Exacly. There is low slot items that boost your sensor strength by 2, and medium items that boost it by 3. Make sure you use the same type of sensor boosters as your ship use, otherwise they will have no effect.

Well, I get 6 siege launchers on my raven on chaos with no problem since 80 x 6 = 480. Raven has 600 cpu as base without any skills at all, and with electronic 4, its 720. I do have a problem fitting guns to it though, but six siege is not a prob...

No no no. Everybody expects you to use EMP and Thermal cruise missiles. Use kinetic in PvP as there is a lot more people using emp and thermal hardeners than the kinetic ones. I dont know why. Guess they fear laser damage.
