Maybe it's just me who's stupid and don't understand how to open the first page of a thread, does someone know if there is a setting or something I could change to open the first page by default instead? And while on the subject of settings I'd like to be able to disable the warnings about external pages.

Quote:Problem 2:Do you write on A4 paper in vertically aligned at center as well? People read from left to right, top to bottom. Not from center to bottom. INSIDE A CELL, dammit. Do you write on TOP of the area of non-white paper, or do you write in the middle (or even the bottom) of the guidelines ?
Quote:Problem 3: For easier reading. Don't need to cramp text making cell height same as font height. It's not late 90's, I don't want my eyes to bleed out with no CSS adjustments. Then give us different built-in options for those. I don't like the new ones, and I don't want to have to migrate my custom ones from browser to browser anywhere I go. Even just a few presets would be ok.
Quote:Problem 4: It's not harder to read, it's hard for you to get used. There's no difference between those two statements. If it's harder to get used to, it's harder to read, period.
Quote:Problem 5: There are gazillion reasons why. I think one of the main reason - CCP doesn't want new pilots read/search topics that are 5+ years old that are useless now because everything has evolved and changed? Right, because displaying results in CHRONOLOGICAL order would be also insanely difficult. Or putting a cut-off option for time. |

Quote:To sum up, this is just "i'm used to that, I don't like this new" whining. Man up, drink some concrete and always be free to try something new. CCP - great job! Oh really ? Because I thought it's a "here's a few things that suck that you can EASILY FIX and then I'll be happy" thread.
SIDENOTE : You are now limited to 5 quotes per post. This is why this is now a double post instead of a single post. Screw you, CCP. Screw you. |

Just be glad its up and running so they can code the stuff you want and not on the back bone itself. I think the search fuction is still messed up though. Hope they get it straighted out soon. |

P1: Typical new age formatting. It's lame but there it is, I don't think they will ever change it unless they do a EVE Gate wide redesign.
P2: What is this, I don't even-?
P3: Yes please, allow me to set 20, 50, 100 posts per page.
P4: Seems readable to me, but meh.
P5: Out with the old in with the new? Backends might be proprietary or something so they can't just copy one to the other.
P6: Could probably do without the space wasting mega QUOTES, but not atypical for new age forums.

P8: Max vertical space? Ugh, thanks guys.
P9: Can I has my middle click back? damnit |

Argh, EVERYTIME a public side changes its design, there is so much whine about
uhhhh, i cant read this. +ñhhhh, this is ugly. iiihhh, i like the old one.
The Design is "great". The readability is "perfect" and some "glitches" - Yeah, they appear within EVERY new project. Nothing unusal.
There is totally "no" reason, why the forum should span 100% of the page.
NOW i have a text-box, that is EXACTLY as width, as the post will be, means the formatting i do will be presered. Even if i enter manual line-breaks (not typing everything in one line) My Posts will now fill the WHOLE post, nut just the left 1/3 as before.
thumbs up for that - something all boards should do, tbh.

Absolutely massively MAJOR showstopper for me:
Using latest Firefox 4, when I middle click on a thread title on the thread view pages, instead of actually opening the link in a new tab, I get the scroll up/down icon and instead am able to scroll up/down the page.
can haz fix please? |

Hello,
As new forums rolled out today, should we start a suggestion thread saying what we'd like to see added? It's probably much easier to edit/add stuff now rather to a previous 7-8 year old forum. Let's keep this thread clean
Suggestions:
- Add duplicate post/thread check. I already double posted by accident, and saw several double threads. It's easy to implement and add.
- Ability to delete own thread/post. There's an argument here if that should be allowed at all, but it's up to CCP to decide, I just suggest.
Again, let's keep this thread clean. Suggestions only

Back on topic : It's not like we have not complained about most of these things for months. Yet somehow, the forums went live with everything ignored. |

u need to use the "middle" click on the "Text" that links to the board. not just on the highlighted row. The highlighted row click will trigger the next page using (asumming) javascript.
Overall Firefox didn't "know", that you clicked a link.
Click on the text and everything is fine. |

Personally, I think the new forums look rather nice. I do agree that there could be some improvements though. Enabling images is one thing that comes to mind. I'm not seeing the massive problems that Akita and other's are describing. Perhaps it is how I have my browser set up, or the actual browser I'm running that is the difference. |

Definitely need to widen the forums. If you want to make them readable on a iphone or mobile then make a mobile version for them just like every other site. |

Perhaps they are busy doing important things instead of messing about with SpaceBook. Just a thought. Most of these "concerns" were posted on every test version of the forums so far. If they had nothing better to do than "work on SpaceBook", how about they should leave the old forums alone as they are now until they get these new ones working up to snuff ?
What I said was that they probably had more important things to do, not that they had nothing better to do. And to be honest, Id rather have this simple one that works within SpaceBook than the ugly mess of the older ones. |

On the subject of backgrounds for the forums, I'd like to see user selectable themes. It's a small complaint, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds the Nation ships an eyesore. Let's get some nice themes up, maybe for factions and such. |
