We will gladly do it any time just for the pleasure of flying with you and seeing you in action. Your campaign was truly amazing and will go down in eve history as one of the greatest victories ever. This campaign seemed to take your whole alliance to a higher level.

Why are people so concerned about stats? The stats don't quite matter folks, its the actual 'job' done by MC and allies that matters. The fact that they dismantled and took over the lands of the northern coalition is what matters. The stats are just for viewing pleasure.
Good job to MC and allies, I must say that was quite speedy ;o _________________________________________________ <3 hi |

Nice write up and looking to the conclusion awesome work and victory. But what will be next will MC be the north concord to protect the new entities or will a time will come for the new entities to prove themselves to protect their new regions from other alliances which want to take a 0,0 place or old alliances take tomorrow what they built up yesterday. Will MC take care of the conquered regions defence further this point ? Or have a plan of carrying his homebase to North ? Also an other question is if a corp or alliance or a grou of alliances (no matter ) can pay MC well enough would they write a new histroy in EVE by conquering BOB space. Now North is like the middle Europe after prestoroika many little entities that have space and also other entities having thought of they had rights on those regions to take back ? If i form an alliance and want to invade North to have a region for my alliance what will i face with a NAP fest of alliances with the support of MC and BOB or will i face with the owner alliance/alliances

Are they still hostile to BoB? Have the negotiated a settlement?
Any details please.
Yes, we (Morsus Mihi) are still hostile to BoB as they are still hostile to us.
Morsus Mihi negotiated nothing with anyone among the forces arrayed against us.
We fully expected to be the next to receive MC's thoughtful attention and were prepared to fight for our space. Apparently, we have a short reprieve.

In my humble opinion, The Band of Brothers now has an equal in this universe of ours.
Good work to all MC pilots, from top to bottom. You were the backbone of the attack on the north that pushed D2, Iron and so many others aside with ease. I hoped one day, I would be the one taking back BKG, the heart of the North. Fate did not work that way, but I can honestly say I am just as happy to see MC have her now, and cannot think of any other group that deserves it so much.
May your rule be likened to that of an Iron Fist. Reikoku salutes the Mercenary Coalition.

Who cares about what went wrong, or right, or statistics, or what they represent, when looked at under the harsh light of the sun, on the 38th of Febtober...
The simple fact of the matter is that MC, coupled with a handful of eager corps, did... exactly what they did.
As far as how they did it, what they did right, or whatever, it isn't magic.
A grunts tale:
I came into the war on the tail end of it. No, it wasn't bandwagoning; it was actually a critical make/break moment of my future in EvE. It was either do something, or find a new game. So I rolled the dice, and landed smack into the thick of things.
The first time I ganged in a fleet capacity with the Northern Alliance, was in LXWN; I got a few tackles in, pinched a few killmails, and just because I find the star-map fascinating, managed to voice up about a new cyno up, two systems away. Instead of getting berated, or called a nub for trying to rely on something like that for intel, the FC for our particular gang had it checked out, and hello Janus Drake...
One enyo later, we were in BKG, and the FC had gotten themselves into a bind, so a small gang went out to get him out. They got him clear, but got trapped themselves by a counter gang. That particular FC, if I recall, grabbed <generic tech 1 ship> threw together a new gang, and we rolled right back into the lions den, not because someone was flying something valuable... but because it was "the right thing to do" Needless to say, every pilot who went in, came out.
S-EVIQ was, in my mind, the culmination of what made MC so successful. The fine folks in S-EVIQ *knew* we were coming, and had prepared a fine welcoming party for us. The FC at the time (I think it was Nubiam) layed out a very simple, precise plan for the tackling group, and when everything was set, we crashed the gate. We were outnumbered, and outmaneuvered initially, but the clear, calm manner in which targets were called provided the edge in that particular encounter. I found out what primary by Alpha meant, as I was primaried on at least four different occasions just at the initial gate fight.
I probably could have left at any time after that night. My ship was on fire; I was out of railgun ammo, AND missiles (how you run out of missiles on a single launcher enyo I have no idea, but it happened)...
My little fire engine red ship burned... for four days. (I've since retired it, fittings and all.)
Yes, there are more places, but that isn't the crux of the tale. See, I had no vengeful need, no dark desire to crush X, Y, or Z. So why in the hell would I risk my cash, time, and nerves, for the pursuit of so-called "justice"? There are multiple reasons; listed below...
1. There was no caste system, no "elite squad" no clique gangs. When you flew, you flew with skilled, and well equipped people. Because of that, even though there wasn't a ranked system, non-MC folks brought their personal best to the field with them.
2. FC's listened; chided where necessary, and knew the value of praise, and understanding. In other words, the FC's were genuine leaders. Flying with them, you didn't want to let them down.
3. Risk: MC risked as much (or more) than those who flew with them. They put it on the line, even when they didn't need to.
4. Micromanaging, where needed. Gate Camping is horribly boring. The FC's/Leaders were constantly on the move balancing forces on each gate, and herding the "wrong" ships off the grid. During the gate camping in BKG, the FC's should have been given brooms and dustpans. That's how tidy they were.
So yeah, not magic at all really. They have a great attitude, excellent leaders, and when you fly next to them, you bring out your best. Because they do. And you risk it all for them. Because you know they will do the same in turn.
So a fine salute to MC. It was awe-inspiring to fly with/next to you, and I hope we get to do it again in the future.

