That's all this character was designed to do. 67M skillpoints later, I've acquired Caldari Carrier V, Caldari Dreadnought V, Fighters V, and Citadel Torps V among countless other skills. I had trained Carrier V and Fighters V to ultimately fly a Wyvern, but now, it would be a complete waste of my time to jump into an 18B isk flying coffin. I trained Caldari Dreadnought V and Citadel Torps V so I could do excellent DPS on the capital battlefield in my Phoenix. Now, I'm having to train Cruise Missiles to V and likely Citadel Cruise Missles to IV or V in order to maintain the fitting on my dreadnought. This means I will be out of commission for combat for the next TWO MONTHS. I know that CCP in its infinite wisdom thinks that all missile skill chains should be independent, but consider this: Training Large Hybrid/Energy/Projectile Turret V allows you to use BOTH close and long range capital turrets. I think it's stupid that you are forcing missile using capital pilots to train Cruise V/Citadel Cruise Launchers. I feel terrible for Nag pilots. The simple solution is to simply change the skill to Capital Citadel Launchers or something similar and allow it to be the prerequisite for both Citadel Torp and Cruise launchers. This way, Phoenix and Nag pilots still have to commit to long/short in fitting, but aren't forced to undergo another capital weapon grind other capital pilots aren't reqired to simply to be able to use their ship. Oh and even after that grind is finished we're stuck doing half damage either by using cruises or torpedos without painters (which DONT WORK)! Please, CCP, stop infuriating your veteran players and make this patch worthwhile. ٩๏̯͡๏)۶ PS: Just reinstate Abathar's Titan/Mothership changes; they looked really fun to try, the players liked them generally, and it would certainly thin the overpopulation of supercapitals

Where are the massive capital slugfests you promised, with motherships and titans on the field along with dreadnaughts and carriers? How can you NOT possibly see that these ships are terrible and serve little more than an ego booster for a rich alliance or pilot? Your short-sightedness on matters like these is totally disturbing. Battle Tested Shiva	Posted - 2009.11.20 01:15:00 - [434] Maybe we should contact all the gaming magazinzes, gaming critics and other gaming entities out there and inform them about the true CCP, you know the CCP that refuses to listen to it's playerbase, the one that hires dumbasses who dont even know how this game is played. CCP announced this huge expansion to get more subscriptions and to get people to reactivate their Mothership accounts. Once people did then they threw the whole works of CCP Abathur into file 13. Then dont even do any PR for fear of **ing off the community which all it did was create an uproar of their most loyal customers. I'd like to see who they put in charge of damage control once their subscriptions take a drastic dive. I believe it will be too little too late and any new MMO spaceship game out there will flourish with new subscriptions because of a lack of judgement on the part of CCP higherups. Props to CCP for having a great game up to this point and for making it last so long, my deepest sympathy also goes out to CCP for implementing a bunch of "**" and losing the luster this game once had to a failed attempt at fixing what the playerbase has been wanting.

I've played this game for 6 years and this was the only patch that I have been truly looking forward to. The fact that some forum moderators have decided to remove postings may play well here under their rules, but won't be so easily removed on other gaming sites. The mothership was fantastic and now is far too vulnerable to even consider fielding due to being destroyed instantly in 0.0. Hence they are no longer part of the equation in 0.0 space since they are not receiving an EHP boost. They will be kept logged off indefinately. Nohz's turnabout is not only not very well thought out, but his reaction shows that he is suffering a great deal of stress from these forum postings. His past suggests that he doesn't care much about player sentiment, but his reversal is uncharacteristically strong. No employer wants to keep any employee that brings bad and very negative publicity to CCP. I would sense that his continued employemnt will not last for long. Eve has been essentially turned inot a game of 'capture the flag', which fewer tactics and strategiies. Time will tell, but the game has become less fun and the gaming blogs and forums will represent this. Good graphcis can only hold people for so lonng, it's the gameplay of fantastic games like 'Starcraft' that keep players playying even do this day. We will see in the end. "Dear Eve community: In our effort to bring cool new content that we felt players would enjoy we fell into the same trap that numerous other game development companies have fallen into and for this we apologize. We came up with capital ships and they were clearly popular with the playerbase but we made a slight miscalculation when we introduced the concept of an alliance level supercapital ship. You see we never actually tested the effect that these originally invincible monsters would have on overall gameplay and we freely admit our rookie mistake. In our misguided attempt to balance the cost vs utility of these items we quickly realized that to make them worthwhile is to have a game breaking platform that ruined overall gameplay and destroyed any chance of mass alliance vs alliance warfare that is anything remotely close to fun. Whoops! We've realized that there is no way to introduce these broken items in any form into the game without making everybody unhappy so we are going to reimburse all owners of these items to their build cost and we will not introduce them into the game again. Sorry for any inconvenience and we'll strive not to make such a mistake again. Also ignore any of our attempt to try and duct tape this broken concept into semi usefulness, that was just the effort of a few misguided dev's who while meaning well, didn't know when to just say 'ok this whole concept is dumb and we're cutting our losses'. ImnotwearingUnderwear	Posted - 2009.11.20 01:19:00 - [445] Edited by: ImnotwearingUnderwear on 20/11/2009 01:21:20 lol this reminds me when coca cola scrapped its original recipe for new coke. here are some constructive comments: don't make a live change to anything if it is not tested thoroughly and is horribly screwed up. if you had to backpedal on a major issue then you should be adding several weeks/months to your development time of the patch. another thing is having somebody in charge of something but does not understand the basic concept of what they are in charge of, is generally a very bad idea. imagine if a car company put a marketing guy in charge of production, kiss several billion dollars (not isk) goodbye. also please have somebody proof read dev blogs so they are not horribly bad
