blahblahblah ecuses and spins
They had a policy in place for GM's, not Devs, and the Senior staff wasn't present at the time, atleast thats my understanding. You're right he should have been fired, but he wasn't - QED
yep, what we all expected, nothing but moonwalking away from the questines and no answers other then "ccp said so so it must be da twuuuuth <sucking sounds>.
(spin that as a personal attack now, go for it, pithetic)
How about you let CCP talk for themselves...many have asked nicely for you to STFU and let ccp answer....unless as I said, you ARE ccp.
(that rule, was for all ccp employees, not just a gm, and that means ccp failed to enforce their own rules, no excuses will work there. I work with IT law daily, and their publicly displayed policy had CCP covered 100% even if they were to have fire 'someone')
ohhhh and as to claims ccp deletes and covers up...are you that oblivious? have you not seen it happen as so many others have? jeeeez...<waitng for the next puff of smoke to be blown up my ...>
Look are you that caught up in your own agenda to attack CCP? "ccp said so, so it must be da twuuuuth" - The only answer you will ever get, is from CCP or other players, and if neither is the truth, you'll never get ANY answer you're going to like.
CCP spoke for themselves, and you closed your ears going "lalalalala not the answer I want lalalalalalala, you must plead guilty falalalalala". You're going to be caught in this circle forever, because CCP is never going to be able to answer your question, simply because unless they give you the exact answer you want, you'll close your ears again.
Many, and actually mostly by now, have asked that you conspiracy theorists and tinfoil hat mentality people stop and move on with your life. If you don't believe me look at who writes in here...3..4 people, me included. - New sig in the workings -Knowledge is a priviledge, not a right - ....*steals a cookie from the ISD cookie yarr* >_> |

After 23 pages and millions of dead brain cells that were brutally beat to death I think we can say what has been said has been said.
If you are going to make statements you need to back them up with facts that provide a full meaning.
CCP is not stupid they can spin things any way they want to with top of the line practical business models. Players do the same thing eveybody looks out for number one.
CAN we offically say now we have heard all the questions and now the time is to see what actions have been taken or will be taken to go on from here.
Also it would be nice if a post was made every quarter stating how many accounts (not names) that we honestly banned or shut down due to misconduct and cheating. At least give the illusion that something to stop the madness is going on.

yes, do heed the part about letting ccp talk...meaning you should stfu and let them...unless you are ccp....are you?
I mocked your spin on things, a spin using the BS smoke screen FUD ccp spouted that has so many peeved...because of the favoritism and cover up they are still acting out. I guess that sarcasm escaped you...
It only takes talking to their customers, enforcing the rules on all, the same, to get the customers to trust ccp is not going to favor anyone or any group, and will fire ANY employee that violates that trust.
So in closing, let CCP answer, stop your smoke blowing and just let them answer, or is that too much for you, do you HAVE to keep blowing smoke for them (are you a ccp employee or volunteer? ).

I think the only reason people won't stop posting the same queries over and over is they worry CCP is just waiting for this to fade away like other issues have.
I encourage people to not let this matter be forgotten and the questions go unanswered. It is in their own best interest to ensure nobody cheats them and is allowed to do so, no matter who it is.

I've done no smoke blowing, and let them answer just fine. All I've done is pull their OWN answers infront of you. They DID answer, they DID enforce the rules and they DID talk to their customers. You Sir, are NEVER going to be satisfied, because they will NEVER give you answer you want, because you're going in circles.
On one hand you claim CCP are lying/blowing smoke and that they can't be trusted, and make a mockery of anyone who believes them, while on the other hand you want answers from them. I'm sorry that's just a circulatory argument against yourself.
How about you READ their answers and their talks with their customers, and then YOU can STFU. I'm not answering for them, and I still aren't, but you're so caught up in your own little tinfoil world that just because I'm arguing in their favour, oooh I must be naive/ccp/a volunteer/fanboi ...Get over yourself and realise a few simple things:
1. CCP has already answered 2. If you don't believe CCP's answers now, you're never going to believe them anyway 3. You make yourself look silly by first making fun of people for letting CCP answer, then when people turn around a face you for it, you get upset and tell them to stfu and let CCP answer.
If you can't see your own hypocrisy, then I feel sorry for you.

eldo, this is the official IA thread. Hence the way to communicate with him. Petitioning does not work as it needs to go through other GM's first. Can i petition directly to Ark ?
If not, i respectfully request to discuss the denial of that in this very thread.
BTW be more consistent please. Mail me to ask why if you don't know.

