Methinks the US is pretty desperate after the Bolivian Presidents jet was forced to land on a return from Russia, had all the hallmarks of a desperate grab. If I remember right the EU was considering offering asylum... somehow... given it doesn't have territory outside the parliament complex....

Disney is apparently going to take a $100 M loss from a $250 M budget on "The Lone Ranger".
Of course. Between this and "John Carter", Disney has for the 2nd time released a film based on ancient, almost archaic heroes without bothering to explain to the general public what the deal is or the significance of the project. So many people went to "John carter" not knowing it was ever set on Mars. Maybe if they had kept the proper title. "John Carter" sounds like a sequel to "Michael Clayton".
Another 1/4 Billion budgeted film disappoints and wastes money that could have funded dozens of other projects. Unreal.
Edit: This is just more fuel for skepticism of the new "Star Wars" films, and these are the minds in charge of that now. The sheer "meh"-factor with JJ Abram's "Star Trek Into Darkness" also compounds the matter (honestly I've only liked one of his films. "Super 8" bored me to death). We may be calling him Jar-Jar Abrams in the future. |

Tonto and The Lone Ranger are stood near a narrow pass. It's a perfect spot for them to try and capture some food.
The Lone Ranger asks Tonto "How does it look my friend?"
Tonto puts his ear to the ground and pauses. He straightens up and states "Hmmmm. Buffalo come."
"How can you tell?" asks The Lone Ranger.
"Face sticky" replies Tonto......
I'll just...be over...there somewhere.... Aaaaaaand relax. |

I'll probably watch the Lone Ranger at some point, Johnny Depp usually does amusing as hell character portrayals, but Despicable Me II is looking like it could be much much more fun.

The one clip I've seen was stupendously silly
The timing of the humor and the movements....animators really owe a whole lot to Chuck Jones.

Yeah since we're long past the time when pollution was a problem they're hawking this man-made global warming scam constantly. I mean, who actually believe that tripe? |

Yeah, Hollywood Movie Studios definitely need some new blood infused with them. They've been rehashing a lot of old stuff constantly trying to put a new spin on it.
Anyway, some more likes were distributed.
