I jump through and then get stuck in the next system for another 20 minutes. By the time I reach my friends 45 minutes had passed and the enemies are long gone and I have spent an hour doing notthing but waiting at a freaking gate.
For me $12 dollars or whatever I pay is not worth sitting in a system looking at a gate for an hour. If EvE is too populated and this feature is going to stay as is I guess it was a good ride and EvE will no longer be fun to play in my eyes.

I have identified a couple of issues:
1. My skill in training (Minmatar Cruiser Lvl V) is counting down the time to complete, however my skillpoints have not increased since the patch, either in the charactersheet or logging into My Character from this website.
2. Fitting a Tracking Computer II does not apply an optimal range bonus.
HEEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!
I have tried a fresh install but no joy.
What should I do next?

VFR - try stopping your training and then starting it again. The skill points in your profile only update when u change skill training(or stop training). It has always been like this.

You can only see your updated skillpoints if you e.g. switch to another skill and then back to your previous. Your total skillpoints are not updated while training a skill!! This is normal... ____________________ Community Manager of EVE-World.de EVE-World