Large Starbases: 144 killed / 2 lost Medium Starbases: 19 / 0 Small Starbases: 14 / 0
Motherships in Build: 2 killed / 1 lost
In eighty days the MC-led invasion of the North resulted in the takeover of twenty-three enemy stations and outposts and the displacement / destruction of nearly a dozen alliances, four of them major claimers of territory.
If you dont include your allies your stats are false and therefore a lie which is surprising from MC.
However, how do you call this a victory when you are the biggest entity in eve (bob, mc, fatal, tri, axe and a whole host of losers)? While you hide behind bob, etc your achievements are meaningless, grow a pair and cut the leash, or join BoB otherwise STFU
Bitter much?
First of all why would they include other entities that have helped them out? There not MC's stats are they? No. If the other entities decide to make a report on there attack on the north I am sure they will include there stats for you.
The alliance was not the biggest entity in the game the coalition WAS at the start of this " great war ". MC have no need to hide behind bob, they where hired to do a job, they did it and did it well how exactly is that hiding behind bob? Infact I think the only people from bob who went up north where an RKK roaming gang and a titan now and again. The capitals behind d2, rzr, MM etc was a capital fleet much larger than MC but yet MC had the balls to actually use theres.
I know of several mixed gangs, the point stands the stats are tainted and are therefore incorrect.
MC always has been and always will be BoBs pet, they can fight on there own but still like to hide behind bob, they must have one hell of a deal and be happy to be second best to Burn Eden and KIA, who actually have the balls to remain an indepedent entity.
1st of GJ MC and friends 2nd second best behind Burn Eden and KIA wounld make em 3rd best at least when i was in school ah p00p!

Okay I'm going to bite to this flame bait,

At the start of this war, when the Coalitions train was assembled, the numbers (accounts not players) stacked up like this,
Coalition - 26445 BoB & Allies - 12723
Figures taken from this thread Linkage and were correct on 10/03/2007.
Those numbers have obviously change now (I should really run them again just to see how much they changed) as alliances and corps have fallen, on both sides. However at the start of the campaign the Coalition had over a 2-1 advantage in terms of accounts, so to rubbish MC's achievements because they are now part of the biggest entity is pretty stupid.

This campaign was also the first time I had used my shiny new capitals ships in anger, I had expected for the dread to sit there for months.
Instead when the call came to work under MC up north it was in trepidation, how would a newly hewn capital pilot fare against the capital fleets of the north? I have to tell you I fully expected to lose both the dread and carrier within the first week.
I cannot tell you however overjoyed I was at what we accomplished under the leadership of MC and I must thank Mynas Atoch, Seleene and Waagaa for keeping my cap ships alive and well and for their excellent leadership.
While I have flown under MC before (under different guises) this was the first I had been with them in a major campaign and would like to thank them and all the allies in showing me how warfare 'should' be conducted in Eve.
True Professionalism at it's finest.
Thank you MC and thank you Fatal.

TRI didn't pull out because we were never really there.
M8, my telling of the tale may simplify certian happenings but that's mainly due to time contraints. I hope you didn't take offense to anything written. I'm aware of TRI's role in what happened and how they played their cards.
Honestly, this report could have easily been twice as long with much more detail and background on certian events. Perhaps the next time we embark upon such a venture I'll make it a point to take some time and write things up on the fly a bit more.
I understand that you had to scrimp on detail to save space. My gripe however is the picture you paint of us "attempting to take Tenal for two weeks before MC came to the rescue" is false and looking at the wording, deliberate.
Now you have all the reason in the world to blown your own trumpet, i'd just rather the one and a half paragraphs where we're mentioned isn't our failed attack on Tenal that never happened.
