16 pages.. OMG!!
Well all i can say is, Empire spaceis boring, too many neutrals in my overview...
Good luck to those who wandered off and choose another direction! We had good fun! Respect to our hostiles for providing a smack free beating :)We tried to answer that with as less smack as possible. We tried to fight :-)
We learned, and we ll live to see another eve-day.
Have fun there in b-7 :-)

He was trained by the people who started the original Xelas. He also fought with the Xelas of late... He also "fought" with O X I D E.
His comparison is accurate.
From my time in both alliances OXIDE < Xelas. Both fairly hopeless.

Sorry for derailing the topic even further.
Harriet I believe Da'Fuzz was refering to the original Xelas in v7-mid that began life in Tenal. That Xelas died the moment we left for Fountain. The Xelas in Fountain just became another Carebearish Alliance.
Now lets get back onto the topic of Oxide/DMC/Iron etc backstabbing, sorry, adjusting political stances in an ever changing enviorment. Thats much more fun to read about. http://www.pixelopia.co.uk/files/signature.jpg |

I needed to update the Topic-Title, IRON is long gone to their own space. RK smash and Atlas raided after IRON left and basically took over system.
Atlas Alliance will be the new owners of the station. Oxide sovereigntiy will be lost shortly.
and that is basically the end of this story :)

Edited by: McFly on 13/11/2007 20:13:40 Edited by: McFly on 13/11/2007 20:12:13 I think that the requirement for a pet is to be paying tribute to it's master. With that definition I would continue to point that Chaos, Atlas, Smash are not 'pets'. But something more of friends, new and old, and for RK to push forward in matters like these, and help our friends in their endeavors would be considered normal. If we wanted to attack a system and take it for ourselves, I would expect to see our allies flying with us, not as tribute to the landlord but because most PVP Pilots in RK/SMASH/ATLAS/CHAOS are always itching for a fight somewhere.
PVPers play EVE for the fighting, politics are just a means to that end. The truth is OXIDE screwed up by firing on a CEO that was supposed to be set blue, they then refused to recoup losses or even acknowledge it, hence the PVPers took it as a 'shot heard round the world' and it gave us the oppurtunity to fight someone, so we went and got in a fight.

Dude I was going to reply back but its really not worth it. All I can say is your CEO is not to wise or nor bright to fly in a hot zone with all alliance fighting against 1 allaince and think he was not going to draw fire. He knew what he was doing to draw fire and dec war after. So smart you guys are dumb or think everyone else is dumb.

Well as Seleiah has said it has been a intresting thread.
I've been involved in eve politics for about a year or so I'm still a noob. I've dabbled in mining and building. I'm still learning how to pvp vs some of the best in the game. ( Outbreak early Oxide time period Tri later and now RK and smash) So I'll try and sum up the tread for those of you that don't want to melt your brains on the first 16 pages.
Oxide purchased the B-7 station from X-pact a few months ago and began trying to play with the rest of the mad pacters (Frege, DMC, Guard, Rule, Invictus) All seemed calm and boring in the drone regions with some visits from Tri and other visiting the drone regions at that time but there was really no big things going on here.
Imperial order puts down a outpost in nearby MJ and get the attention of Pure and Smashkill soon a war breaks out and many of the drone regions are called to defend their promise to the Mad Pact so it seems like a blob fest of many alliaces vs smashkill and Atlas.
Fast forward to this thread where the mad pact has all but fallen apart and many of the Drone regions big players (Frege, Guard, rule of 3) are have had moved out or forced out of the region or are shadows of what they were a month or two ago.
What is left is DMC, Invictus, ED, Intreped crossing, OXIDE, Iron and SmAsHKilla and the intrest of the Northern coaltion seems to bear on those that have not been or are not part of the southern war and who was involved in the MJ war.
OXIDE Got involved in a few of the Defense efforts in razor space and such in the early goings of the war with bob and co. but had not been much of a force in the south. So mark one against. Second it became clearer and clearer our part in MJ was a mark against us as well. Finally our close relationship with DMC and our weakness to defend our space made us a target of intrest.
So yes in the end we did alot of what happened in B-7 depending on how you view eve politcal movement. Oxide was given many chances to merge or move out the week or weeks before the battle of B-7. I found it hard to mount a good defense vs Smash, RK, Atlas and Chaos and Pure and found little help from DMC.
Now the Drone regions are basicly DMC and Smashkill with some smaller alliances mixed in for flavor. I salute all that made this turn of events for me intresting. I have stepped down as CEO of OXIDE and have seen fit to move on in eve. Good Luck to all as well as OXIDE pilots.
