I truly believe EVE would have been a much more fun game if CCP had not allowed corp thefts, I've had my share of corp thefts and find them despicable. However as pointed out, probably no corporation harbors more members (GHSC was more drama than results sorry HG) that have participated in corp thefts than Evolution. I do admire much of what EVOL have done and despite my open objection to them un the past, due to their meta-gaming of thefts, offlining, betrayal and so on, I know quite a few good people there I wouldn't mind sharing a beverage of choice with. Despite what was taken I doubt it will cripple them, they have some really talented and dedicated people at the wheels. I'm too old fashioned to play EVE as it is and this case demonstrates. I want to take part in games where a team vs team ethos prevails, although with politics between the corps within a team (alliance, coalition) could lead to betrayal etc., the corp should be sacrosant. I know I wouldn't play team sports if I could expect my goalkeeper to score an own goal at the final minute of a match because he was planted there 2 years earlier by the opposing team... So, just another day in EVE only this time the usual takers ended up on the other side of the table. EVOL have known about this danger from Day 1, its a marker of their good judgement of member rights that it took 4 years until something of such scale occured. On this one issue alone I support BoB and sincerely hope they can recover their items or at the very least get some retribution. But i must add something on this thread :P I despise corptheft. My old corp got robbed. Pennies today, but it hurt back then. However. What is the fundamental difference between putting an alt in a corp, befriend them for 6 months, then stabbing them in the back and robbing someone blind? In both ways u connect to ppl, have fun with them, grow bonds etc. And then u stab them in the back. Either by ruining something or robbing. Evol/BoB did that to my corp/D2. Now it happened to Evol. Do i feel pity for them? Not in a million years. What comes around goes around. They managed to ruin a titan with a spy, they lost 2'ish titans (value) in corp theft. If this indeed happened i dont feel pity for them, but i dont condone the act itself.

Sure, assets can be replaced, but everything cannot be back to normal in a short period of time. Here it is. Isn't it unique?

Sooner or later someone would have done it. Same goes for any of the big corporations (even the medium size ones.) That's one thing that makes me very sad about EVE. I've been the victim of corp theft myself and its not to fun. Fortunately at the time it occurred last year the thief didn't get much (a few million). Kudos for BoB admitting the theft.
