Abaddon Doomhammer	Posted - 2006.10.31 08:20:00 - [1] I lost a raven last night and in a pretty crappy way. I'd like to see how others have lost their ships too! So I took a corp member out ratting in our home system to help him make some cash. I took my fully t2 fitted raven out and went to the belt. Everything was going fine until I fell asleep at my keyboard only to wake up sitting in my pod....190m down the drain. I got popped by a sansha lord and a few frigates.

slothe Caldari Forsaken Empire	Posted - 2006.10.31 08:32:00 - [4] Edited by: slothe on 31/10/2006 08:32:20 after an evil bout of attacking mission runners in low sec by probing them out i found my latest target and warped to the mission gate in my raven. i scanned the mission (lvl 4 worlds collide) and saw the target. i warped in and landed in the middle of all the mission rats. ok so wheres the target?.... gah, no target, get locked down by all the rats, flashy flashy, the frigates move in. click click click warp out pleeeeasee.... w00t warped out im safe. hold on whats that bubble thing oh **** where did all my shield and armour go? warp out warp out....pop DOH after all that killed by a POS :/

Others corpmates were screaming on other channels for me to tank, but I didn't saw it. Lost an uninsured Tempest like that. Another time, back when I was a 4-months old noob in a brand new BS, and when NPC Spawns were actually dangerous, I broke myself my own alignement to warp out by spmming defenders. At that time using them was the equivalent of bumping yourself... ------------------------------------------ Nuhwall: Why are some Amarr ships warping backward? Shadowsword: whatever happen, if they need to flee they can honestly say the faced the enemy.
Nyobe Caldari	Posted - 2006.10.31 08:36:00 - [7] i mined Dark ochre (crok and bistot allready gone and i wanted to strip ochre, too) with my hulk at night. Hardeners running, shield boosters not running. for over 1 hour there wasn't any beltspawn and i did not want to cycle the strip miners because it's work... After some time i went from the computer over to the couch to watch the last minutes of some movie. TFT and TV are in one line of sight. Then i felt asleep... 15 minutes later i woke up... and saw my mining alt in pod. I was really **ed so i went over to the PC and turned it off... next morning i thought "** i didn't check killmail for the gist a-type booster". The booster survived and i didn't loot it

Oeh actually that reminds me, a loooongggg time ago when i still used to mine for 'fun' i once lost an uninsured apoc because i forgot to turn on my armor reps and didnt pay too much attention to the hud after that... result... killed by 3 sansha frigates... Never used to see a soul on those routes until one time I tab back to eve and theres BE ravens shooting at me. Back in the day I wanted to see if nos would work on a can so I nossed someones can at a gate in empire and got blown up by sentries. I remember another time in huzzah when a fix gang jumped into FAT in frig gang mostly interceptors. Someone decided to pop a cyno up at a pos and the whole fix gang warped to it. Looked like a gang warp. It would suck to be that gang leader

Anywho, I get caught up reading a post and I notice somthing red out of the corner of my eye. I look back to the screen and see my apoc into structure becuase I didn't switch on my tank. Luckily I get into warp with about 10% structure left. However given the npcs are fairly easy and it was a good few jumps back to the nearest station I decide to repair my armour and continue on. So I warp back to another belt and get on with some reading again. A few short minutes there's a blue flash on my screen and I see my pod sitting next to me can. Forgot to turn my tank on...again I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

And I run winamp in the background often aswell. When I'm playing eve tiredly I like to pull over in a safe spot every 5 or 6 systems. Stop, Revive, Survive.

Had to go AFK to sort something quick, cloaked and went. Took longer than I thought, and returned to find NPCs had spawned <2km away, decloaking me, and very slowly killing my T2 fitted raven. Similar situation when I warped in on a POS in a covert, bounced off the shield and decloaked. Warped away quick to the first warpable, which turned out to be another POS :/ ON one occasion after seeing a hostile fleet put a friendly pos into re-inforced, I noticed that a few T2 drones had been left behind. So I bimbled over there for my free isks. Forgot that 'friendly POS' doesn't necessarily mean it won't shoot you, especially when it's recently been set to 'kill everyone' because it was under attack.

