CCP Nozh: okay i guess those changes were bad, I'll give them an additional fighter and let them dock. Players: DOUBLEYEW TEE EFF - threadnaught occurs - CCP Nozh: Well clearly since those ideas weren't well received we won't be doing anything to motherships at all. Also, you can totally target paint ships that are immune to electronic warfare. Players: WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS Even as someone without a direct interest in the state of motherships, the way this has panned out is frankly appalling and makes me feel betrayed. Honestly, i see the need for a super long range capital logistics ship something like 150% bonus to Capital Shield and Armor transfer range per level That would put the mothership far enough out of the fight as to not be easily ganked by the massive dreadnought fleets. That plus a large HP increase would really give this ship a role.

As far as I am aware, everyone was happy with the preliminary numbers, and player testing didn't reveal any particularly horrific flaws. Suddenly, the entire suite of changes was thrown out the window for a set that completely changed the mothership mechanic in a way that ticked off the majority of New Eden. Amidst the backlash, now all of the Mothership/Supercarrier changes have been thrown out the window. What happened? What was wrong with the first version of Supercarriers?

Given that so far the playerbase hasn't been given even one single word on why the thousands of hours of playtesting of Abathur's changes on Sisi were thrown in the trash by another developer without any warning or explanation, what exactly makes you even consider that any player is still willing to volunteer his time to constructively test new ship designs? Just to maybe have them thrown out 2 weeks before deployment again?
