"how do they warp in on me"
doh!, I'm a carebare and I can work that one out:
step 1 get in a cov-ops (or recon). step 2 warp to a belt at 100 (outside all roid range usualy) under cloak. step 3 spot miner or go to step 2 again. step 4 avoiding roids and other obstructions get nice and close to your target while making sure your have a clear line of flight to warp away. step 5 tell suicide gang mate to warp to your position. step 6 warp or stroll away BEFORE the suicide ganker gets there so you dont' get de-cloaked by his warp in. step 7 look for the screams of anguish in local then go back to step 2 until you run out of suicide gankers.
If they are doing this they can be sure to always warp in to the right distance from you for what they are using. Done right you'd never see the cov-ops/recon. Just because you operate solo doesn't mean they do.

Thats not very fair.
I followed all the help and info on this forum.
I ran a passive tank i alligned to the station, and still this bloody ship warps right on top of me locks me webs and scrams me then blows me to the 4 winds. Then the cheeky bugger asked if i like the "fire works" and types Allah in local. Not funny and not the sort of PAYING game i wish to play i think.
If a BATTLESHIP had time to lock/scram you, you had plenty of time to warp out, praticularly if you were aligned. Losing multiple ships in the space of 45 minutes only points to your stupidity.

Again, we're making assumptions that beginning players are going to naturally understand the intricacies of recon/intel ops and higher functioning operations. Most MMOs just aren't constructed in this way (applauds CCP for creating a game that forces people to do this).
I refer folks to my previous post on this thread... There is something to be said for making it a little easier on the nubbins folks, they are the future of Eve dare I say.

Ummm, did you even read the stuff he posted in local? I lost 1 ship, he then proceded to blow more up that belonged to other people. There were mining ships everywhere. There were over 80-90 ships in local, mining ships were going everywhere when he warped in. So no im not stupid.

Let's get this straight. You were in high security space, correct? He blew you up with no response from CONCORD? You did not agress him or otherwise gave him kill rights on your ship?
I know you've written that before, but I wanted to explicitly ask those questions. If you answer yes to all three, then petition CCP for reimbursement of your ship.

Some people will argue and give varoius countermeasure/excuses. But the fact of the matter is that to counter suicide tactics, you have to play their game, or not play at all.
CCP have done much to improve one aspect of the game while letting the other slide, and in the universal arms race of bigger and better ships and weapons Concord, and other measures to protect these other playstyles have been largely ignored.
CCP has already it admitted it must do something to protect the gameplay of these players, but instead of just buffing concord something else must be done to deter attackers.
Like I said in the post before, its not a matter of learning. But more of a matter of forcing other players to play how you play.
You wouldn't like it if i made you mine in a hulk for 6 hours a day, just as these players don't like it if you force them to play the way you want them to.
Mining/trading are part of what make eve great, because those are the aspects casual players can get into without having to spend too many hours per week on.
If CCP allows this behavior to continue to escalate it will only be bad for eve as a whole.

I *really* don't get this particular brand of crying. This game has a mental learning curve - the vets have been here for years - but guess what? There is a slow rate of attrition as they have been there, done that or dislike the changes or whatever. There will come a time - in *years* when you have that many SP and that many ISK and are whinging about how great Trinity 1.1 was and why did they ever remove local and do you remember when there was only T2 & how T3 totally spoilt everything etc. etc.
If you could be as good as the old guys from day one - then the game would be way to easy and why would any of the people here be playing it?

This is no joke any more, i mean they just keep coming out in new ships and doing it over and over again. For gods sake at least make them station bound for 2 hours or something, this crap happened in the sapce of about 45 minutes, its not funny, this is griefing, and CCP should not support it.

I agree. CCP should give Goons some kind of thanks - perhaps a small monument like the Burn Eden one? - for reminding all players that YOU ARE NOT SAFE ANYWHERE, NOR IS IT INTENDED THAT YOU SHOULD BE.

Close, but not quite. The cov ops pilot gets in position aligned with the target and the direction the ships will be warping in from, and at a set distance behind the target (say 10 km). His friends then warp to him at 10 (or whatever distance is used) and they (if it's a good cov ops pilot who knows how to set up warp-ins) land right on top of the target without decloaking the cov ops and without the him having to move.