Had to go afk for what I thought would be a minute, turned out to be 20 minutes. When I got back. 2x 8k and a 10k frigate had blown my megathron up. Apparently after 5 minutes or so your tank turns off ( or atleast it did back then ) for some reason ( cap wasn't it ) those npcs spent a lot of time killing my thron, cause it blew up only a minute or so before I got back. And it was uninsured. Learned from that though. Never lost a ship to stupidity after that. ( was almost 3 years ago or so, long time in any case )

My first domi was a tough one.. Doing mish way back in the day in my first BS .. webbed scrambled nossed slowly chewed out with my drones out of control .. ofcourse that's a long time ago :) I lost a domi this year in a horrible way: Doing a mission with an non-corp alliance m8.. Lovely t2 fitting.. We were doing great till there were just 3 cruisers left.. I just let them aggro me, let my drones have fun, he was missile spamming in his ferox, so I thought lets start the looting with my shiny tractor beam wheee One cruiser left, I activated my nos on him only to have him explode at the same time (nice wave of heavy missiles and salvo t2 drones can have that effect) so I nossed a can .. wrong can.. concord was coming.. I dumped my cargo and had the drones orbit to save them .. managed to tank concord for 37 secs.. poof Getting concordokened over nossing a can is my personal worst way to lose a 150M domi.. - All the stuff above does not necessarily reflect my corp, my alliance or even me - Pure drone user... give us a mini carrier and faction Typhoon and Dominix please

While going to blow up Serpentis rats. Then jumping into a BoB camp with both my main and a scout, and getting both killed. ZE IRONY SHE IS NOT LOST NO? I got my alts killed loads of times afk at gates, nothing new there. A good one was waking up after leaving covert at a gate 150km off at a random spot, someone in a inty had managed to stumble on the spot where i was and popped and podded me. Cloaks got very expensive shortly after... I lost a couple of Apocs as a noob to rats in belts, lost loads to lvl4 missions with 6m skillpoints, loads of geddons to ganks when drunk, Zealots to who are now corpmates...all fun and laughter

Was ratting in a Belt - there was a neutral in local - sitting in the station for the past hour or so so i didn`t classify him as a threat .... Suddenly he warps in on me - in what i think was a Lachesis Recon Ship. He sensor dampens me - I am unable to target anything (i could target him when he was at 5km tho - only took 150 seconds to lock too). No big harm done, he released drones, i released some light drones, he recalls his ... this goes back and forth a bit. Me beeing in a Nosdomi with ECM ... (and beeing too stupid to use my Drones properly which would have saved my life) Then i hear his mates popped up in the next system harassing my corpmates there and i knew they were coming for me next ... sure thing, they appeared in local and warped on top of me. And here it comes ... basically my thinking was "Well, ship is gone anyway ... lets safe the pod" ejected and warped to the station ... Only then it dawned on me that they could STEAL the ship and i would propably not see any insurance payout ... SIGH Now thats one mistake i`m never going to make again ... Captain never leaves his ship - now i know why - he wants the insurance ;)

I was in FIX and i had gone out to AD solo in my raven which at the time seemed like a good idea. I warped to the empire low sec gate there and encountered AF, neutral, but a target none the less. So i open fire and OMGWTF! my torps hit him for fk all dmg! i hit him for about 25dmg a torp! and he had me scrammed! this went on for a while until the gate activated, and a friend of his appeared in a TI cruiser to also help shoot me down. so after a lot of shouting on TS someone told me it about the missile nerf and guys were on there way to bail me out. After about 20mins of trying to take the two guys down i still wasnt having much joy.....the AF was actually tanking me..........:o( Suddenly my cap dies, and they start chewing through my armour. the guys coming to save me are one jump away, just as they jump into sys to come save me.......poof......i go down like a cheap ***. Lesson there is always read the patch notes, your raven may no longer be uber, especially if you dont have any of the new skills they released.

I 3-4 volleyed him(thats 10-15s). At least we agreed that his setup sucks . (cloak survived luckily) Remove flashes from capital torps.

I was running courier missions in my all-I-owned-in-the-world-then Vexor when I got attacked by 2 Thugs at a gate. And they got too close and my railguns couldn't hit them but no problem, I thought, I have a smartbomb fitted. So BOOM! Bye bye Thugs. Except ... what's that very loud machine-gun-like sound? And what's happening to my shields... armour ... hull... Oh hang on, how close was that jump-gate and those sentry guns when I hit the smartbomb? Ah. Oops... - It's great flying Amarr, aint it?

He thinks 'bugger' but decides to make a run to the gate. After spending 5 minutes crawling to the gate, he's nearly within jump range, when he decloaks and is promptly shot up. Apparently he forgot to turn biomass on in his overview and was decloaked by a dead body from a previous victim.

Had a Station locked & for some unknown reason i hit F1 Shiny new Tempest lasted a few seconds with concord spanking my butt and the poor corp member I was showing thought it would be a good idea to shoot at concord to try and help!! Both in Pods.. Noob cussing me & I'm sat there with head in hands, wondering why the hell i did what i just did ______________________________________
