We all know there are bad lag issues. I just wish CCP would stop blaming our connections and computers on their shortcomings. JUST FIX THE DAMN THING.

And after today's server reboot, one has to wonder WTF is really going on.
I really enjoy Eve, but its unbearable and dangerous sometimes...getting into a fight with NPC rats and not being able to warp out. Come on...that should never happen. 
Anyways...let's hope for better days.

Yes there where serious issues in the curse region for about 2-3 hours before the server was shutdown and for a good 2 hours before that there where jump queues of 2-3 minuets between systems that where completely empty or had 2-3 people in them.
On the other hand it made gatecamping much easier as people instaed to the gate and then had to wait for 2-3 mins!

What are you talking about? the game is great!
I LOVE the choppy gameplay (ie. take 30sec to move an item from cargo to hanger), "take 5 minutes to load the game," "disconnect every 10minutes," a skill window that doesn't respond and says "completion immenent" for the last hour or two, modules that won't go offline, chat windows that pause for a 2min then explode with a conversation that was missed, 'show info windows' that open but don't show any info, and let's not forget the wonderful in-game browser that only works on pages written for it. etc.

Tell TomB to get out the nerfbat and aim towards this lag issue.
i Lose ships all the time and it interferes with my ISK making as i have to wait to get it back up to two weeks... how am i gonna make iskies?

CCP Read this whole tread, and respond!!!
You Owe us that much at least, since your damn sure not giving us the product we are paying for anymore. We dont pay to train skills for ships we cant afford to loose to Programing / Server issues, we dont pay to stare at the walls of the stations because we cant fit or undock, untill 30mins AFTER the button has been (pushed/dragged/whatever)

Last night, five min. before SD i lost a ship against NPC.
why they work and my ship didn't??? No chances at all
No warp, no missiles, no guns.......

Ok its all very clear people, the game has some serious lag issues and is almost unplayable.
But be a little reasonable now.
19 Pages of non-stop complaining about the gameplay is absurd.
Just take it for now or just cancel your subscrition and take a brake for a while.
Nobody is forcing ppl to play and pay for the game its all of your own free will.
So don`t like it at the moment, just leave.
Lets give CCP a break now and wait till 1 or 2 november when the hardware upgrade comes.
Than see after that how the game play will be.
Btw** All the complainers here on the forum actually don`t have the balls to quit. Your just to addicted to the game.

Sorry bud, but some people pay for the game in larger than 1 month increments. I payed for 6 months right before Dragon patch... Bad timing? You betcha. Can't stop paying? I already did, but it doesn't mean CCP doesn't need to fix their game just because they got their money beforehand.
Now, if they actually fix the code I'm sure I'd be happy to pay and play some more.

Getting really bad. How do you survive waiting for a gate in low sec? I waited 5 minutes for a gate in high sec and thought I'd lose my mind. And that was from an empty system to another empty system.
Guess low sec is out of the question now. Besides, a fleet battle or gate camp for me would be a flash and "...so you have died..." due to the lag. How do you survive out there? I mean i wouldn't be able to even sit at a gate. If I did I just lag out the minute someone warped in.
This morning, I just can't believe the lag. What ever happened last night to the server has done some serious damage imo
Really just disappointed in the game. It takes me so long to learn a game, that I'd hate to have to find another one and start all over.

Unfortunately there isn't RL currency insurance in EVE in case of customer dissatisfaction.

- it tooks ages to get modules working
- npc aren't at distance and position as the client shows so drones and turrets dont work properly
@ Blank Protection:
since I start playing EVE CCP did
- restrict drone usage to 5 drones (under normal circumsances)
- bought new hardware
- restrict copying bookmarks
to fight the lag but it didn't change anything. After each step it's getting more and more worse instead that one of things above make the game more playable. On the other hand, a lot more players are online as a few month ago so the effect of improvement maybe gets lost.
Anyway... now CCP is buying new hardware again and all should be better now?
I can't imagine that (but i hope  ). So I absolutly agree the other people who say: I dont need new features, I need the game more playable. And tbh I can't understand your point of view. Replying this post shows that it's not a problem of the players computer or the "slow" connection.

I've read pages 16, 17, 18 and 19 of this thread while waiting to undock. And I dont mean skim through or read over, I mean like a cup of coffee, 7 mins plus to actually read and... yup.. still not undocked yet.

This i get some times. so you cannot log in a station anymore. Never had that in other online games I played. Eve is getting more and more laggier and more and more we get sitation like queing for this and that.

I say f*ck all your new ships and equipment. The game is to unstable and inforcing nodes is uselessly slow.
Why not think ahead?? 10 new nodes? get 50!
Cannot wait for patch day, wonder how long 'overtime' they going to spend fixing all the problems they going to just find 10 seconds after patch.

In the hour I've been playing so far today, lag has forced me to restart the client five times. I nearly lost my brand-new Thorax because of it!
Hell, even the EVE website isn't working properly.

Wholeheartedly agree with the primary post. In the last two days I have been seriously considering uninstalling and walking away from EVE, cancelling both of my year-long subscriptions and calling it a net loss of a few hundred dollars. The reason for this is the completely unacceptable lack of server stability, and constant deluge of canned apologies from the development team.
"Server down, deeply sorry for any inconvenience" Gaaah.
It isn't a matter of convenience that the game server should function in a stable manner at all times. It's the single, primary, basic, elemental reason I pay money to play the game. I don't pay for the privilege of being a beta tester, and I really don't care if there are gee-gaw new features just around the corner. In the real world, that's called "vaporware", and it's also not what I paid for.
I lost my entire day's mining effort yesterday due to the crash. I don't expect to be reimbursed for several weeks. I can't keep the connection to the server alive for more than a few minutes at a time, so this game is completely unplayable right now. I fix computer networks for a Big 10 university for a living, so I know my network is 100 percent functional here. Losing minerals isn't NEARLY as bad as losing the confidence that I could go out and mine them again successfully.
Without confidence in the basic server stability, it's hard to convince myself to mount the effort to do anything in game, and discouragement is setting in like gangrene here for my friends and me. I don't want an apology. I want change.

Set a 30 day training time skill just in case. With their track record lately, this is almost not sarcastic.
