Poor DMC members. :( It's so easy and so funny to kill them. On gates, on undocks, on their poses where they are staying outside of shields for some unknown to me reason.
Historically RSF (and AAA) were very concerned with titans non-proliferation. We killed LV's Avatar in production. We destroyed MC's capital shipyards. We've made desperate attempt to kill BoB capital shipyard in F-TE1T. RA leadership felt themselves very offended when they found out someone is producing Titans under our own protection to sell them to our enemies. They felt that they were cheated on.
So... Previous deal was dropped. Real politik. DMC will be evicted though i have to admit most members of DMC didn't commit anything wrong to face such sad fate. --------------------

BOB said they will try and own all 0.0 space. It was up to them who will stay or have to leave 0.0 (at least the part they controlled). Now, you just said you will control who can be in 0.0 space and who can produce titans and who can not. Doesn't that make you a God of Eve?

6.) Man, that was a hard decision at that night. We would give away 100 bil isk worth in assets to them in a single shot, and get no garantees for it. Well, do you know the feeling when you look back at decesions you really regret? This was one of them, we agreed on the deal. Cruel Fox and Fletcher gave away their own ms`s, and myself put up the other 2 for deal. Laugh at us if you want, tell us how stupid we were! But we saw an option to save the hard work of hundreds of people over a long period of time. We love our space, we love our home, we love our outposts.

We are NOT going to control more space than we control now. We are NOT going to control whole 0.0 space and decide who have to live there and who to stay. And obviously we can't control every Eve entitity, who may be potentially wishing to make a titan. Our abilities are quite limited in fact and we're not going to exploit them to the point.
But we have to ensure our safety and safety of our allies. So if we see we can remove potential threat easily - we'll do this. My condolences to collateral victims.

Ok first off... im having fun :) i think its an awesome experience.. ive killed some ive died some. and heck i even got dd hahah that was great everyone scream "jump jump" and me just sitting there like "what? what did you say???"
but that aside.. i have nothing against RA, people say hey we need to figure this out diplomatically.. but i dont think thats going to happen.. :( cause as in real life peoples personalities get in the way.. and they can't back down.. cause then they will be seen as a soft target.. but if RA would like to talk about an agreement I'd listen :) im nobody important but hey it would be nice to know that negotiation is availble... i mean hey id like to go back to my mining career.. but ive also started to like killing people its really fun :) sides i think i lost all my mining stuff and my hulk and all that in one of the pos's that got blown up.. :)
oh and to you that think morale is down hahaha dude its not.. we have people on that are harrassing all day long but please dont ask me to undock when there is 40 of you that are camping the station.. i might like to fight and not care if i loose.. but im not stupid
in closing see you on the battlefield... and gosh can we at least talk a little in local.. i mean when i ask hows the weather over there it aint like im asking where your secret titan is being built.. lighten up a little :)

There's always ground for negotiations. Stations needs owners. And someone who will help sustain life there by making profit from surrounding area. RA is interested in safe backyard.
It was like 6 of us camping station in bq and 20 of you accidentally undocking from it at once. Lol. My tank hold for two minutes before i got blown up. If not katet large bubble on gate in 3-j, our bs could save me in time. Point taken - i added more tank on my phobos. --------------------

Hi,
Sorry i've not read every post here.
But...
Am i right in saying that DMC have two titans build, in one of their stations they are looking likely to loose in the next week, but with no pilots for them and no way of moving them out?

The ones who cheated twice are the DMC leaders. Thinking they could enjoy RA's protection while making Titans for the highest bidder. They also cheated their own Members, draging those poor carebears into a war they knew they never had a chance to win.
And what was RA doing? It seems RA leadership knew what was going on, and they reacted accordingly. Nync even gave DMC their last chance to redeem themselves, DMC just didn't know it then.
How much isk is this war going to cost DMC's membership? Wouldn't RA leaders betray they own members by allowing DMC to go on?
DMC wanted to bribe RA leadership, RA took the bribe and still did the right thing. Poor DMC leaders, you scamed your selves... how unfortunate. _________________ Don't Panic! |

ah fair point.
so they would be sitting made at a pos? or awaiting completion in a cap yard array?
still pretty harsh to have that pos attacked...

Edited by: Freelancemen on 16/01/2008 11:40:05 Oh well, tbh, the whole situation sucks. Looking back at it and finally getting the whole picture straight (at least i think so..) i think those titans might indeed be the root of all what is happening.
Can i blame RA for what they are doing, prolly not but i'm not behind the way they played this. First they give us their protection in trade for some nice isk, then they tried to exploit steal it and then to bargain it from us to finally just attack us for it.
Did we get a warning, no idea, but for some reason i doubt we did. Could we have seen it comming? Yes, perhaps, looking back at all the facts but nobody ever got anything from "what if's" so no need to go there.
Regarding Ka-tet plans to invade/kill us without RA's help i think we would have seen some very nice battles and we'd be in a totally different league then we are now even without help of Atlas and Chaos.
Oh well, EVE goes on, live goes on and i go and i'm pretty sure there are worse things in the world

ps, i still hope there is a solution out there somewhere

Edited by: Cruel Fox on 16/01/2008 12:01:52 To give few anwswers:
-DMC wont loos 2 titans and we do have pilots -DMC didnt and had NO intention to sell titans to any of RA hostiles! Remember they were offered to RA at first, and we tried to actually sell them to XIX and nearlly got scamed (but if there is need we prolly can do it now) -someone asked was it worth it; DAMND right it was! It was worht it. Seling under mineral cost would make us without sence/honor/pride/respect/freedom and we decided that those worth more!
Therefore again RA can take ower our claimed space - but eve comunity got clear msg and picture who u have to deal with! Yes for that it was worth it! Even in worse case scenario lets do the math: 4 mses = 80 bil 4 outposts = 80 bil ergo we r loosing 160 bil! We r loosing what we offered them; we offered RA our space and we gave RA 4 MSes; but we keep 2 titans! We keep freedom, we keep pride.
So yea - would do it again - with skiping the part ever tried to belive RA will protect us! There goes mine baner again! _________________________________________ Russian true speach about themselves:

So by not peacefully negotiating an agreeable price for the Titans, you decide to try and take them by force. Surely this just increases the risk that DMC will sell them to your enemies and is actually counterproductive to what you 'say' you are trying to achieve ?
Perhaps if you could not have agreed a price between RA and DMC, you could have arranged for it to be sold to another of your allies whom may have found the price agreeable. Or perhaps you view your allies as potential threats?
TBH, it just looks like you were blinded with greed and wanted Titans for free. Protecting ourselves and our allies from the mighty DMC sounds more like an excuse.

You dont get it. the way i see it: DMC - You expect us to give titans for free? RA - no, we expect you to die
as for "why?" dmc came path from partner to possible threat in less than month and now they face consequences. p.s to clarify - dmc is not threat, but selling titans to wrong people is.
