Or they're taking smaller individual contracts like they did sometime last year.

This thread is awesome, only because I know there's 3000 goons quoting this and will repeat in local constantly if MC take another contract against goons in the next few months.

The North Reloaded
Ladies and Gentlemen of EVE, it is with great pleasure tonight that I present to you the results of the Mercenary CoalitionĘs largest contract to date:
CLICK ME -->THE NORTH RELOADED<-- CLICK ME
Within you will find a detailed account of our activities and even commemorative wallpapers. We hope our client is satisfied with our performance and the casual reader enjoys it as well. Special thanks to Loxy for helping me pull all this together at the last minute.
Three months ago, if someone had told me that I would be sending this report as my ship sat safely outside of the station in BKG taking on suppliesą well, I doubt anyone would have believed it. The fact is that we never expected to be in the position we are today. In my eyes, it really came down to a question of will. We were relentless in our task of seeing this contract through. Our targets really left us no other choice.
It started out simple enough ū weĘd give BoB a hand here and there, maybe do a few Empire war decs and hope that somehow our client would be on the winning side. In the beginning, that was most certainly not a foregone conclusion. Then our priorities changed. ItĘs one thing to fight a war as a paid soldier, but when the war comes to your front door it changes your perceptions.
We knew that the possibility of MCĘs home space being attacked existed, but the reality of it actually happening awoke something inside my alliance that is hard to describe. I am, of course, referring to the attack upon our capital shipyards and the loss of a Mothership under construction there. It awoke a sense of purpose and a terrible anger. Far from being a ęwarning to stay out of itĘ, the Northern CoalitionĘs actions against us only lit the fires of vengeance in the eyes of MC pilots.
<Blah blah blah more role-player crap>
Nutshell: 99% of EVE aren't role-players and realize theres no difference why you fight for their enemies. Be it money or honor, wtf is the difference. MC and BoB are married either way. Goto war with BoB, that includes MC. Don't act all surprised and victimized cause you were attacked and had 'mercenary' in your alliance name.
Incoming denial bomb!
P.S. stop role-playing, nobody is buying it (BUT BOB LOL) _______________ Rokh vs. Hyperion

BoB gives MC their own space, similar to Davion bestowing Dragoons their own homworld. The working relationship is even similar.
I've never faulted MC for being with BoB. BoB pays the money. MC does the job. Sometimes it's not even BoB, but an individual with similar interests. MC receives income for services rendered. It's not politics. It's just good business.
Oh and great read.
A very good analogy.

Of course, if you keep running with this analogy it get's more fun!
House Davion is eventually hammered, the FedCom broken up, by an alliance of enemies, one of which had been left for dead after a major war. . .
And then the Dragoon's get nuked into basically non-existance, along with a good chunk of the rest of space.
Which means I guess I'll have to put up with RaGoon's shouting Xin Sheng(or was it fofofo).
(Honestly, it's a very valid analogy, I'm just annoyed you compared BoB to my BT faction of choice in Davion ;)
