Suicide bombing in highsec is indeed not very nice in my opinion. I totally agree that lowsec is free game, but sneaking up on a hulk in a stealthship, bookmarking it and warping in a ship that blows up the hulk only to get concorded, after which another ship happily loots the remains is... lame. Effective, but lame.
Still, it's EVE. If you don't want to be popped, take along protection.

You are not suppose to catch up. You are suppose to eventually come to whatever level they are at now. And when you do. They are still miles infront of you.
"Catching up" only makes sense in stale enviroments like certain other MMOs on the market. In Eve the veteran players are like your parents and Bill Gates. When you're as old as your parents - they're older. When you're as rich as Bill Gates - he's richer. It's supposed to be that way and it makes Eve better than its rivals.
Also note that you don't need to have more skill points than someone to kill them. You just need to shoot first and die last.

Let me tell you what happened to me the first hour in 0.0 space. I lost my Hulk, not to a PVP player, but to a swarm of NPC rats. The person introducing me to the wonders of 0.0 space just went & left me & assumed my tank was 0.0 hard- it was not & I floated back to the POS in a pod. Did I whine, petitition CCP or have a tantrum- no I learnt from the experience. I guess the message is that the whole of EVE is an experience & we need to adapt or play something else.

You guys need to get it right,... Insurance is unrealistic when paying a criminal act. Get rid of that part of it yes but not to stop anyone from killing Hulks.
When I say get rid of insurance for criminal act being done then yeah that's ok, but I do not mean it as a way to stop criminal act, that is what it is.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but some idiot tried this crap on me. CONCORD showed up in about 5 seconds and popped his T2 fitted Deimos instantly.
I only got Exhumers III so, I'm not getting full shield resist bonuses, but I do fit for shield tank and got 70's in all areas, I just shut off my miners and kicked on the engine and shield booster and waited. By the time I was down to half shield, he was in a pod.
Now I watched a video of Goons doing this on YouTube, and it looks like they're only using one attacker typically, so, folks going pop to this stuff must have some really lousy skills and fittings.
Certainly it'd annoy me if this succeeded, but I always have my hauler nearby, so I'd have the satisfaction of looting my own wreck, and their wreck too at least.
But yeah, there is one change I think should be done, to really make these suicide attacks damaging to the aggressor... no insurance payout for getting popped by CONCORD. That just makes sense. It made sense long before this anti-miner campaign started.
And lastly, if you're really insisting on mining in an area where this is going on, take out a friggin' Dominix or Abaddon fitted for old school mining. It's ALMOST as good as a Covetor, and I'd love to see one of these idiots insta pop one of those armor laden badboys.
Anyway, that's my 2 isk. Space is dangerous, we should all accept that and just try to cope best we can.

How about stopping insurance payouts from 0.4 sec and below? Knowing how most real insurance companies work, they would just say you brought it upon yourself to get killed by entering dangerous space thus nullifying the insurance agreement..
Then you can talk about removing the insurance for getting killed by concord.

My miners have a very specific way of getting their minerals, which cuts the risk of casual harassment down to negligable. The number of losses to Goons, war-targets and/or canflippers has, since this modus operandi was put into operation, dropped to precisely zero. We pull 150m ISK a day with only four miners and one hauler. And guess what? So far, we haven't had a single unit of it stolen, and none of the ships involved have died.
If you cannot think of what this very, very simple method is, you are either fundamentally inept, clincally moronic or just plain lazy and should not be playing EVE. Give me your stuff and go back to WoW.

Nuh-uh. If every common and garden newb knew the secret of risk-free mining, the market would crash and Jihadswarm would start finding ways to counteract it. I've got a nice little thing going here and I'm paranoid enough that I won't say what it is.
But it's fairly easy to work out. Here's a hint:
Mix two seemingly seperate carebear pursuits, and you will find something that is infinetely safer and more profitable than either one alone.

I'm referring to corp hopping to get out of wardecs. When you set up 3, 4, 5 dummy corporations with alt placeholders for your members to jump to over and over to escape wardecs, it IS an exploit, no different from the iMune alliance hopping shenanigans.

The insurance payout for suicide attacks in high sec should be removed. So you will be still able to attack things and even get a nice profit if u r good at it but not at almost 0 risk.
