I have been sitting in Iraq all year waiting for you to offer these for sale so I can have something besides E-On to sate my EVE appetite when I'm stranded from the internet for a few days/weeks. If you need more "I want one" from people in order to get this project finished, I hope this works!

I've just printed off a pack of region maps in A3 format for people at Fanfest to check-out, with the goal of having the book orderable and downloadable from the website around the 15th November.

You have no idea how much this is pleasing. EVE-O forums will not allow me to express such emmotions. 
But yes, glad we have a date to look forward to. If it's not to much of a request, after fanfest, if we can get a few scans on the eve-maps website so thous of us unable to make it to fanfest can drool on our keyboards instead over the uberness which is the eve-maps.

 People either use them or they don't, it's no problem. I love what Serenity has done though, a properly printed map is a great idea. I'll be buying one for sure.

I love Ombey's work, and use his maps often, but for ease of use a flip book would be great, i'd buy one.

I agree, except I still can't decide if I'd buy this or not, as I'd just put Ombey's maps in a binder.

Thanks :) Received a lot of good feedback on the maps at Fanfest. Having pasted a number onto the Jita tables, it was interested to see the ones Goonswarm stole from the BoB table.
Just waiting on the test-print to come back now. If all good when it arrives (1-2 weeks), a message will be sent to all eve-maps subscribers, letting them know where to order.

Looking awfully good. Much will depend on the price, but you've done a marvelous job, and that comes from a lifelong cartophile - you manage to display a large amount of information in a way that only took me about a minute to absorb. Very nice, and attractive as well.

i would definately buy this!! be it real cash or isk! really need something as good as this.
although i would love to have an actual laminated book, but the idea of updates or expansion of new systems by CCP kinda bugs me. so IMHO, an e-book account with perhaps additional features like a personal website for the user to write personal notes or even for corps to use these maps to plan hauling routes or attack plans.
but no matter what, im in :)

The only thing I don't like about Ombey's maps is that they are confusing when you try to reference them versus the in-game map. I personally will have a copy of each map, since I can keep printing Ombey's ones out if I need to change something I've written in. I'll use SS's maps for running fleets - I have an alt logged on on my 2nd monitor with the in-game map visible for searching for highlights like active players, plus SS's map on the desk for quick reference on names, routes, and easy comparison to the 2nd monitor. And I'll keep Ombey's printouts on hand for jotting trade routes down, recording POS/moon info onto, and so forth.
Two VERY excellent contributions to the community. SS's is "nicer", but also represented more effort and actually going through a formal publishing. Ombey's has all the info you need at a glance, and is easier to read, and has serious advantages with it's white background and printability.
Also SS, make sure to make available additional stickers for order, as I guarantee down the road people will start to run out unless you put in 200 extra stickers for outposts beyond what's already built ;)
