I know what your getting at mate , the changes to titans. But you have to agree that numbers > skills in eve atm due to the incapacity of the game to handle said numbers.
We might as well all fly ibis's tbh the way the game is going. If i was in your position against a better skilled and equipped opponent id be doing the same tbh. But its just as boring for you as it is for them. If your having "fun" props to you mate. But what im getting at is that numbers > skills ...goddamit
So in summary whats the point in flying t2 in large fleet battles when you die due to lag and de-sync?

Maybe you guys did not bring as many to the fights before the patch as you do now.
Maybe the fact that covering all that space thinned their lines a bit to much.
But i do agree that the fact that a titan is now vunerable is a huge advantage to ppl who totaly rely on the blob and proly has a lot to do with it.

Excuses. There is no invincible ship in a large fleet battle: you get called primary, you die, lag or not.
I actually cannot see why lag would favour the fleet with the more numerous, weaker ships. I can see how it favours passive tanking (shieldboosters don't work well in lag), but that's not the same thing. Lag cripples every ship, but T2 ships will still be able to give and take more damage T1's.
I've heard this theory thrown about a lot, but I've never actually heard a good explanation for it. Why would a small number of T2 ships be worse off in lag than a large number of T1?

You do not need to speculate: we were there and we can tell you. It was because before Rev2, there were several doomsdays per hour, every hour, and nothing we could do against them. Few fleets can survive that. Most of our fleets were wiped out without BoB ever engaging. BoB would camp gates with cynos, we would warp in, and by the time we loaded grid, we were all dead.

What does this have to do with blobs? Before Rev 2, BoB would routinely Doomsday 10-man roaming gangs, just for fun. There was no risk, so why not?
Doomsdays were the ultimate weapon. Not just against blobs. Against any gang or fleet, of any size, that had non-capital ships in it.

Or BoB DDing solo stealth bombers. That stuff sure was fun. BoB keeps saying they want good fights, but anyone who has fought them in the past 6 months knows that they are lying, pure and simple. What BoB wants is many killmails and few lossmails, and if camping a gate with a titan is the way to do that, then that is what they will do.

Oh the good old days when we had to sit in station with our 60+ man gang watching 20 man Bob gangs run around because they parked a titan next door. And then BoB *****ing when we wouldnt engage. Good times.
Or BoB DDing solo stealth bombers. That was sure a lot of fun!

The side with the most ships would (if lag hits both parties just as much, something you guys seem to argue about alot) have more ships that aren't lagged out. So 100 T1 fitted ships would do more damage then 50 T2 fitted. Of course, with or without lag it's the same. The fleet with superior numbers would still deal more damage then the fleet with the T2 fitted battleships. That's why the blob will always win unless of course the fleet commander of the blob sux hard in which case BoB beats blob. (I made a joke, did you enjoy it?) Yarr |

So all the chest beating is really pointless, if everyone could play on a level playing field, i think the results in the war would be alot different and alot more fun for both sides. Which tbh is why we all play, aint it.

The side with the most ships would (if lag hits both parties just as much, something you guys seem to argue about alot) have more ships that aren't lagged out. So 100 T1 fitted ships would do more damage then 50 T2 fitted.
But it doesn't work that way. The ratios would remain the same.
Let's say, for example, that 80% of ships in the system lag out. In that case, 80 T1 fitted ships would lag out, leaving 20, and 40 T2 fitted ships would lag out, leaving 10. The odds remain 2-1, just as they would be without lag.
Or if we look at it another way, and say that every ship has 5 minute module lag, that would mean that both the T1 and the T2 ships could target someone every 5 minutes. But the T2 ships would still do more damage than the T1 ships. The fight would end up just like it would without lag. It would take a lot longer, but the conclusion would be the same.
Lag doesn't say "okay here's a 200-man BoB fleet and a 400-man Coalition fleet, I'll just skim 180 off the top of both, leaving BoB with 20 guys who can do stuff, and the Coalition with 220". Every ship has an equal chance of getting lagged (or desynched, or whatever), so relatively, the forces should remain the same.

// signed, exactly why I haven't been playing recently. It needs fixing, damn annoying losing ships you spent hours, days, months etc to get then lose it due to lag/de-sync then get told by ccp there logs show nothing in respect to you not being able to move for X amount of time etc. Paying a monthly subscription to lose ships/money to a service problem. Unacceptable, if it was a ISP for example you would demand a refund.

No guys - I am sorry but I always stand by the side of the Truth. I spent an afternoon going through the Band of Brothers and the Goonswarm killboard comparing the average activity of the top ranked pvpers on the two kb's and guess what? Band of Brothers' most active PvPers have nearly no kills under their name in the month of august while the goon top killers are still the same (as summarized in this graph) .
As you can see my claims are backed up by scientifical evidence and wheter we might be fighting on the same side the summer holiday's toll on BoB activity has to be acknowledged in full.

It used to be just paying 10 bucks to a former smut site operator to join a forum and acting like your iq was less then that of the number of eyeballs an average human has in order to be a full fledged member of the goon high order. Both of which points must have made it extremely easy to infiltrate the hive.
