Actually... I wonder what are we supposed to do if someone threatens to self destruct their RL pod? I've had people loose several billion to me in scams and have, on rare occasion, gotten the "give me back my isk or I'll off myself" threats in my EvE mail, to which I generally reply with the standard "your stuff: I can haz?" Is there something else I'm supposed to do? Should I petition stuff like that? Honest question here... honestly hadn't thought about it up to now. Is there a policy on this?

Whether they think it is acceptable or not is irrelvant. It is upto CCP to investigate and decide if any action needs to be taken that is all that is relevant to this matter. Not knowing if the CSMs have to sign another set of agreements, though I would suspect they do, and not knowing if those making appearnaces have to sign even more things and not being able to read them we can't really say what will happen.
The only thing tha comes close is the lates Blizzcon where one fo the people said a few unsavoury things about the Allience and Blizzard had to appologise for allowing it to happen. Though how they were going to oprevent it while it was live I have no idea.

Personally I think The Wanktani should just just own up and say sorry, instead of trying to defend what he said by essentially claiming that he can do what he wants since so many goons voted for him.
Telling players to harass another player who had privately expressed suicidal thought over a recent divorce is harassment. The Wanktani and his goons can claim otherwise all they want.
Harassment is against the EULA, it can even get you jailed in some countries if the consequencies of the bullying and harassment are serious enough.