Eldo, the problem here is that when we want to petition Dev/GM cheating (there are already new allegations rising on the matter) then I want to be sure that when I do the petition it will not end up in the hands of another Dev/GM who might just ignore it.
Dev/GM cheating petitions should only be seen by IA and because trust is a bit scarce with CCP these days it would be nice if there was a special way to contact IA on the matter that will circumvent the DEV/GM layer.
When you have suspicion of corrupt policemen in the department then you don't go to the desk officer and register a complaint, you contact the internal affairs, right?

Exactly. Although a much bigger problem is that Arkanon is on the missing persons list nowadays. Even calling him names didnt drag him out, wonder what will.
Still when my first free day arrives this year I'll start phoning up CCP and looking for information on Icelandic customer support laws.

We've been told recently that petitions are never deleted, they stay on file forever. If you file a petition and it is closed or cancelled without being resolved to your satisfaction you can request to have it escalated. If you do that, it's raised with a senior GM. I can only assume that you can repeat the process all the way to Arkanon, though I imagine if you do that frivolously you may not like the response.
In other words, no need to worry that the suspected culprit will sweep it under the rug.
However, given the primary accuser is banned, I'm not certain how he is expected to petition...

Exactly, CCP can do whatever they want, then delete all the proof that shows they're wrong and then claim they're right or just forumban the person stirring up the pooh. Thank god for eve-search and google cache.
The t-20 coverup crisis has only pushed more and more people out of the eve-o forums and has concentrated all the people that are ticked of by their actions into a few forums. There the information is unmoderated and the pooh is proven to be even stinkier than CCP could have managed if they kept it on the official forums AND !!! provided clarity AND prove of all the actions taken to prevent / handle this.
This will end badly for CCP if they do not change course dramatically.
EDIT : swearword
PS : Ark, just mail me for god's sake. How much more drama must we post before you respond ?

I'm not that familiar with the matter but I think when GM responds to a petition it's taken off from the que (the unanswered petition que).
I know if I had a workload I would not browse through list of stuff that other people are working on or worked, I would keep my eyes open on the new stuff that is still unanswered. Maybe IA looks at ALL the petitions that are active, maybe not. I dont know how the system works.
Also if say that GM is aware he is about to be exposed maybe he will have time to launder some stuff, items etc so it cant be traced back to the main account.
I would love to see CCP have a IA section that does what it is supposed to. It gets intel from a player, GM's have no ideas cause they have no access to the petition no petition title to hint at a problem.
IA starts covert investigation. GM in question keeps on doing stuff as usual until suddenly is kicked from the system and a minute later IA is standing next to his desk or phoning him to come in for a meeting. And the GM in question discovers all his alt accounts are temporarily locked as well.
Atm I feel this is all a wishful thinking and just an optimistic dream.
I wish CCP proves me wrong.

I went to the unmentionable site, read the transscript, listened to the sound files and read the rest of the thread, and quite frankly, thats a bunch of BS...None of it yields ANY solid proof or facts.
The whole thread is full of 2 kinds of people, one kind that documents it's postings, takes great meassures to ensure every aspect is covered and explained - and then theres another kind: These people just laughs at the others, calls them names and belittles them without providing ANYTHING useful to prove the others wrong.
Guess which side each is on.
And don't tell me I can't post and that I should stfu, because if ya'll can come in here and make new wild accussations, I can sure as hell give my point of view too.

Call me optomistic, but yes, I hope for some response to this. Iceland Review quotes Hilmar directly in this article. If he can talk to the media about other incidents, why can he not find someone to speak with the playerbase? I'm not asking for punishments, I'm asking about the incidents. If a GM gave people information that they used to their advantege, I'd expect CCP to come out and tell everyone that information to level the playing field. If I lost a ship because a dishonest GM decided to bug my POS, I'd like to know so I could properly petition it. As we have seen so often with EVE, access and information are directly related to power in this game. Selectively handing it out to people and then trying to cover it up and say it doesn't exist on the corporate level is what bothers most of the individuals who post here. We don't mind it if in game players find things out on their own, it is when outside aide-the Deus Ex Machina- comes into play that we have issue. Arkanon was a good first step from CCP, but if issues like this keep cropping up, we're going to need to see more and swifter public responses to the player community, not to the outside media.

No, we cant say we've heard all the questions answered, Cadela's the only one thats answered ****. Ark's quoted answers dont directly approach the answers to the questions, he dances around them.
So until we actually get the answers to those questions, then no we cant "wait for their actions" Considering how long its been since Ark even posted here, I can only assume that said actions will take at least as long :p

The funny thing is that if you create a thread in general about this matter you arent told to submit a petition (and as those take days and weeks ALREADY for regular things how much longer would this take) you are told to talk about it on this thread when yours is locked.
