[9] - Quote So I am normally very understanding, but . . . . . . . . This is our fourth long downtime in from memory what a week? We had two scheduled ones and two emergency ones. Now I get that when big changes happen sometimes things break and we need unscheduled downtimes to fix things, but a little warning would be nice. Not to mention I had just finished typing a lot of **** and have lost it all. Wahoo Given I haven't received responses too two support tickets one now for over a week, and it better not take as long as one of my last ones that took over a month. No just no. During these days CCP is upgrading the server hardware and this is the reason for that **** happening. In gw2 you just wouldn-¦t recognize it happen due to server instancing what is not possible here. Give it a few days and the devs will have handled it. |

Please note as someone who has been playing for about 6 years or more now ( i have lost count P ) It is not usually like this, in fact the last time I remember it being like this was back in the first few years or so. They are doing some major back end upgrades at the moment that is causing these issues I would assume that in a few weeks a month or so at the most it will be back to good old normal 20 minute down times, so don't loose hope :) |

Next week, move the cones, start with the left lane, weeks later, move the cones, do the right lane. Then they tear it up again to fix a pipe that was broken during the initial work. Sometimes I wish they'd just close the road for three days and fix it all at once.. lol. I'm sure you'll all get it handled soon. |

When another custommer adresses an issue with accountmanagement it gets closed and forwarded to this post which just states the current status of tranq and says nothing about the issues to account management. Reset cache and have had to run Repair.exe a few times to log in. PC is fine. Can type on the other screen and copy and paste, can't right click and "Enter" to send a message saying I will be right back however. With large software applications things go wrong, especially when you make changes. I've played EVE less than a year, but I've seen more problems with extended/unannounced down times in that period than I have ever seen in any other MMO game that I've played. They really need to raise the bar in a lot of areas. I wanna join up. I think I got what it takes to be a Citizen. |

Docking up with my ships and undocking is confirmed, left top screen changes to the typical view that u have in space, but the space isnt visible. Instead of this the station view remains and a few mins later a "Server Delayed" message appears. I think it makes no sense to start any critical flights. The system isnt stable and I dont want to login, lost my ship and write to CCP more than once. When the servers are up again I will put my chars into the retirement mode: Staying in station and waiting. |

Anytime any game has unexpected downtime and I log back in to play I expect to see a few intermittent problems for at least an hour, if in an hours time it seems stable then I believe we're golden. Now the problems with people having actual issues with stuff going haywire that isn't from flying around and being less than intelligent about it right after a problem do deserve some compensation above getting their stuff restored. If this were some unplanned bug exploit I might think otherwise , but it was planned out for weeks and from what I read it was a hardware upgrade. This could have been tested many times. Also consider that with your assumption you failed to factor in 1 plex for all active players. As this would be a massive blow to the economy within the game the value would shift drastically. In no way shape or form can you actually logically use this argument as there is not 1 plex per player. Valuation is valuation. 1b isk for all eve players for 6hrs of downtime is not remotely possible because of the limitations of the market and volume of plex. Plex has no real world value. Its a generated in game item. You pay for the service of its creation. |

I planned my jumps today to finish before DT with 5hrs of fatigue, so when I get back to the game in the evening, I will have no fatigue. I am sure they already did that, but as you might have noticed tranquility is always running fine for a few hours before it gets unstable. So the problem is related to the larger number of players actively doing their every day business. Although mass test events on test servers can trigger some of those possible problems it for sure won't be all of them. On test servers people just hang around for 1 or 2h... not half a day... the amount of players is still smaller and also they are primarily shooting each other and aren't market trading, mining, hauling, ratting or whatever else could trigger some bugz. |

Move to Linux/BSD. I also believe that EVE server should be recoded in such way that can be spread on geographical clusters just like Akamai CDN so the load can be balanced over continents. So, stop whining and wait for the guys to stabilize the new system. Right now i am frustrated because i want to buy some AUR and the online store is down :D |
