Originally by: thelung187 "invalid tunnel name" specifically relates to a lack of APN configuration. If you updated the firmware on your BB, you need to make sure that this information is checked. This is the part of the walkthrough that describes the "wap.voicestream.com" portion. Make *SURE* you have that setup exactly right, once that APN information is configured this error should not appear anymore.
Thanks for the reply.
I didn't update the BB's firmware because is a brand new one. I just bought yesterday
The APN is wap.voicestream.com with username and password empty.

New purchase doesn't always mean that it is up to date. Its like saying I just bought this graphics card and used the drivers that were delivered on the CDROM.
Just because you bought it yesterday doesn't necessarily make the firmware/OS that is installed up to date. I always look for the current drivers/OS before I do anything else with any updatable device. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

This is why. wap.voicestream.com is native ONLY to T-mobile users, you need to use the APN server of your provider. Fortunately, since I am an extremely nice guy, I took the liberty of acquiring *ALL* O2 UK APN configuration info:)
O2 GPRS settings (WAP): Note: Different settings for contract and PAYG (Pay as you go)
Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk/ APN address (contract): wap.o2.co.uk APN address (PAYG): payandgo.o2.co.uk Gateway (IP) address : 193.113.200.195 Username : o2wap (contract) / payandgo (PAYG) Password: password Session type: Continuous / permanent Authentication: Normal Security: Off Port number: 9201
Hopefully that can steer you in the right direction Post here if it doesn't, I'm curious as to your success.

Try it with the
server: mobile.o2.co.uk or server: wap.o2.co.uk
and with both the username/password as blank.

Dudes, I have some updated information in regards to my IOException: Timeout error.
When I first installed this app, it worked flawlessly. And it was good. Then, all of the sudden, I tried to update my character almost immediately after a skill completion, and BAM, it didn't work after that. I recieved the IO error everytime, after about... 30 - 45 seconds of saying "Getting skills".
I uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, and rebooted, and every chronological combination thereof. No go. Same issue.
So then I formatted my blackberry. Installed the app again, and it worked flawlessly. And it was good. Then, all of the sudden, I tried to update my character almost immediately after a skill completion, and BAM, it didn't work after that.
Hope this helps you debug.

Also, this might prove that uninstalling the app doesn`t remove everything. As though there`s residual data being left behind. Otherwise, why would a format of the BB work, when an uninstall would not.

Big thanks to "Mareko Hohenbruegge" for his input on the German translation of EMSP.
As soon as "thelung187" can get it up on his server, then the german speaking community can enjoy the the updated version.
BTW, 3.2.2 will only be a german NLS update, if you don't use the german UI, then you won't have to upgrade. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

EVE-Mail me and I'll let you know what mime types are a MUST to be able to be a download site.
Actually, thinking about it, maybe setting up a URL that has the correct files would make things a lot easier for mirroring the distribution. I know that SF doesn't send the correct mime types, so a mirror to web servers from SF with the correct mime types would be a good way to go. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Edited by: Kramnik on 17/09/2008 11:12:30 Hello Jaabaa, I have some problems with the latest version, the "information" & "Statics" options dont show anything after selected, maybe some kind of problem with the full api key? , the older version work fine on my nokia n80 and my old palm before the new eve patch, now both devices with the latest version of emsp dont show the information/statics data. Another thing, now emsp try to connect to the internet when you start the application, but is more interesting the manual update just like the old version, lot of symbian devices ask for java permissions and you only need to see some information at emsp without update/connection.
Keep your great job man, thanks, (i hope you can understand my bad english )

Wierd, it shouldn't do that, ever.
Considering the problems you are having I would try and reinstall EMSP from scratch, it looks like something on your device is messed up.

First, I would like to thank all the work that has gone into this program.
I have a blackberry 8100 and like most I encountered the 907 invalid COD error. But I found a solution which I wasn't able to recreate until recently. The problem was that I was not using blackberries standard browser, because I was using my media plan + opera to access the internet. (Why pay 30 when you can pay 15) Anyways, the draw back is that the blackberry browser seems to handle alx files or interpets these two cods in one combos, so when I try to OTA it media net attempts to do it and fails miserably. (thus the 907 invalid COD) So what I did was use the original files which were posted which contained the Cod,jar cod-1 and alx. I looked at the alx and it only seemed to install the first cod but not the cod-1 version and so I altered it via wordpad to target both and install. I used the desktop manager and it worked!(exact instructions how out to use/ where to find blackberry desktop manager can be found via google)
But now that you have upgraded I can't find these files and it would be great for us that can't OTA if they were made available. I hope above information allows others to get through the 907 cod problem. Hopefully it's a fix that will work for more then just me.
Again thx for you dedication to this program.

You can now get the above files at:
http://thearnoldproject.com/emsp.alx http://thearnoldproject.com/emsp.cod http://thearnoldproject.com/emsp-1.cod
I don't have a BB and based on what you said these would appear to be the files that you are looking for to upgrade your device.
Hope that this helps you. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

I'm having a bit of trouble getting this to work. I installed the app on my Nokia N95 8GB. It seems to install and run fine.
In the skill planner app I added my account and limited + full keys. Now when I select the load character option it starts receiving some data, and I can see my characters are added to my account.
Now when I exit the manage accounts screen, I get back on the home screen that says Characters in the title. This just keeps saying 'No data'. I cannot see any of my characters anywhere but in the account screen.
The other app which can track members / wallet balance etc. seems to work fine. This apped picked up my entered characters without a problem.
Any idea how I can get the skill monitoring to work?
The future is black. Brace for impact! |

Further back in this thread some people have mentioned their success on Windows based devices using a Java emulator (run time) for Windows Mobile.
I don't have a Windows Mobile device so I can't directly answer your question and can only refer you to previous posts, sorry -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

While I don't have a motorola it works fine on my XDA flame running WM 5 using the Esmertec JAVA emulator so I can't see why it wouldn't work on the motorola.
