We took 45 days from the time we broke the POS NAP we had with LV until they had pretty much dissolved. I'm not even going to try and pretend that killing LV is equatable to killing D2 and their dozen allies. I doubt that the taking of Scalding Pass, Wicked Creek, Immensea, and LV's space is even really comparable frankly, and we took much longer to do that.
Was not even trying to compare it. Two different types of fights. I just thought that it was roughly the same amount time it took.
BTW get that damn bear back were it should be, when you qouted me you didn't do it right. ---------------------------

Great write up, though I missed many of the larger battles I enjoyed flying under MC command whenever I had the opertunity, the discipline, dedication, and cooperation shown by the dozens of corperations and alliances involved was simply amazing and has givin me huge amounts of respect for the leadership and brunt force the MC provided.
I joined PANIC seemingly just as the war really started kicking off with D2s attack on Fountain. Coming from a smallish low-sec corporation where we though raising a couple dreads, a few carriers, and a 15 battlships was a massive blob like fleet the scale of this type of warfare is amazing, and it was quiet crazy to find myself in the middle of it. The past 3 or so months have been some of the most fun parts of my EVE life.

Congratulations to the MC, a well won contract, was really entertaining following your progress and every now and then opening the map to see the geography change yet again.
You guys have really shown the force that you can bring to bear, probably like that of no other alliance. You really deserve the due kudos your victories will not be quickly forgotten.
And damn I hope you were well paid...

I must agree with Phrixus on what he said. I was personally involved in the Tenal adventure (all aspects) and u depict it wrong. We lend assistance but were never invading and certainly never for a few weeks. T!ts was forced to NAP and find additional allies cuz they couldnt do it alone and TRI was never ever committed to take Tenal space and claim a outpost.
edit: Well who cares anyhow, its no more than a footnote, Hip Hip For the MC and excellence in combat!

I would have to say after fighting night after night with the late night crows that MC's motherships are in fact not the deciding factor in there puching the northern alliances out. I have lost alot of ships to them and have taken some but all in all they execute there plans very well and there support is wuite percistant in its determination to keep fighting. After killing the same intercepter pilot 2 times in the same night he was back with T1 frigs still tackling for the larger ships. I was just a pure miner before this whole thing brought itself to my doorstep but it was a fun fight with very honerable adversaies. My hat goes off for you for a very exectuted game plan on your part and some of the funnest times i have had in eve. Even though i am still trying to piece together my pod.
Cheers,

This was a great contract with many ups and downs <cough >me losing 2 carriers ( 1 to MM ,, which bad luck for me was the first capital loss for MC ever ... great fight thou .. 2nd for myself being stupid during logistic situation and getting wtfbbq'd by Cruel Intentions )
Their is a lot of credit to go around as it was team effort ( too many to mention ) ... but would like to give special thanks to a person not always in the spotlight .

If they were actually capable of losing their motherships, they might not of had the complete ability to *****the north's battleship heavy fleeets.
While I hate getting into tit-for-tat arguments here, I would have to point out that the north had no shortage of motherships.
Solely from my perspective, I think this war has cemented the status of capital ships in EvE. Carriers & Moms were long known to be the workhorse on which any large force was carried, but now they can be seen as the mighty cavalry and leading edge of any assault, capable of tipping scales when conventional forces are outnumbered. I am not saying in grid carrier fighting was pioneered here, but it lent itself to a scale never before seen.
And if Carriers are the cavalry and the workhorse, then the Dreads are artillery that makes or breaks soveriegnty. More than ever have I become convinced that its not the amount of towers you anchor, but how many dreads you deploy and how you will use them.
Some say that conventional ships are becoming less relevant. I believe nothing can be further from the truth. Without them carrier's targets would escape and dreads would be reduced to rubble. Cudos to Seleene and MC leadership for making it all work together in a great symphony we will not soon forget.
I'm not suggesting you wouldn't of won, you used your resources way better than D2 ever could hope for. I'm ex d2 and fully aware how they are at using their potential.
I just don't think MC would of had such an easy win if motherships were actually balanced.

Good to see ISSN's favorite angry Scotsman continues to do what he does best.
I've long felt that if i was to leave ISS, it would be to apply to MC, not because they win, but because they do their job so well. I would love to learn from such a great and focused group of people.
MC provides the hard hitting shock troops, and excellent planning, but none of it is possible without reliable and willing corps/alliances to help them with support and such.
Well played MC, and congrats on taking MC Borealis in the bargain. ------------------- Director, KAZO

Despite RL eating me for the last 3 weeks or so of the contract, this has been the most amazing, epic experience of my EVE career.

For my part I honestly had no idea how this whole cluster fux would turn out in the end. I knew we'd have a solid run. I knew we'd give our best just like always. I didn't know how much firepower and determination the other side was going to bring. As just another grunt it was a bit unnerving to see the story unfold while just trying to ride through it.
The MC gained so much during the course of this war. It goes way beyond the victories or the stations or the fanfare. Our gains are much cooler.
Our then newest corp, Eternity, had just finished its growing cycle as well as its growing pains. They were then dumped into a trial by fire the likes of which not many in EVE can say they've gone through. These guys passed their stress test with flying colors. If anyone doubted that an MC born and raised corp could make it they only have to look to Eternity for proof. These guys kick as much ass as any other MC corp. Keep a close eye on them. ;)
SERA. Who the hell are these guys? To be honest I had no idea when I first met them. First impressions combat wise were along the lines of "Holy hell these guys are nuts.". Afterwards there's an internal thread "So what do you think of these guys?" quickly followed by a "We're giving them a trial run in the MC.". It's funny, you can hang out with people for years and not know them. Fight along side someone on the other hand and you get to know them very quickly. These guys are hardcore and impressive to watch in action. I'm very, very happy to welcome SERA to the family. :D
I've seen new FC's come out of no where and take the reigns of not only MC pilots but allied pilots as well. In the year plus I've been in the MC there hasn't been a single time that I haven't trusted our fleet commanders with my ship. That is probably the single biggest compliment I can possibly give you regarding your performances. You guys inspire those under your command and it doesn't go unseen.
We've gained a wealth of knowledge over the course of the war that you simply can't put an ISK value on. Logistics, capital warfare, anti capital warfare, communications, fleet tactics ... the list just keeps going. We may be good at what we do but we're always learning, always adapting and always trying out new things out just because they haven't been done before. The phrase "fight smarter, not harder" comes to mind and it's something that rings true in this alliance.
Finally this campaign (like many others before it) took all of these elements and tempered them into a harder, stronger element than it was before. I'm looking forward to seeing what is next in store for us.
To all of our allies I would like to thank you for putting your trust in us and for laying it on the line damn near every day for weeks on end. I hope you guys keep the fire burning and defend what you all fought hard for.
To those we fought against I would like to thank you also. For keeping us on our toes, for bringing some seriously epic battles and for keeping the fights smack free. I honestly wish you guys good luck in your futures.
Anyway, enough rambling from me. 0_o7

God where to start. Just before i joined MC i nearly quit because i was bored as hell, but when i got in here and i got sent north i found what i like doing alot more,KILLING! but at the same time i was happy to fight people that were kind and honorable in return.
I would like to thank all the people we have been fighting over the last 2 months and its really changed how i play.
I would like to thank The other alliances that helped us as well up here, without you guys this would have been hard to do.
Also a small thanks to Nubiam for telling me to go to sleep beause i was to hooked up on killing stuff! (5am is a bit late tho >.> )
Ps. Grats you guys in SERA =) you may be small but you sure as hell know what your doing and i cant wait for the next contract that you guys are on with us =).
