Ati Mobility Radeon X1300 - 512MB VRAM
I know it can support Shader Model 3.0but can it work well?
Im running trinity 2.0 on coreduo 1.7mhz, ati X1400 128mb at 1400x1050 and its has better fps than old engine (mainly very near gate, clouds) / but with shadows off. i think this is the best choice for this kind of GPU. graphics is still amazing and fast even in big number of ships in front of station. when you put shadows on, you can play eve in 40fps 1024x768, but you are screwed when you meet some bigger gang. i thing because big textures its better to play with higher resolition shadows off than 1024x768 with shadows on (not too much difference).

This really stinks. I just put up a POS.
The consumption rate of Strontium Clathrates has been doubled for control towers in reinforced mode, which leads to the maximum reinforced times being halved to up to 2.5 days with all sovereignty bonuses (around 1.5 days with no bonuses).

it means a range of bandwidth.. several BS have 75 Mbit (like the raven) others have 100 (like hyperion ) and some have 125 (like dominix and mega)

Any chance of not having the Force Recons that are RSD Dependant (and get bonuses to them as such) nerfed to hell? Can their modifier bonus be increased to keep them where they are at now?
Example, Arazu.

Carriers are not transports/freighters. You shouldn't be able to use the same ship for solo PvP, group PvP, PvE, AND transporting your goods. There shouldn't a single ship that does everything.
Finally some wise words about the carrier nerf!
I'm getting tired of all those people whining about it. You've done the right thing CCP. Carriers are meant for battle, not logistics. I've never seen a carrier in real life used for transporting planes filled with exotic spices or something similar. Using carriers for logistic purposes in EVE ruins the spirit of the game, as does any other trick that's unrealistic/weird, like bumping a larger ship away with a shuttle or some other small ship, or using a login trap, logging off to escape death, basicly things that your imagination can't see happening for real in several thousands of years from now, we are trying to simulate the future, aren't we? It's not just about playing a game to win with any means necessary regardless of how unlogical the strategy sounds if this universe were real.
Otherwise we could just make flying donuts or something shooting blobs of sugar at each other. So thank you CCP for making sure the game makes sense.
I don't understand the complaints anyway, CCP gave you jumpfreighters in return, didn't they? What's wrong with using them instead? Looking at it in a way I just described, using JF's makes much more sense.
Smells like astroturfing to me.......
real life comparisons are meaningless, don't bother with them.
How do you know what they are "meant" for? Up until a little while ago ships were able to do whatever the imagination of the player base came up with - no longer sadly :( every ship is now to be forced into a tiny windowed role with no place for creativity.
People don't do logistics in carriers for fun - they certainly don't wander about carrying exotic spices - are you drunk? or is it just that you have never flown a carrier for logistics. If there were a better practical alternative people would use it - there isn't and the introduction of a tech II invention only jump freighter isn't going to change that for a long time....
Go fly a carrier or at least read the relevant threads before you post - and to CCP: thanks for listening to the feedback from carrier pilots, next time don't even pretend to listen, just go ahead and do whatever............ |

The following has been added to the Patch Notes under the Ships listing:
Capital and Capital Industrial class ships (Carriers, Motherships, Titans and Rorquals) will need to have ships removed from their ship maintenance arrays before the deployment of EVE: Trinity. Leaving anything other than ammunition or cap booster charges in the array may result in the ship not being able to move, warp or jump.

Yeah but I don't really feel like flying 40 jumps to where my carrier is so can I petiton this when and if the time comes or what. I guess this probobly won't be an issue if the ship is docked eh?

Exactly. Concord became a bit lazy and is only making payments every 15-20 minutes. All NPC-kills within one system during this time are concentrated into one payment.

This nerf is not thought through. PLEASE tell me why you didn¦t increase the ship volume of haulers? This would bring the same result, but with much less bad consequences (like being unable to scoop an inty, which has loot in it¦s cargohold).

Yet another utterly ridiculous consequence that could have been easily avoided by doing away with this supremely moronic nerf, and simply increasing hauler volume.

Solo PvP in a carrier is a freaking myth. It's time that was recognized.
A single ewar ship can completely jam a carrier (I know I've done it a billion times) so that it can't rep other carriers, and it really doesn't take much to take one down. A 3m cruiser can render a 1.3b (before fittings) ship useless.
I saw 6 taken down in a single encounter last week. By an entirely non-capital fleet. There were almost 2 moms killed as well, but the lag screwed with our dictors.
Anyone who believes that carriers are pwnmobiles has never flown one. It's that simple.
