After a significant amount of time in the drone regions, defending our allies, running to their defense with better "combatants" to "members in alliance" ratios than most of the power houses in the areas, OXIDE has been rewarded by being invaded by our allies.
I don't even know what to say to be honest. Everyone says it's because OXIDE was not strong enough to hold our space. The truth is that very few alliances are capable of holding their space against the world. The simple fact is that they want the space and are willing to **** on an ally to get it. So be it. We have learned who our friends are and who isn't.

Originally by: Virtuozzo As we understand, after discussions, OXIDE will be disbanding after the wakeup call which every organisation in EVE has at one time in its history, past, present, or future.
As of this moment IRON/INVICTUS will no longer actively engaging OXIDE and removing itself from the scene. It's one of those sad times where organisations end, but that on its own is not a bad thing, as long as the pilots who build the community are taken care of, and there to take care of themselves.
Whatever the future brings, I wish you all the luck and better fortunes. Life in deep space is subject to evolution, and that will affect us all at some point in history.
Kudos OXIDE, may your guys and girls find new ways in game. EVE is a cold and ruthless place, and ultimately everyone suffers the same fate, or has suffered it in the past.
They're disbanding because you gave them an ultimatum - merge with Atlas Alliance or 15,000,000 aliances will blob you. Given the fact they have a bajillion towers and isk worth of assets in the drone regions, guess which option was taken?

I remember the time when oxide and DMC as a frontrunner were so very keen on kicking a new small alliance from the drone regions. Also i remember their diplo policy... Lets set all to blue, that will keep us save!!!! .... rite?!
times change, now oxide and DMC can show what they have been doing in the drone regions.
Ill be checking the sov map daily again
You forgot the part about you wanting to change the side that OXIDE was on at the time, not telling our Drone region friends and basically blind siding them. For this you were forced out of the alliance, one way or another, and when you tried set up in OXIDE space, you were removed. Remember to give ALL the info in your statements :)

No ultimatum was ever given to OXIDE; OXIDE was looking for help to defend itself and it was concluded by those alliances involved in the talks that the best course would be for OXIDE to merge with a like minded alliance to become a stronger entity and defend it interests along with that stronger entities wider friends. There was no consequences served if the merger was not to take place, it was simply a gesture to provide OXIDE an option in preserving the assets of it member corporations with as little loss as possible to the would-be aggressing party that is/was IVC & IRON.
EDIT: As far as im aware, IVC & IRON had no part in these talks or the offer.

But looking at this all, it looks like Roadkill and smash will join Iron and invictus and insurgency to take over b7, basically a block too big to defend against, specially if no one aids after oxide aided several other alliances in rough times, but those days are long gone and most likely forgotten.
It is not confirmed but odds tend to look that way.
This war never favored us, but we still... will fight, at least we ll go down fighting. And that is something to be proud of.
I would have rather shot at IRON & Invictus. If our fights in the drone regions have taught us anything, it is that fighting against the odds, is a lot more fun the with them.
MJ- fight against the whole madpact which probably outnumbered us 2-1 was a LOT of fun.
However captureing NGM and 9IZ and kicking FREGE out of the drone regions with Ka-Tet and Chaos Incarnate behind us was boring. I was always of the opinion that having katet and ci there would be bad cause it would be boring and it was.
From the sounds of it, this engagement was pretty boring, because one side was obviously outgunned, so really fighting would acheive nothing except prolong the inevitable, so OXIDE did the intelligent thing and moved out.

You chaps (Oxide) have handled yourself in a dignified manner. I was hoping for a bit more of a skirmish but I think you have made the sensible choice assets wise.
War is a nasty business which in reality is never fair. I hope Oxide well eventually bounce back stronger then ever from this.
The drone regions were always going to get 'power blocked', one example of an early power block was the MAD pact which failed. The small and weak no longer have a place in the area it seems.
As usual there is the normal de-railing of the thread and speculation that is COAD :) But I wish Oxide all the best in future endeavours.
I'm merely a grunt, so this is just my opinion.

Tonight one of my pilots had an interesting chat with an OXIDE pilot... Apparently, we were no longer blue to OXIDE. They were still however blue to us. Apparently we were supposed to attack them or something ???
Anyway, as of post-DT today OXIDE were reset because apparently we're no longer blue to them :o.
Pretty sure we're not going to be in B-7 within 24 hours :o I mean, if there's an invite, but we don't have it planned :o
I'm seriously thinking of putting spies in other alliances so I know what we're supposed to be doing :o

Tis always interesting when these things happen,
We have people who tried to do the same thing to us from inside talk of Karma, this is of real personal interest because what happened to them may be an omen of the future, We others tell everyone else what we are doing? and last we have people making false accusations as to why a certain thing is the way it is.
I don't speak for you so please have the common decency not to speak for my alliance or myself.
OXIDE we have stood the these tests many times , mostly helping our friends and the risk of having this happen to us as a retaliation, and we the people of OXIDE will stand this test no matter what the outcome.
Code of Deluri Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today. |

Oxide pilots Please stop posting if you can restrain yourselves please.
To be honest and frank its not clear to what is going on.
DMC Gave the offer to merge with them but when I said no they seemed to have distanced themselves from us and have stopped Comms and have tightened their Defense of their space which is best for them I am sure. But we want to defend the little we own and take the good with the bad. So good luck to all DMC pilots.
Iron and Invictus have left Oxide space after some short pew pew. GF and GL
Pure alliance's Nano and speed gangs still are hitting our haulers and such always a good fight. Hats off to your tactics and skill Breanna and co.
Atlas gave us a option to join them which was very nice but I think we will try and defend our space. Btw thank you Bobby I appreaciated the offer you were honest and forth right.
Roadkill- John and Scooter1 Gave me a good chance to merge with Atlas and save B-7 but I think OXIDE wants to keep on trucking and are willing to go down with the ship so to speak. John Blackthorn and Scooter have been honest and up front with me as far as I can tell so thanks.
Smash (Peoke) gave OXIDE 24 hours to merge into them or be set neutral at the end of that time.
Many Oxide pilots have pointed out that this means Smashkill and what Frege called the horde are coming to steamroll B-7 but tbh we don't know whom it will be or when so I won't accuse anyone of anything cause thats just stupid and weak.
All in all OXIDE has had its ups and downs and as the Current CEO we will roll with it and try and Keep on trucking we ask for no help since its hard to know whom to trust. So for all the smack and double talk we all know thats what the Forum warriors are great at. Good luck my Fellow OXIDE mates.

Smash (Peoke) gave OXIDE 24 hours to merge into Atlas or be set neutral at the end of that time. Reason given was that we are neutral to all their friends so I guess that nap has ended. No idea if this means they will invade or if they will send another of their Coalition to attack B-7 but I make no accusations and honestly don't know.
